John Lloyd Cruz expects ticklish first-time teamwork with Angel Locsin
Reigning Box-offce King John Lloyd Cruz inked another two-year contract with the Kapamilya network last Monday, October 26. In almost one decade of his showbiz career, John Lloyd already made his own niche in the industry as one of the best dramatic actors of his generation.
In an interview with PEP after the contract-signing, the actor expressed his elated gratitude for all the good projects that his mother studio gives him.
“Siyempre, bibihira ang nabibigyan ng ganitong pagkakataon, bibihira ang nakaka-experince ng ganitong klaseng pagtitiwala mula sa ganitong kalaking kumpanya, mula sa isang napakalaking miyembro ng executive world ng ABS-CBN. Hindi yun madalas sa mga kagaya namin, so talagang punung-puno ako ng pasasalamat.

The album cover for Adam Lambert‘s album entitled, “For Your Entertainment” is quite bold. Ha! And I thought I would be the only one who’s going to be shocked that he would be this bold. But I guess, it’s an artist’s perspective.
Someone already mentioned that it looks like Xanadu-remake. For those of you who don’t know Xanadu (gosh has it been that long?), it was a film starring Olivia Newton-John. See if you can spot the difference.

Does this mean that my nephews and nieces aren’t going to be smarter than they already are? I remember my sister going gaga over these videos – the so-called “turn your kids into Einsteins by watching these videos” product called “Baby Einstein“. She used to put them in front of the TV watching these videos for long periods of time while she’s working or doing laundry and stuff.
Well, according to New York Times , Disney has now offered a refund to anyone who has purchased the videos because according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, no baby should really be exposed to tv screens under the age of 2 because it affects the child’s attention span.
A team of lawyers concerned about the “deceptive advertising” threatened Disney that they will file a class action suit against the company unless they provide a full refund to anyone who purchased the Baby Einstein videos since 2004. The company’s website has now made a refund offer for any videos returned (without receipt) at the purchase price of $15.99 each up to four DVDs per household, may exchange the DVD for a different title or receive a discount coupon.
My sister’s kids are no longer infants and they are very smart and talented kids. I guess, I wouldn’t be able to credit those traits to the Baby Einstein videos now… maybe their prescription eye wear at such a very young age.
If you have any of the Baby Einstein Videos – you may opt for an exchange, obtain a refund in full or get a discount coupon until March 10, 2010. Well well. I guess a lot of women and men will be happy about the big reveal when Levi Johnston poses for the Playgirl online version release for the holidays. According to reports, his manager Tank Jones has confirmed that he is 90% certain that Levi will bare it all in the upcoming issue that will be shot in mid-November.
People Magazine has reported that it is almost certain that Levi will have a full frontal display when the issue is released. Get that grin off your face! LOL!
I guess we all have to see when the finished product is released. I must say, the hype is getting a lot of people excited. Hmmm… maybe a Playgirl subscription online will not be a bad Christmas gift after all!

Daylight Savings Time Change 2009
I got a call from a friend over the weekend asking if daylight savings time already kicked in because his computer time changed. I know that this year, the day to change our clocks here on the east coast is November 1st @ 2:00 a.m. I remember that it was back in 2007 when it was changed to be during the first week of November.
So I told him, “No, we haven’t changed the time yet!” Always remember to FALL back and SPRING forward. So this time, when 2:00 a.m. comes around on November 1st *(SUNDAY), turn your clock back 1 hour which would give you an extra hour of sleep time… or extra hour at the bar …and have another drink. 
This is not applicable to all states however and you must know that some states don’t even have to do anything during the time-change.

True to the Trump spirit, Ivanka Trump‘s wedding to Jared Kushner this weekend at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey was kinda hush-hush – at least to me.
But many were wondering about the style of her wedding gown which was created by couture designer, Vera Wang. According to E-Online.com, it was a Grace Kelly-inspired gown and we all know that when you associate anything to Grace Kelly that it would speak of elegance and “grace”. Well, it was dead-on. Has Madonna been talking to Oprah? She is set to open a school for girls in Malawi.
According to reports by CNN, Madonna will be in the African nation of Malawi to break ground for the building of a school for girls. She has been heavily involved with Malawi after she adopted two of her children from there.
The school — Raising Malawi Academy for Girls — will focus on empowering women to become leaders, the singer said on a Web site run by her charity. It will be built in the capital, Lilongwe.
Wow! Although it is a very admirable thing to do, I hope she protects the children there more than Oprah had protected hers. Remember when it was found that girls in Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls were molested by the caretakers?
I hope our dear popstar has learned from that lesson and will do everything in her power to employ watchdogs to report any immediate signs of abuse.

Katrina Halili reacts to the DOJ’s decision regarding her case against Hayden Kho Jr.
The Department of Justice has finally reached a decision regarding the case of Katrina Halili against cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho Jr., which the actress filed last June under Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act.
Last October 22, the DOJ approved the indictment of the celebrity doctor in the complaint filed by Katrina, stemming from the video showing them in explicit sexual acts.
The DOJ’s resolution states: “We find that the evidence presented by complainant during the preliminary investigation merit the prosecution of said respondent for violation of RA 9262.”

Nang tanungin ni Ruffa sina Sam at Toni kung ano ang dahilan kung bakit masyadong malakas ang kanilang chemistry, sinabi ni Sam na ang alam niya ay they compliment each other at isa ito sa mga bagay na hindi na maipaliwanag. Sinabi naman ni Toni na opposites attract at dahil magkaiba ang kanilang ugali at kultura ay marami silang natutunan sa isa’t isa dahil sa magkaibang kinalakhan.

AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (Oct. 20-22): It is a see-saw battle between PBB Double Up and Survivor Philippines: Palau
The battle between ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother Double Up and GMA-7′s Survivor Philippines: Palau intensifies as the two competing primetime reality shows try to oudo one another in the ratings. PBB Double Up had better numbers last Wednesday (Oct. 21) and Thursday (Oct. 22), but Survivor Palau had the lead last Tuesday (Oct. 20).
But overall, the primetime race is still being ruled by GMA-7 fantaserye Darna, with fellow Kapuso programs Stairway To Heaven and 24 Oras breathing down its neck.
In the meantime, the daytime race undoubtedly belongs to Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga!.

According to actor-producer Richard Gutierrez, the film Patient X aims to give a modern twist to the aswang, a supernatural creature in Filipino folklore. During the grand press con of Patient X, he told the media, “We have a different take on it. This time, we tried to give it a modern and hindi namin binigyan ng typecast ang aswang. We made our own version.”

DOJ indicts Hayden Kho, clears Dra. Vicki Belo and others in sex-video case
The Department of Justice (DOJ) yesterday, October 22, indicted cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho for violation of the Violence Against Women and Children Act (Republic Act 9262) in connection with the controversial sex video that proliferated in May showing Kho having sex with various women, including actress Katrina Halili.
The DOJ endorsed the filing of the criminal case to the Pasig Regional Trial Court, stating that careful assessment of the merits presented by prosecution convinced the panel tasked to evaluate the case that Hayden indeed committed a serious offense, enough to put him on trial.

This will be a good movie for me to watch since I am trying to learn Portuguese – at the same time, the subject matter is so controversial that I am quite interested to see how they play the roles and how compelling it would be.
As you know, the movie is a Brazilian film entitled Do Começo Ao Fim. (From Beginning to End) It is a movie about brothers who are also lovers. Not only that the subject matter is quite taboo, it is also something that probably won’t go well in the U.S.

News of Celebrity Splits are quite rampant these days. Is there really true love?
It’s been reported first by In Touch Weekly that 36-year old T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy) and his 20-year old boyfriend, Mark Cornelsen have called it quits. They do intend to remain friends and that’s a good thing.
T.R. is also performing on a musical through November 15th in Los Angeles entitled “Parade”. According to Access Hollywood, the actor also intends to have babies… ??? We’re not sure how he’s going to do it.. but I think that’s cute. I always thought he is cute anyway……
