Prince William slept on the streets of London to create awareness
Princess Diana raised two very find kids. Prince Harry (my first love) does his share by volunteering for the armed services and helping out kids in Africa. Prince William most recently, slept on the streets of London to create awareness for Centrepoint, a charity for the homeless.
“I cannot, after one night, even being to imagine what it must be like to sleep rough on London’s streets night after night. I hope that by deepening my understanding of the issue, I can help do my bit to help the most vulnerable on our streets.”
Seyi Obakin, head of the homeless charity Centrepoint who joined William on the challenge, said later sleeping rough is “scary”.
“The hairiest moment was when we were almost run over by a road sweeper which didn’t see our small group huddled together, which shows how vulnerable rough sleepers are,” Obakin said.
According to IBN, Prince William was inspired by his mother when Princess Diana was the a patron for Centrepoint and regularly brought Princes William and Harry during her visits to the homeless.
