A source close to Popeater’s Rob Shuter has divulged information that confirms Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon had broken up. You must all know that Jake is my first love … well my fifth love. Never really thought that he was a perfect match for Reese but I said, “Hey – what the heck. If they think they’re in love… then so be it.
It’s not so good to hear couples breaking up but sometimes it is for the better. You can only do so much and give so much effort in a relationship that is not bound to be anything but friendship. Jake and Reese reportedly are both devastated but that’s how you butter the bread.

Bernanke named Time’s Person of the Year for 2009
Everyone felt it. The globe felt it. The economic meltdown which started last year has been the main focus of every single person I know. My neighbor is still looking for a job after a little over a year of being unemployed. Other friends are still wary of being able to keep their jobs because cuts are still happening all over the corporate world.
While these are news that are still hanging, we could definitely say that the economy is “a little better” than it was a year ago. Who are we to look at to say that he stopped the economy from free-falling? Ben Bernanke.
Time editor Richard Stengel announced this morning on NBC’s Today that Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke is Time’s 2009 Person of the Year calling him a “real force” in the economy.
Yes, it’s still not over. With all the market fluctuations and consumer confidence still hanging on a very thin thread, there’s more work to be done. But I can agree – at least in the interim, Ben Bernanke is the perfect choice. What do you think?

When it rains – - – it pours! Given the fact that many women have come out to declare their affairs with Tiger Woods, how would you feel if you are his wife? Specially if you knew nothing about these until they started coming out. Would you be enraged? Would you understand.
I’m talking hypothetical here but if I was Elin Nordegren, I will probably be fine with one woman – - I could say, “We can work things out. What is it that made you cheat? Is it my nagging? Is it me? What can we do to fix it?”

30,000 Residents evacuated due to possible eruption of Mayon Volcano

The Philippine government has taken a quick and swift proactive approach to the threat that Mayon Volcano might errupt again. 30,000 residents have been evacuated and transported out of the critical area according to reports.
“There is the possibility that it can turn into the explosive phase of the eruption,” Solidum told The Associated Press. “Right now, we cannot say for sure, but the initial phases of 2000, 2001 and 2006 eruptions are almost the same.”
Mayon last erupted in 2006, when about 30,000 people were moved. Another eruption in 1993 killed 79 people.
“We have no more residents inside the danger zone. We are evacuating only those nearby,” he said. Defence Secretary Norberto Gonzales had ordered a tight watch to prevent farmers from entering the zone, Daep said. The evacuation area includes three cities and five municipalities.
The Philippines lies along the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” where volcanic activity and earthquakes are common. About 22 out of 37 volcanos in the archipelago are active.
Let us all hope that it doesn’t erupt or even if it does, that there will be no casualties and that the damages will be minimal… most specially with the approach of the holiday season.

Rihanna made headlines after a photo of her was leaked to media tabloids when she took a beating from Chris Brown. She came out of it, knew that she didn’t deserve a guy like Chris Brown and moved on.
Now, she will be on the cover of GQ for January 2010. Looking great and feeling confident, Rihanna has definitely learned self-respect. She was lucky to have gotten away from the fangs of violence.
She says during her interview:

‘Up in the Air’ leads Golden Globe nominations
I just watched Up in the Air over the weekend. It was a great film! I loved it but somehow ended up leaving the theater more depressed than when I originally was when I went in. Ha! Because the story, although very engaging ( I didn’t miss one bit!), somehow had an undertone that being alone is sad.
The acting I thought was superb. George Clooney did good in portraying his role and even worthy of a nomination. There were no highs or lows – I pretty much felt the same throughout the whole film – - engaged.
You have to see the film though. I think it is a must-see.

Remember the two unknown mistresses of Tiger Woods? They have been recently named. As you may have known, Tiger Woods have not come out in public since his accident during Thanksgiving week. Updates are provided only through his website.
The last update was his admittance of “infidelity” and that he is requesting privacy in order that he may be able to “try” to be come a better husband, father and person.
The most recent naming of these mistresses is not helping his image. Several endorsers have already dropped Tiger Woods such as Accenture and Gatorade dropping the Tiger Woods Focus brand drink. AT&T stated that they are re-evaluating their relationship with Woods.

Tila Tequila — a break from Tiger Woods

Well folks, you’ve heard of Tila Tequila? The walking tabloid? Haha! Yes, she had a reality show before – - known to all of us to be bisexual and all that hulabaloo. Well guess what? She just claimed four days ago that she is engaged to Casey Johnson and sported a rock she claims was given to her as an engagement ring.
But now, EOnline is saying that mutual girlfriend of both Tila and Case, Courtenay Semel is trying to prove that the engagement was a publicity stunt. Semel says that the rock is a fake and that Casey doesn’t have a penny to her name. Tila denies the publicity stunt and swears that she and Casey are going to get married in Massachusetts.
I don’t even know why I am writing about this. It’s all senseless material. I guess I’m just looking for other material than Tiger Woods. I’m getting bored with that story. Blah blah blah!
Pay it forward… someone did.
What would you do if you are eating at a restaurant and when you’re ready to pay the bill, the waiter says, “Don’t worry about it. Someone else paid for your meal. Merry Christmas!” Would you pay it forward?
It happened at a diner in Port Richmond. According to NBC Philadelphia, for five hours patrons paid for each other’s meal as a gesture of goodwill and thanksgiving. The mystery couple started it when they paid for someone else’s meal. The people who received the generosity, paid it forward and paid for someone else’s meal… it started a chain reaction that lasted a while.
To be honest, I haven’t been feeling the spirit of Christmas lately. I don’t even have my tree up yet. But this story just lifted up my spirit and I probably will put my tree up and decorate this weekend. It is really the people that matters and the things that they do that leaves an indelible mark within us.

My new phone – the new Nexus One Phone by Google
I am a Blackberry user. I love my Blackberry and even though I’m in the semi-tech field, I didn’t cross-over to the iPhone craze. But I think that there is only one thing that could make me switch from a Blackberry to another PDA… it’s the new Nexus One Phone by Google.
The device is currently being tried out by Google staff and one that is probably going to be a main competitor for the iPhone – - and guess what, it will be unlocked and will not be sold with a contract like other phones (iPhones are sold exclusively through AT&T). At least that is how it was pitched before.
Now, according to Infosync,
“FCC’s database today revealed that the HTC Nexus One, the smartphone Google Mobile currently uses for internal development of upcoming mobile features and capabilities, only sends and receives 3G data at 1700 MHz. In other words, the U.S. version of the HTC Nexus One is going to T-Mobile USA, and T-Mobile USA only.” It’ll join, or possibly replace, the myTouch 3G all-touch phone in the coming months.
I am with T-Mobile now… it looks like I’m going to be with T-Mobile indefinitely…. the anticipated release of the Google Phone or Nexus Phone that runs on Android is 2010… I can wait… I’m still fine with my Blackberry for now. It all depends if the technology changes… otherwise, I will probably move over to Blackberry Bold.
‘The Situation’ of Jersey Short and friends at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards Video

If you haven’t heard of the show by now, you might be hiding under a rock or something. Jersey Shore – Spike TV’s latest reality show has gotten more media blitz than any other reality show that was recently launched. Why? Because it has been filled with controversy right from the start. The most recent one was when Nikki was punched flat out from a situation that MTV is not going to air.
And if we’re talking about “The Situation” – - you might as well strap on your seatbelts because he did say on TMZ.com that “they are taking the reality show business by storm”. Rightfully so, because to prove that – - ‘Jersey Shore’ stars goes west to present the award for Best Shooter to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″.
You may think that it’s too soon for these new stars to be invited to such an event…

Someday, when I become as rich as …well… Tiger Woods – I may be able to afford a porsche. Maybe because of the speed, or maybe because of the status that comes with it. Something about the car gets me excited although I am not a car enthusiast by any means. When it’s time for me (or at least when I can afford it), I should be review my options and what options there are that are available to me.
An easy way to do that is going online. Just like any product with online reviews, it provides you an outlook on what you should expect or which is the best among the line of product you want. Would it be a Cayman? A 911 Carrera? You would want to hear from the people who have actually used the product. In this case, reviews from people who have driven the car should be basis right?
If you were to buy a porsche.. Wow would you go about it? Would online reviews be sufficient? Do online reviews help you? It has saved me from purchasing stuff before and I’m sure it will work the same way for me most specially for a purchase such as a car.
No sharing of Tiger Woods Nude Photos – Playgirl
Whether there are photos that exists or not, no one is going to see it. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Playgirl has declined to publish whatever offer they received to print the alleged nude photos. There is a lockdown on any images or videos that may exist.
Remember Erin Andrews? Although that was a different issue since she did not take the video herself and anyone who uploads the video can be charged with a crime.

The Princess and the Frog took the number one spot this weekend, earning $25 million in ticket sales. Sandra Bullock’s The Blind Side and New Moon are still up there…

Tiger Woods – no show at best friend’s wedding
The hope was that someone will spot Tiger Woods when he emerges from hibernation since Thanksgiving. The website, TMZ.com had it all planned out. Since Tiger hasn’t showed himself since the accident, TMZ even had planned catching a glimpse of him at his best friend’s (Tyron Bell) wedding in South Carolina. Besides, he was the best man.
But today, TMZ confirmed that Tiger was a no-show at the said wedding. The wedding event happened yesterday…. but no Tiger.
Tiger’s only main communication to the world is through his website. He did say during his last post that he is taking an indefinite leave from golf. I’m sure his friend understands that Tiger wants his privacy right now… and he probably didn’t want his wedding to turn out like a Jersey Shore episode with media all over the place.

Accenture Drops Tiger Woods as their spokesperson
Seriously, I thought I was going to be blogging about another topic today. Until…. there it goes again. Another endorsement loss. TMZ.com just reported that Accenture has dropped Tiger Woods as their spokesperson as he is “no longer the right representative” due to the “circumstances of the last two weeks.” How much does he stand to lose with all these advertisers dropping him? In millions and millions of dollars.

Woohoo! Can this guy get any sexier? The answer is… YES~! Did you see Taylor Lautner hosting SNL last night? Whew~!!! If you had seen the stunt he pulled as he opened the show, you would really say – - What can this guy not do?!
He opened the show with a display of his martial arts expertise (did you know that he studied martial arts very young?). He spoofed the “what I could have done when Kanye West took the microphone off of Taylor Swift‘s hand during the VMAs” displaying his excellent and graceful body flexibility…. oh man… you have got to watch it.
