According to CNN, the gay dating site’s (Mancrunch.com) ad submission for the Super Bowl was rejected by CBS – the Super Bowl network.
“After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot,” said CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs. “We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions.”
There’s a debate whether it is discrimination or was it purely a financial decision (CBS claims they couldn’t verify Mancrunch’s credit). Ads for the Super Bowl can run up to $3 Million for a 30-second ad. Mancrunch recently raised $40 Million from investors..but hmmm, I don’t understand why they would target the Super Bowl audience anyway.. just saying…
