Manny Pacquiao, Efren Penaflorida – let’s close 2009 with Michael Paul and Jennifer from Zamboanga
The Philippines have been on the news lately with the magnificent win of Manny Pacquiao from his fight against Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. Filipinos rejoiced. Although the jubilation was cut short of an allegedaffair scandal with Krista Ranillo, we are still proud of Manny Pacquiao for the pride his given to the Philippines.
The next one was Efren Penaflorida who won as CNN Hero of 2009. Thanks to the many people who voted through this blog and many other blogs around the world. He not only deserved to win, he is an inspiration to us all. Awaken from slumber through the devastating typhoon Ondoy, Filipinos have once again proven that we are a resilient race – ready to bounce back anytime we are hit with a tragedy.
Who could be next? Well, if I may ask my readers to support Filipinos Michael Paul and Jennifer Cocuaco as the reality contestants of Ultimate Thailand Explorers. They are one of the TOP 5 finalists out of the original 192 contestants representing the Philippines (the only Asians who made the cut).
My readers have never let me down. When I asked you for support when our first Filipino Torchbearer Marco Torres was in the running, you responded with great pride and he made it. Recently, you made Efren Penaflorida the CNN Hero of the Year 2009.
Let’s not stop there and make 2009 our proudest year ever. I am asking you once again to vote for Michael Paul and Jennifer Cocuaco. Of course, when I received an email from Mark and Jennifer, I didn’t hesitate. I would like them to win The Ultimate Thailand Explorers. Let’s make this happen peeps! This is a reality competition that started with 192 contestants from all over the world. After 2 months, the competition is down to 5 finalists and the Philippines is one of them. Our fellow contestants are 3 Americans and 1 French team. We are the only Asian team that made it!
