The View is known for a lot of heated conversations and confrontation. Remember the Rosie O’ Donnell vs. Elizabeth Hassellcrack? Ha! But this time, it’s our calm and collected Whoopi Goldberg…
There was a discussion over Tiger Woods and the alleged affairs that he had/he’s having with these mistresses who are coming out of the woodwork. Apparently, during the discussion on “The View“, Babs Walters asked Whoopi Goldberg for her opinion. She extremely got upset and was asked by Babs to “just go home”.. and she walked off the set… but came back.. haha!

“Well,” Walters responded, “that’s true of every subject we discuss today. We might as well go home!”
“Alright,” Goldberg said, half joking. She got up from the table and started walking backstage.

Rachel Uchitel, the first woman on the list to be accused of having an affair with Tiger Woods was supposed to have a press conference this morning. But at the last minute, she canceled. Rumors abound about a possible payoff (Radaronline.com and TMZ.com) but no one has confirmed.
Now, it looks like someone has a source and they are talking. A rumored $1 million dollar payout to keep silent?? Whoah!

Well. They are probably talking legal stuff. Or not. According to TMZ.com – there was a scheduled news conference with Rachel Uchitel (the first alleged woman to whom Tiger had an affair with)… accompanied by Gloria Allred (** sometimes it makes me wonder why this Gloria appears whenever there’s a case like this but it doesn’t seem like she does anything other than appear with them…hmmm.. ) for today but was canceled. Why?

Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica overwhelmed by GMA-7′s support for their loveteam
Naghahanda na sina Kris Bernal at Aljur Abrenica para sa kanilang fantaserye na may working title na The Last Prince. Ito ang opening salvo ng GMA-7 sa primetime sa 2010.
Sa panayam sa dalawa, inamin nilang hindi talaga mawawala ang kaba sa kanila dahil sa malaking proyektong ibinigay sa kanila ng Kapuso network.
“Excited kami, pero at the same time kinakabahan,” sabi ni Kris. “Kasi ito ang opening ng 2010 kaya kailangan naming pagbutihin, kailangan naming paghusayan. Pero masaya kami kasi talagang suportado kami ng GMA. At masaya kami na si Direk Mac Alejandre ang humahawak sa amin dahil talagang binabantayan ang acting namin, kilos namin, mga damit namin, looks namin… Alagang-alaga talaga kami.”
Dagdag niya, “Masaya po ako. Pero at the same time, natatanong din namin sa sarili namin, 'Deserve na ba natin 'to? Kaya na ba natin 'to?' Yung GMA, sila ang nakakakita ng okay para sa amin. Sila ang nakakakita kung ano ang tama para sa amin. So, very happy ako na ibinigay nila sa amin 'to. And nakita namin kung paano nila kami inaalagaan. In return, gagawin din namin ang lahat para mag-rate yung show at mapaganda ang show.”
Kung may maipagmamalaki man daw si Kris, ito ay kung paano nila alagaan ni Aljur ang loveteam nila. Hindi raw mawawala na kinabahan sila after their launching movie, pero masaya raw siya na buo pa rin ang tiwala sa kanila ng GMA-7.
Ani Kris, “Ang tagal naming inalaagan ang loveteam at ang tagal naming pinaghirapan. So, parang dito mo makikita na may second chance pa rin. Na hindi dun matatapos ang lahat.”
So, ano ang mae-expect sa kanilang dalawa ni Aljur ngayon?
“Siguro ang masasabi ko, 'eto, ibang-iba talaga 'to sa lahat ng ginawa namin dahil fantasy nga siya,” sabi ni Kris. “At ang character ko rito, talagang mahirap na mahirap na first time ko rin gagawin. And ang aabangan nila rito, yung character ko na medyo naging sensual ako. Nagpapakita ako ng skin. Pati pananalita ko, binabago ko, lahat! So, abangan na lang nila ibang character ko na makikita nila sa akin.”
ALJUR IS EXCITED. Para naman kay Aljur, mas matimbang daw ang excitement sa kanya dahil nakikita niya kung gaano kabongga ang production na ginagawa sa bago nilang series.
“Very happy and, so far, sa StarStruck na batch, kami pa lang ni Kris ang magkakaroon ng primetime na sariling pagsisikatin namin. So, kakaiba. At kakaiba rin po ito sa mga previous soap na ginawa namin kasi fantasy siya. At first time naming gagawin 'to.”
Dahil ang primetime series nila ang unang pasabog ng GMA-7 sa 2010, naramdaman ba nila lalo ang tiwala sa kanila ng network?
“Siyempre po,” pagsang-ayon ni Aljur. “At mas grabe pa po ang kaba ngayon kasi po kami ang magbubukas ng taon. Sobra-sobra. Hindi ko alam kung magkano ang nagastos nila. Pero sa nakikita ko, ipinagawa nila ang palasyo. Yung mga bigating artista… Talagang pinagkagastusan po ng GMA at malaking pera ang inilabas dito. So very pressured kami. At the same time, excited kami sa kakalabasan nito because alam po namin ni Kris, we're making a good show.”
Sila na rin ni Kris ang nagsasabi noon na ang launching movie nila could make or break them. Pero naapektuhan nang husto ang launching movie nilang Nandito Ako… Nagmamahal Sa 'Yo dahil sa bagyong Ondoy kaya hindi ito naging matagumpay sa takilya.
Nagkaroon ba sila ng kaba na baka matagalan bago sila mabigyan muli ng follow-up TV series na sila ang bida?
“Actually, hindi po ako natakot,” sagot ni Aljur. “Kasi sa nakapanood naman po ng movie namin, marami po ang nagsabi na maganda. Kami ni Kris, kahit ganoon ang nangyari, ibinigay namin ang lahat ng makakaya namin—pagod, hirap, sacrifice na hindi namin makita ang family namin. Nag-stay kami sa Bohol for two weeks. At saka nasabay siya ng kalamidad, so naiintindihan naman ng lahat yun.”
Dito sa Last Prince, isang prinsipe ang role ni Aljur. Sexy prince ba siya rito?
Natawa muna siya bago sumagot. Aniya, “Hindi naman sexy-sexy, pero typical na prinsipe na nakikita natin at yun po ang makikita nila.”

Tim Yap sets aside businesses to focus on hosting career
Tim Yap is known as an “eventologist” for always being present in most of the parties and events around the metro, but what ordinary people don’t know is that he is also a businessman.
Aside from his controversial Embassy Cuisine and Superclub, which was renamed as Encore recently, at The Fort in Taguig City, Tim also owns the Manor club in Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon city. Outside Manila he has the newly built Mansion club in Angeles, Pampanga and a hotel in Boracay called The Tides.
The TV personality admitted that at first he was very hands on with his business. This time, however, Tim may have to leave it to his manager to focus on his hosting career. You just can’t tell what people will do if you get put on a spotlight. We all know that Tiger Woods is the talk of the tabloids and the news these days. Poor guy. His private life is being exposed every minute before our very eyes.
I am not an advocate of infidelity or extra-marital affairs. However, I can’t condemn it either. Listening to the voicemail allegedly left by Tiger to alleged mistress, Jamie Grubbs made me wonder but I still don’t condemn the guy. No, I am not using the reason of “we’re all human, and we all make mistakes”. I am just saying that we are all bound to make mistakes – if not now, sometime in the future. The saying, “Never say never.” comes to mind.

How about $100 Million dollars a year from advertisers because you are “the man”? Then, they find out that you have a scandal going on. How would you react?
According to MSNBC.com, Tiger Woods’ sponsors reacted positively after he apologized for his “transgressions“. That’s a hefty forgiveness tag and I don’t blame them. They should give Tiger the benefit of the doubt and if he did in fact have affairs going on and have apologized and vowed not to continue, he should be given a fair second chance don’t you think?
I am one who will not judge because everyone of us makes mistakes. If you think you haven’t, then cast the first stone. It may not be an affair, but it could be something else that is deemed immoral by others. If I was a partner with Tiger – I will still continue to foster that partnership – - that is until, he breaks his promise.

Kalika Moquin is the latest woman to be linked to Tiger Woods.
Whoah! Years of silence and then one car accident brings it all out in the open??
“They’ve been friends for three years,” a source tells E! News of their relationship. “I think he was attracted to her small-town charm.”
Moquin hails from Missoula, Mont., and works at the Bank nightclub in Las Vegas, where Tiger was sometimes a patron.
Although they’ve known each other for years, another source says they’ve “only hooked up a handful of times.”

Danton Remoto, chairman of gay group Ang Ladlad, is eyeing the senatorial post as he filed his certificate of candidacy Tuesday.
Ang Ladlad is an organization of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders (LGBT).
Remoto is running as an independent candidate but said he is open to alliances.

I just wanted to say my peace regarding the coming out of Meredith Baxter (Family Ties – 80s sitcom matriarch as Elyse Keaton). I am sincerely elated that there is someone whom I have adored as a child watching Family Ties through its seven seasons – who is gay! If you haven’t seen any of the reruns, she is absolutely funny and I love her to death.
She had an interview with Matt Lauer earlier this morning and boy, I was more nervous that she was when she was about to reveal that she’s a lesbian.

Christians outraged about PETA Ad showing Nude Joana Krupa with a crucifix
PETA is being criticized for using Christian symbols in their ad calling the ad “inappropriate” when it showed Playboy model and Dancing with the Stars regular, Joanna Krupa donning a topless and bottomless photo holding a crucifix to promote animal adoption.
PETA has been known to create controversial ads in order to foster awareness about inhumane treatment of animals.

White House Party Crashers interviewed by Matt Lauer on Today
I have been following this story since it came out. Tareq and Michaela Salahi were labeled as “White House Party Gate Crashers” the morning after a State Dinner at the White House was held honoring the Prime Minister of India. It has been reported that the couple attended the White House State dinner without the proper invitation and it has been said as well that confirmation from the White House stated that the couple weren’t invited.
For someone to be able to get past all the security to attend such a high-security dinner is beyond me. The couple has since mentioned that they were invited and that they have proof to present when the right time comes. They said that they have been working fully with the secret service in order to straighten this mess out and vows that they will be exonerated when the proof is presented.
In the meantime, the Salahi’s appeared on NBC Today show with Matt Lauer and granted an interview. Here’s the video:
