VIDEO: Richard Heene, Father of Balloon Boy Hoax sentenced to 90 days in Jail
Richard Heene, the father of the now infamous Balloon Boy was sentenced to 90 days in jail plus probation for the stunt he pulled in making everyone believe that his son was stuck in a weather baloon. He apparently perpetrated the hoax in order to land a TV Reality Show deal. The cost of the attempted rescue was approximately 50,000 US Dollars of taxpayer money. His wife, Mayumi Heene received a similar sentence which would put her to jail for 20 days of the 90 days after he husband is released serving 30 of his 90-day sentence. Both will be under probation thereafter and are not allowed to profit from the “Balloon Boy Fiasco” for the next four years.
All choked up, Richard Heen apologized:
“I want to apologize to all the rescue workers out there and the people who got involved in the community.”

Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Off the Table??
Can you believe this? The Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight is off because of drug-testing issues? Apparently, Mayweather wants to use the Olympic-style drug-testing (the most stringent of all testing). Manny Pacquiao has refused because it will involve blood-drawing which Manny is superstitious about. He doesn’t agree with having blood drawn within 30 days before a fight because he is having difficulties with it.
Both sides were still working on a solution… I wonder what the outcome would be.

I knew this would happen. The first time I saw the video and when I blogged about it, I had no doubt that the video would go viral. I mean, who wouldn’t think of this kid as the cutest ever playing a ukulele and trying to avoid having to stop playing because his nose was itchy? Ha! It’s the cutest thing ever!
Well, now he’s been labeled as the “ukulele boy”… Congratulations. I’m sure some talk show host (Oprah or Ellen) will be inviting this kid on their show soon.
If I was big enough, and have my own talk show, I wouldn’t hesitate at all and invite this kid and have him play on Christmas Day… it will be a treat I’m sure. Heck, if I was Jason Mraz – - I’ll meet this kid. Come on Jason – - let’s do it!

There has been out outrage on Twitter today – most Blackberry users twitted the Blackberry outage today, which left people scratching their heads as to why their tweets from their BB or communication through their BBM wasn’t going through.
According to T-Mobile and Sprint BB users, calling T-Mobile only gave them a response that there has been a global outage and that there is no specific time given when it will be back up.

We all know it. There is no such thing as a private matter anymore. With quick access to information on the internet, you can find almost anything. What is so scary is how easy it is.
I’ve talked about online reputation before. I have a friend who passed his resume on to me so I could submit it to my HR department for consideration. While I was reading his resume, I noticed that he was using the same email address (personal) which is not totally professional. Let’s say, his email address was iloveguys@hotmail.com (it’s not it, but I thought I would use a glaring example). That was what was on his resume.

It’s official: The “Before He Cheats” crooner, 27, and her hockey star beau Mike Fisher, a center for the Ottawa Senators, are getting married. “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” Carrie’s rep said in a press release issued Monday. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
Carrie and Mike have been dating for close to a year. The athlete, 29, reportedly popped the question to the Nashville-based songbird in his native Canada on Sunday.
Cause of Britanny Murphy’s death – “Natural Causes”
The autopsy of Britanny Murphy‘s body revealed that the actress died of “natural causes” without any signs of foul play or trauma according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. Although the final autopsy report could take up to eight weeks, preliminary results seem to be that she died of a heart attack.
There will be further investigations including a look at the actress’ medical history.
Authorities have said the 32-year-old appeared to have died Sunday of natural causes, and there was no sign of foul play or trauma.
“Naturally occurring diseases could be found in any person that could lead to death,” said Capt. John Kades of the coroner’s office.
Her friends and colleagues flocked the social media Twitter to show their respect and mourning because of her loss.

Avatar takes number 1 spot at the box office
James Cameron did it again. The movie was quite expensive to make and many were wondering if James is going to repeat the magic that he’s always done (Titanic, Aliens, Terminator 2). But, his movie “Avatar” ruled the box office this weekend.
The 3-D sci-fi epic landed at number one with an estimated $73 million, according to Hollywood.com Box Office.

Actress Britanny Murphy, dead at 32
TMZ.com is reporting that Actress Britanny Murphy who starred in Clueless and 8 Mile, has died.
“Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ. She was 32. A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.” – Source

The story follows an out-of-place college kid who travels with a girl to Cancun on a break. While there, the girl and her friends are taken hostage by a drug cartel and he is forced to save them. Piolo Pascual dedicates his album to the important people in his life
Piolo Pascual returns to the music scene with his sixth studio album entitled Decades: The Greatest Songs of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ’70s. The CD contains Piolo’s versions of timeless hits from the past. During the press launch for his album, Piolo talked about what each song mean to him. As to which songs he was dedicating to rumored girlfriend and Lovers in Paris leading lady KC Concepcion, he replied, “Siguro ‘yung ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.’ Kasi noon pa name-mesmerize na ako sa kagandahan niya. She grew up before our very eyes. Isang malaking karangalan sa akin nung nakilala ko siya. Kumanta ako sa 18th birthday niya. It’s ZsaZsa Padilla’s third time to be a part of the Mano Po franchise and she made sure that her role would be different from her previous ones by volunteering to play the ultra scheming sister-in-law of Sharon Cuneta in the story. “The first time I played a kontrabida role was in Ang Babae sa Balete Drive in the ‘80s. Halimaw ako dun, so I can really say that this is really my first time do a villainess role. And since I don’t do this very often, I really had to tell the producers and Direk Joel Lamangan to make the role super bad, so that it will be worth this milestone,” she happily shared.

Many people are speculating that Luis Manzano is planning to enter politics, primarily because his parents Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano have been both involved in government for years now. But he emphasized that politics is still not on his agenda yet. “Maraming nagaakala na tatakbo ako pero hindi pa ako tatakbo for any position this coming May elections. Pero yes, I’m definitely open to politics kung feeling ko nandun na ang panawagan sa akin ng tao at kung tingin ko ‘yun ang magiging path ko sa buhay. PBB’s Princess Manzon says she and Tom Rodriguez are hesitant about commitment
Things have been different for ex-Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemates Princess Manzon and Tom Rodriguez (formerly Mott) in the outside world. The two first caught the public’s attention with their brewing romance inside the house. “Mahirap kasi I’m not sure how long I’ll stay here,” Princess admitted since she is considering a career abroad. “Same with him (Tom) meron na siyang offers. He’s going to stay here and be busy and he’s going to be paired with other actresses kasi hindi naman kami lumabas na love team talaga. We’re a love team inside the house but when he got out [it’s different] ‘di ba?” The Cebuana beauty also revealed that it looks like she and Tom will be built up separately in their showbiz careers, which could post a challenge if they pursue a relationship. “I don’t think I can handle that kind of relationship kasi parang I just want a simple relationship,” Princess admitted.
