Chuva’s review of the Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey fight

Did you watch the fight last night? I know you are probably finding it weird that Chuva watched a boxing match. Don’t be. If the Philippines is involved – I’m there!
I think Manny Pacquiao did what any world champion would do. He didn’t let go. He was strong ’till the end. Did you see him throw over 1100 punches throughout the match? Ha! The only thing that kept Clottey up until the 12th round was because he was too scared to open up and fight. He hid behind his gloves from Round 1 to Round 12! If I paid to watch a fight, I wanted to see a fight – not one man fighting.
Overall, Manny did the Philippines proud ones again. Like a true champion, Manny was unbeatable. Way to go PACMAN!
And I wonder if Arnel Pineda was going to get slapped in the hand for changing the end of the Philippine Natiional Anthem. I hope he doesn’t. I think it’s too petty. Have you ever seen the artist sing the American National Anthem? They’ve done so many versions and each time they have brought the spirit of democracy with it and that is why no matter how they rendered it, (except for the Roseanne thing) it affected the American people and made them proud. We should feel the same for Arnel’s rendition.
Cheers Manny! Walking to the stadium with “Eye of the Tiger” in the background got us cheering so much, I lost my voice. Can’t wait to see you fight Mayweather and show him who the real world champion is!!! One advice though – - please don’t go into politics. Thats IMO!
