AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings Jan. 15-18: Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo debuts at No. 2 behind 24 Oras
ABS-CBN’s newest primetime drama series Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo premiered last night, January 18, with a very impressive 34.4 percent to land in second place behind GMA-7′s 24 Oras, which posted a rating of 35.7 percent.
Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo boasts a powerhouse cast: Kris Aquino, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Coco Martin, Gabby Concepcion, Albert Martienz, Gina Pareño, Jaclyn Jose, and Maricar Reyes.
This new Kapamilya soap went up against GMA-7′s The Last Prince, starring Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal—considered closest rival of the Kimerald tandem. The Kapuso fantaserye managed to hold its own by posting a respectable 31.7 percent to grab fourth spot, behind Darna‘s 32.9 percent.
Completing the Top 5 was ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother Double Up, which generated a 31.1 percent rating.

You may (or may not) remember the film where we first came to know Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was back in 1982, and it is a story about a mythical Hyborian age. Then, an unknown body builder became famous for the role as Conan: The Barbarian.
The film was directed by John Milius which was taken from stories by Robert E. Howard.
Well, Just Jared just reported that there are supposedly three hunks vying for the role as Conan. He reports Twilight’s Kellan Lutz, Stargate’s Jason Momoa, and now – Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki are in the running for the role.

Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez last sung in a concert together at the Araneta Coliseum in 2009. Once again they will sing of love in a concert called One Amore Time to be held at the SMX Convention Center this coming Valentine’s Day.
What’s different about this concert from last year’s is that “this one is playing with a whole concept of a soap opera which really is our life story,” Martin revealed on Startalk yesterday, January 16. “So the music will be a little bit more Latino-inspired.”
Kris Aquino admits trial separation with husband James Yap
Why does some relationships work and not others? I was just speaking to a friend of mine today about that. I admire the people whose marriages have lasted for years and they still continue to show their love and affection for each other. Like these two people at work. They both work for my company and they are probably in their 60s. Every time at lunch time, they will go out and take their lunch hour together. Once they step out of the building, they will hold hands and walk hand-in-hand as if they’re in love for the first time. Yet, other relationships, as much as they try – can’t seem to work itself out.
I’m not saying that Kris Aquino should totally get her marriage to James Yap annulled. But she does have to put lines around her territory and if it will take a trial separation for her to do it, so be it. And I’m glad that she actually mentioned that this will be the first and last time she’s going to mention anything about their marital issues and I hope she means it. Most specially now that Noynoy is running for the highest position in the country.

I have admired Channing Tatum ever since I first laid eyes on him. He’s one hot dude you know. I’ve seen him on the covers of magazines and male underwear ads. He will soon be listed as one of the hunks who grace our Chuvahotness series.
After seeing the trailer for “Dear John“, I was amazed. I didn’t realize that he could act so convincingly. Watch the video and wait until position 1:40 secs and you can almost feel his voice and how much he’s hurting.

I’m not really up on the issues and laws in Las Vegas, Nevada to even comment on the legality of being a female prostitute in the state. However, I did read that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas but only for women.
Just recently, it has been approved for males to apply for the same position. And the very first guy hired for the job as “America’s First Legal Male Prostitute” is “Markus”. I’m sure that he will be a famous man by the time the news is over. He gave an interview to Details Magazine.

We may see a glimpse of Tiger Woods soon. Plans to help Haiti Quake victims.
According to ETOnline, Tiger Woods is planning to help earthquake victims in Haiti. As you’ve seen flashes from your TV screens, Haiti suffered a major 7.0 magnitude earthquake where the death toll is expected to be in the hundreds of thousands. Although it is unclear whether Tiger will personally assist, his staff has acknowledged that there are plans to help the victims.
The country is in desperate need of assistance and should you feel the need to assist, or help in anyway – you may donate through the American Red Cross.
Tiger Woods Foundation president Greg McLaughlin tells the AP that Woods’ staff is looking into what the best way to help victims would be, but acknowledges that helping the youth would be in line with Woods’ prior efforts to help victims of Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 tsunami.

Golden Girls’ Rue Mclanahan suffered a stroke.

This story is a bit ironic. I was off Christmas week and I had really not planned on anything to do besides sit at home and relax. I bought the DVD set for “Golden Girls” and wanted to have a laugh during that time so I started watching Season 1.
Watching the DVDs reminded me that Rue Mclanahan was my favorite TV Tramp. She’s really just funny and portrayed her role really well! The whole cast of Golden Girls were amazing and that was why the show was such a hit. I could watch Golden Girls any night of the week and still laugh my ass off. From Rose, to Dorothy, to Sofia and of course Blanche – great team-up.
I heard read some devastating news about Rue when ET Online reported that she suffered a minor stroke and is currently in the hospital. I was glad to hear that she is doing well. According to ETOnline.com,
“She’s doing amazingly well,” her rep tells ET. “She’s walking and talking and entertaining the staff with her feisty personality. She’s rehabbing and is expected home in about two weeks.”
I don’t want to fear the worse and I wish her well. She’s a tough cookie and I know she will pull through this.

Our Chuvahotness# 10, Cristiano Ronaldo is now representing Armani. Underwear, jeans – etc. I was a bit disappointed with the shots though because it didn’t look very manly. Remember the David Beckham shots? Those Giorgio Armani shots were hot. I mean, Cristiano’s body is still amazing but I think that a little too much on the eyebrow trimming and whatever else went on in the photo shoot.
His body will always be hot but I am not sure I would be thinking “HOT” when I’m looking at these pictures..

With his hectic schedule, Coco said that he doesn’t even have time to go on dates. “Marami na akong napagdaanan tungkol sa love life. Nandiyan lang ‘yan. Maraming pwedeng makilala at ligawan.
