I have waited for weeks for the release of Dear John. Channing Tatum is going to be my date for this weekend. A big snow storm is to hit the east coast once again this weekend. In case you haven’t heard, the area is supposed to be covered white from Washington DC to New England.
Well, I have stocked up my pantry with lots of comfort food and I’ll be stopping by Blockbuster Video tomorrow to get sappy DVDs when I get snowed in over the weekend.
Guess what? Channing Tatum and I will be together so, who cares? Dear John opens this Friday, February 5.

‘We Are The World’ for Haiti – All-Star Recording
It’s done! The We Are The World ensemble for the Haiti earthquake victims looks like they gave it their all. From Babs Streisand to Kanye West , Celine Dion to Natalie Cole – - no one could ask for a better group to do the remake of We Are The World original with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and other a-list singers.
It was just announced recently by genius Quincy Jones that he planned to do a remake of the 1985 hit song that helped that famine in Africa to do the same thing as it did then but this time for the quake victimes in Haiti. It is said to premiere “during the coverage of the Winter Olympics on NBC.”
Chuva wishes it to become as, if not more successful that the original one. Haiti needs our help and this type of gesture humbles me. More power to the stars!

The buffed and beautiful Kellan Lutz has now replaced the image of Marky Mark’s Calvin Klein ad campaign back in the 80s. He’s the new face of Calvin Klein as they promote their multi-media ad campaign for the X Underwear Collection that will begin on March 1st. He’s buffed and looking great in that white underwear.

Yeah! I was wondering about that as well. When I first saw my niece’s profile pic appear with her boobs hanging out, I had to take a second look. It was Jessica Alba instead of my niece! Hmmm… and it said on her status, “change your profile pic to a celebrity who resembles you”. Double hmmmmm…. WHY?
Well, I found out today that it is the annual Celebrity Doppelgänger Week on Facebook!
How does it work? Well, apparently it went viral last year as well. There is an application created by MyHeritage.com – an actual face-recognition tool that will search their database of thousands of celebrity faces that share the same features as your face. It will present you with options on which celebrity you resemble.. It has become viral again…

This was a funny event. Do you remember the girl (Megan Phelps) from Westboro Baptist Church who had a sign that said “God Hates Lady Gaga”? Ha! She’s one of the people who holds those “God hates fags!” signs. These people know how to spread hate. Well, here’s another funny.
Westboro Baptist Church protesters showed up at San Francisco’s Twitter location to protest and put up signs like “God hates Twitter” and so forth. Well, to their surprise, they were outnumbered by pranksters who showed up with non-sensical signs and even hilarious ones that got me ROTFL!

Naknangpatingnamaybelo! Woohoo! This is very good for my ego. I finally earned some bragging rights in blogging.. haha! The last time I checked the-then-published, Best of Philippine Blogs of 2009 was during the second quarter when PinoyMoneyTalk.com published back in August of 2009.
Chuva Chienes was extremely proud because we made it to the TOP 50, using the rankings based on Alexa Ratings. We not only stayed at the TOP 50, we jumped % points and ended up as Number 18! Woohoo!!
