‘Tayong Dalawa: The Untold Beginning’ to be revealed this Sunday

Now that Tayong Dalawa is on its final week, the top-rating teleserye is offering a rare treat for avid viewers who made the show number one all over the country. The untold beginnings of the teleserye featuring the lives of Rita (Gina Pareño), Elizabeth (Helen Gamboa), Marlyn (Cherry Pie Picache), and Ingrid (Agot Isidro) will be unveiled in a very special episode entitled Tayong Dalawa: The Untold Beginning airing September 20 right after ASAP ’09 on ABS-CBN.
The special episode brings viewers back to the time when Marlyn and David Garcia Sr. first met at a former US airbase where they had a brief fling, not knowing that it would later lead to a world of tragedy and suffering. Learn the reasons for Marlyn’s pursuit of love despite being forced into prostitution like her mom Rita who in turn will become responsible for keeping the dark secrets in their family.
Sao Paulo Brazil – A trip I will never forget.
I never dreamed a time in my life that I would one day travel to Brazil and fall in love with the people there. It’s a place where time doesn’t seem to matter. Kaya siguro voted ng Forbes ang Rio de Janeiro as the number one happiest city in the world according to a Barrio Siete write-up ng sister kong si Mel Beckham. Ang ditse ninyo, di malaman ang gagawin niya sa hinaba haba ng oras. It’s not the same as here in the United States where people are always rushing. Rushing to go to work, rushing to come home…rushing… rushing… rushing.
The trip was nine and a half hours long. I had to drive from my place to fly out of JFK International Airport. So, add another two and a half hours to that. Hindi ko akalaing dahil sa ka-cheapan ko at ayaw magbayad ng mahal na airfare… mas humaba pa ang trip ko. Seriously though, I was traveling with a friend from New York kaya we decided to fly out of JFK instead.
Here’s my view from 30,000 feet. This was before we landed in Sao Paulo.
Shempre, kontingdrama kaya shot-by-shot ang bigay ko sa inyo.
Ang ganda ng mga bundok dun. And it was a little hazy dahil umaga kami dumating.

Kris Bernal denies being sighted at Starbucks kissing Carlo Aquino
Headline sa isang tabloid na nakita raw na magkasama kamakailan sina Kris Bernal at Carlo Aquino ng alas dos ng madaling araw sa Starbucks Commonwealth. At nahuli daw silang naghahalikan. Sabi tuloy ng mga nakakita, si Carlo raw siguro ang talagang boyfriend ni Kris at hindi totoong ka-MU (mutual understanding) niya na ang ka-love team na si Aljur Abrenica.
Nagkaroon ng chance na makausap si Kris kagabi, September 18, nang hindi sinasadyang makita namin siya sa Shakey’s Tomas Morato. Tinanong ng PEP si Kris kung totoo ang balita tungkol sa kanila ni Carlo.
BB Gandanghari gets new set of wheels
Binibining Gandanghari, also known as BB these days, has received a classy gift from her brother Robin Padilla: a Honda CRV.
In a segment on Startalk, BB talked about how rapturously she received the Silverstone-colored compact sports utility vehicle and how she was, as her handler said, “na-shock sa caru [car] na bigay ni Robin!”
BB baptized the new car with a road trip to Batangas.
The fully paid top-of-the-line vehicle, however, is thought to be part of a down payment for a movie she and Robin would supposedly be making in the near future. Be it a gift or otherwise, it’s still a nice thing to have.
In a telephone interview with Startalk, BB shared more details about the SUV. Did she ask for it or was it given to her as gift?
KC Concepcion says she and Piolo Pascual became good friends but not Lovers in Paris
Si KC Concepcion ang tipo ng artistang hindi basta pasasakayin ang fans para lang maka-create ng romantic buzz na pakikinabangan ng latest movie or teleseryeng kinatatampukan niya.
Kapansin-pansin ito sa pag-uusisa ng press tungkol kay Piolo Pascual na kapareha niya sa bagong teleserye ng ABS-CBN, ang Lovers in Paris.
“Wala naman kasing developments. Talagang magkaibigan lang kami ni Piolo. We got along well, lalo na noong nasa Paris pa kami, hanggang ngayong nagpu-promote na kami.
“Doon kasi, we had all the time in the world, na wala kaming iniintindi kung hindi Lovers in Paris lang. Pagdating dito sa Pilipinas, naku, nag-iba na! Kasi, kanya-kanya nang pagiging busy, may kanya-kanya kaming buhay rito,” natatawa at napapailing na sabi ni KC.
Kristine Hermosa says relationship with Oyo Sotto will soon be “boyfriend-girlfriend thing”

Hindi na nakapagtataka kung bakit nai-in love na rin si Kristine Hermosa kay Oyo Sotto. Ang sabi ni Kristine: “Very loving kasi si Oyo. Maka-Diyos at saka mabait din sa pamilya.”
Generous daw kasi sa pagmamahal si Oyo. Hindi raw si Oyo ang tipong nagde-demand ng kapalit sa magandang ipinararamdam niya sa babae.
“Na-prove ko kasi,” sabi ni Kristine. “Hoping lang siya, but not demanding. Kaya nga nakuha niya sa tiyaga. Doon ko naramdaman na talagang mahal niya ako, kasi nandiyan lang siya. Naghihintay lang. Hindi siya nag-i-impose. Yun yung klase ng love na ipinapakita niya sa akin kaya naa-appreciate ko.
“Hindi tuloy ako takot na kung hindi ko ma-meet ang expectations niya, mawawala na rin ang love niya. Hindi kasi siya ganoon. Na-prove ko kasi ‘yan, na kahit hindi ko siya tratuhin nang maayos, nariyan lang siya. Na-realize ko naman yun na hindi tama.”
Hindi naman daw perfect si Oyo. Malapit lang daw ito sa ideal na tinatawag para kay Kristine.
“Na-test ko lang yung gaano kahirap, yung kahit gaano katagal,” aniya.
Pero tinanong din ng PEP si Kristine kung okey lang na siya naman ang maghihintay para kay Oyo.
“Oh, yeah!” napapailing na natatawa si Tintin. “Why not? Pero si Oyo kasi ang nakakabilib, willing pa rin siyang maghintay kahit walang katiyakan. Wala siya yung grabeng expectations. Hindi ko rin kasi pupuwedeng sabihin kung kailan na.
“Hindi pa naman talaga boyfriend-girlfriend thing ito, pero malapit na rin talaga doon. Basta nandiyan lang kami para sa isa’t isa. Mas maganda yata yun. Gaya ako, may moods ako na hindi basta maiintindihan ng mga lalaki. Pero si Oyo, kung hindi niya maintindihan, hindi niya ipipilit yung gusto niya. Pababayaan lang niya ako.”
Malaki ang ibinahagi ni Jericho Rosales at ang naging relasyon nila para makapag-isip-isip talaga nang matino si Kristine tungkol sa kanyang sariling diskarte.
“Parang natakot din kasi talaga ako to cling to someone. Ganoon kasi ako noon kay Echo. Kaya nga I was devastated when I was left alone. Matagal na rin namang tapos yun. Napapag-usapan na lang, kasi dapat kong ipaliwanag kung bakit ganito ang pananaw ko sa pag-ibig ngayon.
“Maski ngayong nagtatrabaho kami ni Echo for Dahil May Isang Ikaw, wala na akong panahon pa para mag-isip ng kung anu-anong expectations sa kanya. Kasi, mayroon nang nagmamahal talaga sa akin.
“Alam naman ninyo na matagal din bago ako nakapag-move on talaga, and Oyo helped me a lot to go through that. Hindi sa wala akong pagpapahalaga sa pagsisikap ni Oyo, sa tiyaga niya, pero ayoko talaga yung parang naka-cling ako sa kanya, na bawat bagay hahanapin ko siya dahil nasanay ang sarili ko na ganoon.
“Parang nakakatakot lang kasi na parang lahat na lang ng bagay sa buhay ko, part na yung guy. E, paano nga kung mawala siya sa akin? Hindi natin alam kung ano ang pupuwedeng mangyari,” paliwanag ni Kristine.
Should anyone really go without health care?
There’s been a lot of debates about the Health Care Reform that President Obama is desperately trying to pass through Congress. There are many that are for it.. and many that aren’t. The details of the Health Care Reform Bill was really vague in the beginning and although town hall meetings and information put out by the White House have explained some of the questions that rose from the town hall meetings may have helped a bit, a lot of citizens are still up in the air about it including myself.
I am non-political and I’ve said that many times before. I voted for President Obama because I wanted change. But it seems that there is really a lot of opposition against this bill that I myself don’t know what to say about it. It is because a lot of the details are still unclear.
I do however have one story to tell and this story may or may not convince you why we need health care for everyone.
KC Concepcion admits there is extra pressure on them about making ‘Lovers in Paris’ a success
While KC Concepcion is excited about her first teleserye Lovers in Paris, she also felt the pressure on her and the rest of the cast and crew to make the series a success is doubled since the original series was a phenomenal success when it was first aired. “Of course, we’re all pressured but I think we’ve been working on this for about six or seven months and we’ve been working hard… I think it’s finally time to show this (Lovers in Paris) and let it out of the box. We’re thankful about everything,” said KC.
While she admits that she is worried about what people’s response will be to Lovers in Paris’s Filipino version, she said that they are doing everything to be on par with the original. “Ninenerbiyos po kami dahil nga marami pong nagmahal nung original, pero ang ganda po talaga ng storya niya, binigyan po namin ng timplang Pinoy yung storya and pinaganda pa po namin yung mga shots pati po yung mga cast namin sobra po kami magkasundo kaya maganda po talaga yung magiging version natin.”
Piolo Pascual says he really hopes to win KC Concepcion’s heart
As much as Piolo Pascual would like to avoid questions about his relationship with KC Concepcion off screen, he couldn’t help but share how happy he is to be working with her. When asked how he feels that KC really values his opinion—from the most basic things about acting like discipline and dealing with different kinds of people to deeper questions about life and how to take care of oneself—the dashing actor shared that he also treasures the chance to be there for her every step of the way. “Masaya ako because nagkasama kami sa trabaho and because of work we became closer again. It’s a blessing that we got the chance to work together at mas naging close kami not just professionally but personally. She’s really determined to learn so malaking encouragement sa akin yun to always be there for her.”

John Lloyd Cruz expressed his gratitude to Ruffa Gutierrez for her nice gesture, when she supposedly rented a movie cinema for a special screening of his latest film, In My life, which her family and friends attended. However, the box-office king clarified that it was not just Ruffa who planned the special screening. “Marami silang friends na interested in watching the movie. And they would want to watch the movie na magkakasama sila.” Aside from Ruffa, Lloydy said that their common friend Divine Lee, also planned the event. He justified, “Ang sinasabi ko lang, siguro dahil ganoon kadami ‘yung friends nila and na-accommodate nung buong theater na lahat ay kailangan nilang i-invite.”

Lovers in Paris marks KC Concepcion‘s grand entrance to the world of teleseryes. Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon nga ay mapapanood na si KC sa isang primetime series sa telebisyon katambal ang isa sa top leading men ng ABS-CBN na si Piolo Pascual.

What makes them do horrible things? Raymond Clark III charged on Yale Grad Student’s Murder

I don’t understand – and probably will never understand what triggers people to do horrible things such as this. If I remember correctly, just last April another guy dubbed as the “Craigslist Killer” Philip Markoff who allegedly murdered Julissa Brisman after she was discovered lying face down in a pool of blood at a hotel in Boston. She was a masseuse and she was at the hotel to meet a client whom she met on Craigslist which will be featured on Seven Days of Rage . (The program will be broadcast on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT in conjunction with the release of the book “Seven Days of Rage: The Deadly Crime Spree of The Craigslist Killer” (Pocket Books) out this week.
Now here comes another guy, Raymond Clark III who was charged Thursday, September 17th, for allegedly killing a 24-year old Yale Grad Student, Annie Le after taking samples of his saliva, hair and fingernail samples to compare with the evidence at Yale’s Medical School.
Both men are good-looking men and had what seems to be promising careers. If you look at their pictures on social networking sites, they appear to be normal and fun-loving individuals. I would never even suspect either one of them to be capable of murdering anyone just by looking at them. But I guess that is the mystery. What makes these individuals commit such horrible crimes?
Even the most angelic-looking guy could be a murderer. Take a look at these photos. Both men look so normal. You will never guess that these men are capable of murder. One can never be too careful these days.
Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion agree not to talk about personal relationship while Lovers In Paris is airing
Piolo Pascual did not know what to say when asked about the real score between him and Lovers in Paris leading lady KC Concepcion during the show’s press conference last night, September 17, at the Dolphy Theater of the ABS-CBN building.
It took him a few seconds before he actually answered the question. While looking at KC, who was seated beside him, he said: “Ah, paano ko ba sasagutin ‘to? Kasi po, ang nangyari kasi, during the course of time… Isa sa mga separate interviews namin, siyempre given na kapag prepared ka, sabihin na ganito, ‘What’s the real score?’ We just decided na siguro mag-focus na muna kami dito sa show. Because whatever we say, it will be cliché already, e. Parang magka-partner kayo, sabihin na kayo, aminin ninyong kayo, ‘tapos pagkatapos ng show, wala na.”

CCP pays tribute to Imelda Marcos in spite of protests

In spite of protests by party-list Bayan Muna, the Alliance of Concerned Teachers, and other groups, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) pushed through with its gala event Seven Arts, One Imelda last Friday, September 11.
The program featured nine of the most prominent Filipino singers and musicians, and a montage of the seven arts: music, dance, solo and choral singing, performance art, fashion and oratorio.
The musical extravaganza was staged in honor of the CCP’s founding Chair, Imelda Romualdez Marcos. The former First Lady graced the formal event wearing a red and black dress, with her trademark butterfly sleeves accented by a diamond and ruby necklace.
PEP asked the widow of the late President Ferdinand Marcos how she felt about this tribute.
“Well, I am so happy that after all these years, the CCP is still producing so many great artists that we Filipinos can be proud of,” said Imelda. “This sanctuary that we started to build 44 years ago, and was finished 40 years ago, has become a sanctuary for the Filipino soul, a monument to the Filipino spirit, and has really given life to the spirits of our people. And it is here where the good, true and beautiful has become real. ”
“And so I am very grateful to the artists. I’m very grateful to everybody for making this Cultural Center a sanctuary for the Filipino soul and spirit. Hopefully, what is beautiful in all of us, will also unite us, not only enrich us and give us a great future. I pray and hope that this future is here forever. And I know it will.”

Isang special screening ang ibinigay ni Ruffa Gutierrez para sa pelikulang In My Life sa My Cinema, Greenbelt 3, kagabi, September 16—opening day ng naturang pelikula ng Star Cinema. Patuloy na pinalalakas ng May Bukas Pa at Tayong Dalawa ang Primetime Bida block ng ABS-CBN. Sa inilabas ng TNS Media Research na national TV ratings para araw ng Wednesday, September 16 ay nakakuha ang dalawang Kapamilya teleserye ng 39.2%, kaya ang dalawang programa ang hinirang na most watched shows in the country sa nasabing araw.

Coco Martin is slowly recovering after his accident

Coco Martin is now feeling better after suffering an injury during the taping of the teleserye Tayong Dalawa last September 15. Coco was rushed to the University of Sto. Tomas hospital after suffering minor burns on the left side of his face and his eye when an action scene he was doing for the teleserye got out of hand. He was later sent home after receiving treatment. According to ABS-CBN News, Coco went to an eye surgeon during the morning of September 16 to have his eye checked. The actor also consulted a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon about the burns on his face.
