Mancrunch’s Gay Dating Site Commercial rejected by CBS
According to CNN, the gay dating site’s (Mancrunch.com) ad submission for the Super Bowl was rejected by CBS – the Super Bowl network.
“After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot,” said CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs. “We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions.”
There’s a debate whether it is discrimination or was it purely a financial decision (CBS claims they couldn’t verify Mancrunch’s credit). Ads for the Super Bowl can run up to $3 Million for a 30-second ad. Mancrunch recently raised $40 Million from investors..but hmmm, I don’t understand why they would target the Super Bowl audience anyway.. just saying…

Bruce Weber is the famous photographer of A&F Catalogs (that’s why the catalogs were so successful), Bear Pond, America, and the most famous Chop Suey Club where he followed a wrestler named Peter Johnson for four years – photographing him in all sorts of activities (mostly naked and homoerotic). These books have become a collector’s item (I own the Chop Suey Club) and sells for hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
Well, he’s put out a new photoshoot of Juan and Carlos Hortoneda for L’Uomo Vogue (Jan. 2010 Issue), the Madrid Twins and it’s creating quite a stir. “I Want You!” Relief for Haiti ‘We Are the World’ Style
In today’s news on CNN, there are confirmed reports that Quincy Jones is pulling together A-list singers to re-create what was done back in 1985 when famine struck the country of Ethiopia. This time, ‘We Are the World’ gets a 2010 update for Haiti. As you’ve seen on your television screens, the devastation suffered in Haiti due to the 7.0 magnitude earthquake is massive.
So far, Jones has Wyclef Jean, Rickey Minor, Justin Bieber, Jason Mraz and Lionel Richie on deck for the millennial remix, not to mention Sugarland, Anthony Hamilton and Julianne Hough. The recording session will take place on Monday, February 1, in the exact same A&M Records recording studio as the “We Are the World” recording did in 1985. All proceeds for the album will go towards Haiti’s relief efforts.
Richie co-wrote the original record with Michael Jackson for African famine relief, and the single was a massive success. MJ and Richie were joined by Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder, among a host of others.
Jones hasn’t released the complete list of performers yet, but more information should come after Monday’s studio session. One person who will not be there, however, is Taylor Swift.
There were Internet rumors circulating Thursday that Swift and Kanye West would be able to join hands and sing together for a charitable cause, but Swift’s representative said that wasn’t true.
“It will be a wonderful event, but Taylor is flying out to Australia the same night as the Grammys, right after the show, to start her tour,” her representative told CNN.

I love Anderson Cooper. I watch his CNN’s AC360 podcast everyday and man, I am telling you… this guy is so sexy even when he’s in a suit. But whenever he’s out and about – only wearing a black t-shirt and jeans (like the most recent one when he was in Haiti reporting about the earthquake crisis there) he’s sexier. He’s most sexiest moment is when the film crew shot a riot emerging from the looting that was happening in Haiti and he grabbed a boy with blood on his head and took him away from the rioting crowd to make sure the boy was safe. Ahhhh.. one can only dream of a guy like him.

Obama: Madame Speaker, Vice President Biden, members of Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow Americans:
Our Constitution declares that from time to time, the president shall give to Congress information about the state of our union. For 220 years, our leaders have fulfilled this duty. They have done so during periods of prosperity and tranquility. And they have done so in the midst of war and depression; at moments of great strife and great struggle.
It’s tempting to look back on these moments and assume that our progress was inevitable — that America was always destined to succeed. But when the Union was turned back at Bull Run and the Allies first landed at Omaha Beach, victory was very much in doubt. When the market crashed on Black Tuesday and civil rights marchers were beaten on Bloody Sunday, the future was anything but certain. These were times that tested the courage of our convictions, and the strength of our union. And despite all our divisions and disagreements; our hesitations and our fears; America prevailed because we chose to move forward as one nation, as one people.
“I need someone to inspire me.” That’s what he said.
I am constantly amazed about how life has been good to me. Having given me great friends who surround me and make me laugh all the time seems like an unusual thing to happen to one person but that’s exactly what I have.
There have been many people in my life – people who have inspired me, hurt me, judged me, loved me, ignored me, hated me or simply adored me. They could be anyone from being a neighbor, a lover, a friend, an uncle, an aunt, my sister, my brother, a penpal, a blogger friend or whoever they are. They are a part of me now.
Once, a wise gentleman told me, “When you meet someone – even if only for a brief moment - that person becomes a part of your life forever.” And he was absolutely correct.
I was chatting online with one friend whom I recently met online. We haven’t even met in person but we’ve chatted several times. The weirdest thing about it is that I feel so at home with him. And so does he with me. He tells me everything about his life and it doesn’t even faze him that I am a stranger (technically) to him and that at any given moment, I could make a huge splash on this blog by disclosing tons and tons of his secrets. He trusted me without any hesitation and somehow, that made me feel so at ease with him. I feel like I trust him too! He’s currently a working student and I’m trying to tell him how important it is to finish his studies.
Tonight, we were chatting and he said to me –

BF: Remember when I told you that I am only motivated when I have an inspiration in life?
CC: Yes.
BF: I am actually losing interest in school these days because I don’t have anyone who inspires me.

CC: Why not? The VCD cover should list who the producers are and you can contact them to see if they could tell you who the model is?

Second pregnant man Scott Moore due to give birth to baby boy next month
Remember the Thomas Beatie, the world’s first pregnant man? Well, now there’s a second one named Scott Moore who is to give birth to a baby boy next month. According to Mail Online, Scott started out as a female named Jessica. She approached her parents at 11-years old saying that he wanted to be a man.
Her parents thought she was crazy then but as time went on, they believed her and was allowed to take male hormone pills at 16 years-old.
Her chest was removed, but her female organs are still intact since he cannot afford the surgery.
He met Thomas (used to be Laura) who has had a total hysterectomy and gender reassignment last year in 2005 at a support group for transgender men. After two months, they started living together.
Scott was inseminated with the sperm of a male friend and fell pregnant in June 2009.
‘We were so happy we did what all gay men do when they get excited – we went shopping,’ Thomas said.

Apple launched the highly-anticipated unveiling of their latest product – the iPad. It’s like an iTouch on steroids! The iPad goes on sale in the U.S. in March or April 2010 for prices ranging from $499 to $829 US. According to Steve Jobs, the iPad may become available to other countries other than the US by June or July 2010.
Many have speculated and when leaks of a possible Apple tablet product to be released in the market, the buzz started going. The buzz continued and it created positive marketing towards Apple’s new product which could handle 1400 applications (will handle all of current iPhone applications) and additional applications designed for the iPad.
Now the question is, will it kill the Amazon Kindle? Probably so. With the launch of iBooks, iBook readers may now be able to download digital books . A keyboard appears right on the tablet and may be used for convenience or you may purchase a detachable keyboard that is sold separately.
Twitter and Facebook were bombarded with comments today minutes after the unveiling. Some like it and some do not. What do you think?

I am responding to our fourth letter-sender, “Soon-to-be Fairy Tale Villain” who sent us a letter asking for our readers’ help in sorting out her issue. Medyo borderline mistress and infidelity ang topic naten. It seems to be the hot item for the year. Look at Tiger Woods, Kris Aquino, John Edwards, Manny Pacquiao. These celebrities and politicians are headline news these days. At baket? Because of one thing and one thing only. It all relates to infidelity.

Isang babae si Fairy Tale Villain. From reading her letter, mukhang may bahid ng ka-byaningan ang dugo ng letter-sender naten dahil sabi niya ay nagkaroon na daw siya ng “girlfriend” before. Suriin natin ang sulat niya.
Clue number one:
i guess every girl wants to be the princess in their own fairy tale, but what if you’re thrown in a situation wherein you find yourself to be the wicked step mother or the evil step sister – sort of the villain you love to hate in every fairy tale story you have read?
Okay. She gave me a hint that she’s a girl.
Clue number two:
galing ako sa isang relationship with a girl at nun naghiwalay kami eh naging malungkot ako…
Bingo na tayo. Byaning siya! Hmmm…
Anyway, she is asking for advice dahil nakakilala ulit siya ng bagong gurl. And they enjoy spending time together, holding hands, chorva-chorva (press release: wala pa raw nangyayari… asus!) Now that they have known each other for a while, Soon-to-be is falling in love with her new friend.
So what, di ba? Why can’t she fall in love. Everyone is entitled to loving another. Same sex, opposite sex, sex toy, or middle sex… it’s all the same. We can fall in love. Her problem is…. the girl she’s falling in love with is already attached. Attached = may ka-relasyon na. Attached = hands off. Attached = she’s already taken. Gets?
How did I know that? Because she said:

She wants to pursue whatever she’s feeling because of these reasons:

Okay, so we know three things.

The part that is missing is: Nasaan ang jowawitz ng gurl? Does she know the girl’s girlfriend? Where is the girlfriend when they are hanging out together? Is she with them? May kulang pero sasagutin ko na rin.

Dear “Soon-to-be Fairy Tale Villain”,
I understand exactly where you are coming from. I have been there, done that. There could be many factors why you are falling in love and I don’t know all the details but these are possible scenarios.
Maybe you are looking for a rebound. Someone to attach yourself you dahil naghiwalay kayo ng ex-girlfriend mo.
Or, maybe you are simply lonely. Nalulungkot, naghahanap ng kausap, kasama or even just someone to talk to.
In any case, here’s my advice. Masanay ka na dahil seryoso ‘to.
I have always given this advice to people because I think it’s the best way to tell them not to go forward with something that they know is wrong. Believe me, I don’t judge. That’s not my job. My job here is to tell you that with every action that we do in our lives, there is a reaction. You can call it karma, you can call it universe, you can even call in God. That is up to you. But it is all the same.
Read the Bible, the Koran, Buddha-Darma… you will see the same message.
Christianity : “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” Matthew 7:12
Buddhism: “Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.” Udana-Varga 5:18
Confucianism: “Try your best to treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself, and you will find that this is the shortest way to benevolence.” Mencius VII.A.4
Yoruba (Nigeria): “One going to take a pointed stick to pinch a baby bird should first try it on himself to feel how it hurts.”

You get the point. Iisa lang ang rule ng universe. Huwag nating gawin sa kapwa natin ang ayaw nating gawin sa atin. And believe me when I tell you this, if your “action is good” – the “reaction is better”. And if your “action is bad” – the “reaction is worse”.
I am not going into the details to tell you na kapag ginawa mo ‘to, kung ano anong mga sakuna ang mangyayari. Again, that’s not my job. My job here is to help you decide kung ano ang gagawin mo. The rules of the world provided above gives you as to what the universe, God, or karma expects you to do. And when you don’t follow, the reaction will teach you the lesson.
Why do I believe that? Because I have been through it. Mas mahirap matutunan ang leksiyon kapag hindi mo pa nararamdaman kung papaano paluin ng tadhana. Naranasan ko na ang karma. Sabi nga ng kaibigan kong si Chuvaness, ang tawag ng iba diyan “USOG!” Hahaha! Pinagdaanan ko na ang hagupitin ako ng leksiyon. And that is what I’m trying to avoid for your sake.
Like I’ve said to many people. What we do unto others swings like a pendulum…. it swings out, but it always (and definitely) swings back. Fairy Tale Villain, that means if you throw love, you will get love… and if you throw something else, you will get something else. Think about it.

There have been reports that there was an argument between Nancy’s older brother and her father and that there was an alleged struggle.

‘Avatar’ takes over ‘Titanic’ as Biggest Grossing Movie Ever
I guess we kinda knew that Avatar is going to take over Titanic’s record as the Top-Grossing film of ALL TIME. We just didn’t want to believe it. James Cameron film, takes over another James Cameron film. Wasn’t that much of a headline maker … or is it?
Avatar has grossed over $1.841 billion (Titanic’s record was $1.843). For the sixth straight week, Avatar was number 1 again over the weekend bringing their total domestic sales $552.8 million. So, if you have ever counted a million dollars in your lifetime, that’s a lot of millions.
The movie takes in $2 million on most weekdays according to reports.. and that is in the US alone. So, guess what… I’m sure it will surpass Titanic any moment now.

Whoah whoah whoah! Stop the music! Are you serious? I read the Kellan Lutz didn’t get the part of Conan The Barbarian, the Schwarzenegger film remake that is set to start filming in Bulgaria on March 15th.
And yes, it was Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis and Game of Thrones) who got the nod from the execs. I wonder why? Could it be that he’s already bulked up enough? But Kellan promised he was willing to “bulk up 30 lbs for Conan!”

Dueling Piano bar happy hour! Finally!
My co-workers and I usually go out for happy hour and it has been a while now. Last year, as you all know, budgets were tight. Everyone was tightening their pockets because of the credit crisis and all the issues that came with that. Heck, we weren’t even sure if we would have a job this year let alone go out for happy hour.
Now that the economy seems to be getting better, we’ve organized a happy hour next month. It’s a dueling piano bar in Center City, Philadelphia. I have been to one of those places when I lived in Baltimore. I think it was called Little Ditty’s and we had so much fun. Just singing-along with the usual songs like Joy to The World by Three Dog Night…. The Piano Man by Billy Joel.. many songs familiar to anyone.
I am so looking forward to the happy hour but I love playing the piano too! I used to entertain at home playing the piano while everybody sings along. I want to learn how to play the accompaniment piece without playing the melody. It just seems more fun that way and that’s how these guys entertain us at the dueling piano bar. They never play the melody but it sounds great when the people start to sing along.
There is an available course on how to play accompaniment piano that teaches you the basics by playing the usual easy songs we’ve all grown to love. Songs like Auld Lang Syne, My Wild Irish Rose and so forth. It’s easy learning and the course is provided by an experience pianist who has mastered the art of piano accompaniment. If you go out and search for piano lessons, you may end up paying a crazy amount because piano lessons don’t come cheap these days. How about getting three hours worth of lessons with step-by-step tips on how to use accompaniment techniques? You also get a free handbook with three DVDs (60 minutes of lessons for each DVD) you’re going to get to make you a better player simply by watching and learning as you go. You can pause, stop, rewind at your own convenience until you learn all the techniques specified in the course. I think it’s a great way to learn. Economic Policy Open Forum – Noynoy Aquino (VIDEOS)
Now that the election is near, we need to pick out what platforms and agendas do the candidates possess. I cannot be political as that is really not my forte, I would just like to point out that I haven’t heard Noynoy Aquino speak about any issues until I saw these videos. He has always been silent and you hear Kris Aquino speaking out more about her brother than her brother himself.
