KC Concepcion would like to try acting in indie films
Having a teleserye is a dream come true for KC Concepcion and now that Lovers in Paris has proven to be a successful project, KC reveals that she wants to try other things besides doing mainstream TV. “I would love to do indie. ‘Yun nga yung maganda this year na-fulfill ko na ‘yun pangarap ko na subukan lahat. Nagumpisa po ako sa theater, then nag-hosting na rin ako then movies then teleserye and commercials so maganda ‘yung feeling ko ngayon na masubukan lahat ng iba’t ibang klaseng paraan para umarte magawa ko and now it would be nice to do an indie film and it will be masaya talaga and parang experimental ng konti,” shared KC.
Having said that, ABS-CBN.com asked KC is she was ever offered to do one by her leading man, Piolo Pascual, as the latter also produces films now. “Minsan napaguusapan na rin pero depende na rin po siguro yun sa mga manager ko na mahal na mahal ko na gusto ko rin naman sila yung magdesisyon but I would really like to try new things all the time.”
Meanwhile, KC admits showing some skin in Lovers in Paris is a major step in her career. She adds that having a good figure is a result of hard work. She knows the demands and standards in the showbiz industry but she believes that being sexy and fit is something that she also owes to herself. “Parang commitment ko na lang din ‘yun sa show at sa akin din na maging fit na ako ngayon tsaka ayoko nang bumalik sa ganung katawan na overweight. Siyempre you have to take control of your body, you have to take care of yourself. Sa simula pa lang dun sa kinakain ko dati nagi-isda pa ako pero wala akong manok beef at pork ng ten years. Ngayon, talgang kahit isda tina-try ko na i-limit so puro gulay na lang kinakain ko and I’ve been running, I’ve been diving, and our family, we’ve been biking na rin. Maganda ‘yung feeling na medyo active ‘yung lifestyle mo, maganda yung healthy.”
