Tiger Woods Scandal sells almost record copies of US Weekly and People Magazine

Kaching!!!   Popeater reports that Us Weekly and People Magazine sold a lot of copies of their issues due to the Tiger Woods Affair Scandals.  Apparently, from what I’ve read – Kate Gosslin holds the current record at the moment but if more women come forward, this could break the Kate Gosslin record.

I would say that it is the same for celebrity bloggers.  Traffic has been consistent regarding news about Tiger.  Google Trends hasn’t let up as well as anything “Tiger” were always in the TOP 5 of the most search words on Google.

If magazines are making a lot of money on this fiasco, I think that it won’t stop anytime soon – - or at least until the interest dries up.  Here’s what Popeater.com has to say:

Unfortunately, I have more bad news for troubled Tiger Woods. Last week’s People and Us Weekly magazine covers with the golf legend plastered all over were huge sellers. That means this story isn’t going anywhere soon. “Once you sell that many magazines in one week, you’re going to be on the covers again and again until you stop selling. It’s simply demand and supply,” an industry insider explained. “Tiger is the new Kate Gosselin, who broke the record by appearing on seven consecutive Us Weekly covers.”

“If Tiger keeps selling like last week, he might break her record,” my insider says.

Eight weeks of Tiger? I can’t … I’m begging you. Pick up a copy of Life & Style this week and show its cover girl Sandra Bullock some love. Together, we can stop this Tiger madness.Source

First of all, shame on the MEDIA !! This country has much, much more to worry about than Tiger Woods. How about unemployment, the economy, the way the government is spending money like drunken sailors – that’s news. I could care less what Tiger has to say and am insulted that no matter what channel I tuned into, there he was, tripping over himself with his lame apologies. He’s sorry alright, sorry he got caught; but that’s not my business. He is right – it’s between he and his wife. Lets face it, 50% (or better) of Americans have most likely cheated on their spouse but 1) not 10+ affairs and 2) most people are not in the public eye.
Please don’t play the “sex addict” card. Just because Tiger has acted like an idiot doesn’t mean he can play the rest of the country like a bunch of morons. Great PR people, my advice – keep them around because that was a hell of an idea.
In closing, Victoria Siwik-Daniels…are you kidding me??? “You didn’t deserve this” – please tell me I didn’t hear that correctly. If I did, my response to you is ‘boo-hoo’. He was married – SHAME ON YOU! You are no better than him. You received the equivalent of a public stoning and you deserved it. I hope you’ve learned something from this experience.
Please, can we now close the book on Tiger’s extramarital activities, leave he and his wife alone and get back to what is really important? I can’t take this trivial, meaningless trash any longer! If I wanted to hear this garbage, I’d buy the Star or Enquire Magazine.
