New York Times’ 1 in 8 Million – A photo story book I love
I love photos. Photos do tell quite a bit of a story about the lives of a person, the people, the place and everything else around it. It can capture a moment and it’s amazing to me how New York Times have put these stories together. I started with one and I couldn’t stop. I found myself watching every single one. There’s a story about a mozzarella lady, a blind wine taster, a kid who just moved to Queens to be with his gay father and his partner (I liked this story as well). You can listen to snippets of the story first before you even play it which makes it more interactive. If you become interested, you click on play… it’s pretty awesome.
The one story that caught my eye is the story about brothers. One gay and one straight. The straight guy is telling the story on how he and his gay brother never even got along when they were growing up. But somehow, they found a link. They found RUGBY. Yes, the sport doofus!
It’s called Gotham Knights – a gay Rugby Team and if you really want to hear the story – - follow this link. I think you will be fascinated not only with this story but the rest of the stories compiled by New York Times.
