Taylor Lautner gives new meaning to “Boy Toy”

You’ve heard about our most famous werewolf, 17-year old Taylor Lautner being tapped for the role of Max Steel right? Max Steel is a 19-year old sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after a weird accident infects his body, providing him with super powers.
Now, it was recently announced that he is also going to play Stretch Armstrong after being tapped by Universal Studios for the scheduled 3D release of the film in 2012.
Universal Pictures has tapped Taylor Lautner to star as Stretch Armstrong in a major film franchise based on the Hasbro toy, according to reports.
Scheduled for a 2012 release, the 3D franchise will feature an Armstrong with superhero powers. Are real boy – - playing a toy. “BOYTOY!”
Stretch Armstrong is based on the action figure popular around the world dating back to the 1970s and re-launched in the 1990s. Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, 8 Mile, American Gangster) will team with Hasbro to produce. Steve Oedekerk (Bruce Almighty) has written the screenplay, and Hasbro’s Goldner and Schneir also produce.
“He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power,” says Donna Langley, studio co-chair.
