How costly can divorce cost? After 7-years of marriage – Dawson’s Creek Actor James Van Der Beek and Heather McComb have finalized their divorce. It will cost the actor $7,750 per month for two and-a-half years (amounts to $232,500). Not a bad paycheck ay?
I would take James Van Der Beek any time and he doesn’t even have to pay me! Hahaha!

US Weekly Magazine published a photo of Jesse James in the sieg heil salute, the same gesture as Nazi’s did during Hitler’s reign. Speculations arose that Jesse James is a white supremacist but defenders say that he is simply a history buff.

I know a friend who owns Nazi paraphernalia, from hats to a swastika band – even up to a full soldier regalia but he’s not a white supremacist. He really is just fascinated by anything that had to do with the Nazis and its history. It’s actually a good conversational piece every time we are at his home.

Surprisingly, Sidd Finch had never even played the game before. Both blogs cannot be accessed at this time probably because of the influx of fans trying to find out what he has to say. He say’s “I’m a Fortunate Homosexual Man.”

And the heat is on. Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas lead Chuva’s polls.
I created a poll on the sidebar to get my readers’ opinion on the upcoming election and see who they see fit to lead our country in May 2010. The results had shown Noynoy Aquino for President on the lead initially with only 42% and Mar Roxas for Vice President initially showed a big lead with 50%.
Looking at the results now, with only a little over a month to go before Filipino citizens head out to the polls and vote, Noynoy Aquino has now reached 51% which is an increase of 9% from about a month ago. And Mar Roxas is now at 56% gaining a 6% increase from the same time frame.
Could our polls be telling us something? Are we predicting that Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas to be the new leaders of our country come election time? Maybe yes and maybe not. Sen. Kiko Pangilinan confirmed that the polls are definitely showing what the country wants through his blog, The Indie.
Social Sentry – Keeping a Closer Eye on Employees’ Social Networking – Will it include blogs in the future?
I have always been careful with my comments and postings on Social Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Although I did have a Friendster and MySpace accounts and both are quite inactive so I don’t really worry about them. However, as these sites become more popular, employers are getting concerned about how much their employees spend company time interacting with friends and colleagues through them.
I read on the Metro today while on my way to work that Social Sentry has entered the picture to allowing employers monitor their employees’ activity online which includes Facebook and Twitter for a fee. They are planning to add Youtube, MySpace and even Linkdin (the professional networking site) in the future.
NYTimes.com had an article two days ago speaking of the new service which could charge employers $2.00 to $8.00 per employee to automatically track their employee activity via these networking sites. I had a concern about that before when I asked my readers how their online reputations are. Putting yourself out there for the world to see may be a good thing if you want to be as famous as Lady Gaga. Entertainment business? Sure. Otherwise, if you have a career other than a radio or TV host, an actor or an actress, a fashion designer or an eBay Powerseller who owns your business and don’t report to anyone – fine. Do whatever you like online. You’re public property.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC
Living in Maryland, way back in the day – I used to go to the Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival. It’s a grand event and if you haven’t been, I would definitely encourage you to do so.
The scenery in and around the Potomac River is beyond beautiful and you will experience the spirit of Spring like no other. Everything has come back to life and celebrating it in Washington D.C. couldn’t be any better.

If you loved “The Notebook“, you better get ready for this new film by Nicholas Sparks entitled, “The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus and the new hunk that is probably going to give Taylor Lautner a run for his hunkiness – Liam Hensworth.
You must have gone through a box of Kleenex while watching “The Notebook” and I’m sure, with Nicholas’ style you better be prepared for this one as well. And man – - couldn’t you just take off your eyes on this Australian hunk? I’m sure after this film, his name will be all over and will become a household name in no time at all.

Ignoring the plea of Filiipino-Australian Actress-VJ, Anne Curtis to stop uploading the video and photo of her most recent swimsuit malfunction where her right breast was exposed during a performance for ASAP XV in Boracay, people who were present at the event who had cell phones and took photos and videos of the number have continued to share the videos and photos in social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
The video taken which was uploaded on Youtube is a little choppy but still managed show how it all happened. It is unfortunate for the actress since the topic has had blog traffic exceed normal capacities due to the search for the video and the photo that most bloggers posted the photo in order to gain the much-coveted blog traffic on their sites.

Taylor Lautner was present at the kids choice awards, and as always – he was looking spiffy and in great shape.
Of course, the two Taylors – Lautner and Swift – walked away as the night’s biggest winners. Sheesh! These two have the whole demographics.. from kids to teens and to the “not-so-teen-anymore” like me! He said in an interview (video below) that he “wouldn’t mind getting slimed.” But, unfortunately he didn’t get his wish.
Congratulations Taylor Lautner! Can’t wait to see you in the next Twilight: Eclipse movie.
Didn’t like Hasselbeck until today
I have seen Elizabeth Hasselbeck from The View argue her points against Rosie O’ Donnell, put her views out there like there’s no tomorrow. Never liked her views and understand that there are differences regarding her views and mine.
But, the most recent uproar against Sarah Palin’s Twitter and Facebook postings after the Healthcare Reform bill was signed has annoyed even Elizabeth Hasselbeck calling the move “despicable”. Even Joy Behar applauded Hasselbeck for standing up against the GOP leaders who seem to incite violence against the Democrats who voted yes to the Healtcare Reform bill.
Way to go Elizabeth! I know all of us have differences and it is okay to agree to disagree but when something is definitely wrong, regardless of party association – we have to speak up about it like you just did. Kudos!

There are many critics saying that turning off the lights for an hour is not enough to make a significant effect on Global Warming. I disagree totally with the critics on that matter.
The purpose of Earth Hour (at least for me) is to create awareness. Awareness to save energy, awareness to turn of power when not in use, conserve fuel and sot forth. Earth Hour for me has become a reminder every year whether I am doing my best to change my lifestyle in helping to have a better world by fighting climate change. Christian Angelo Manhilot, Son of Cesar Montano found dead.
The initial report from investigators are saying it was apparently a suicide. Christian Angelo Manhilot, 23 (son of actor Cesar Montano) was found dead, slumped on the chair in their kitchen by their household help at around 6:00 a.m., March 26th. He had a gun shot wound to his head and a .45 caliber was found near his remains which police believes was used by Christian to commit suicide.
This is such sad news right after the death of Rosal Rosal‘s grandson (Tony Rose-Gayda‘s son) after falling four flights from their condo balcony.
Our hearts go out to the family of Cesar Montano. May your son rest in peace.
Would Sarah Palin’s Alaska Reality TV Make or Break Sarah Palin?
Washington Post had an article about Sarah Palin’s possible entry into the Reality TV world. It’s a great concept on how to shed light on our 49th state and showcasing the wonders and beauty of Alaska. However, would this show be a platform for Sarah Palin to keep her poised for a possible Presidential bid in 2012? Maybe. Maybe not. Would it make or break her? Maybe. Maybe not.
Sarah Palin has come under fire from her immediate comment on Twitter and Facebook soon after the passage of the healthcare reform bill and posting a graphic of the United States with cross hairs (see definition here) showing the states that are targeted for the Congress officials who voted YES for healthcare reform.
Why? Because such rhetoric used by the former Governor seemed to incite violence. Cross-hairs? Targeted states?
It’s that time of year… Butse Gang member joins a marathon…
This is the time of year when people get excited about getting back into shape. January comes and people are in the gym, hoping to make that resolution work. Then comes February when it’s coldest here on the East Coast – - you see people drop their gym attendance. March is the best time because it is warmer, the clock changes and there’s plenty of sunlight after 6:00 p.m. Birds are chirping and flowers start to bloom.
Well, one Butse Gang member has been running for the past couple of years and have done very well I might add. We call him Tasha – short for Fan”tasha“dora… hahaha! Last weekend, he did a 13.1 mile marathon and finished in 2H:19M – - say!!! I’m proud and jealous at the same time. I have been out of shape for the past year (the economy had a lot to do with it) so I’ve decided to go back to the gym today. I went on the elliptical machine for 20 minutes and another 20 minutes on the treadmill. It’s a start but I gotta get back in shape.

Jennifer Love-Hewitt, the star of Ghost Whisperer were in the headlines a couple of weeks ago when the news broke out that she and her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, her co-star in the same show has separated.
She appeared on Today Show this morning on NBC to promote her book, The Day I Shot Cupid – My name is Jennifer Love-Hewitt and I’m a Love-Aholic. It’s a book about dating and it’s funny how she appeared so at peace and not even bothered by her recent break-up during the entire interview with Meredith Vieira.

Haha! That is so funny! President Obama signed the historic bill for Healthcare Reform this morning and after being introduced by Vice-President Joe Biden, the VP leaned over and congratulated the President for the historic bill and said… “This is a big f***** deal!”
Alright, I was excited as well but I probably would have a better choice of words to express it. I didn’t find it a big deal however…it’s just funny. Oh come on – we all talk that way sometimes don’t we?

I may be biased but GMA 7 Station ID’s doesn’t seem to invoke anything at all while ABS-CBN Station ID’s exemplify unity, fun and creativity.
