Kathy Griffin is on your side when it comes to “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell”
CNN.com reports that Kathy Griffin is organizing a rally in Washington, D.C. to assist in repealing the “antiquated policy of don’t ask, don’t tell” on March 18th at Freedom Plaza.
Kathy Griffin is very popular among gay men (a gay icon suits her) and she has been very supportive of the LGBT community since day one. I love her to death! I think she’s hilarious and for her to be on our side for causes as important as repealing the “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell” policy, made me like her even more. It has been reported as well that she will be meeting with several legislators in Washington to discuss the issue.
She was quoted as saying, “After traveling to Iraq and Afghanistan to perform for the troops and visiting with injured vets and their families at Walter Reed, I’ve gotten to meet and know many gay members of our brave military, their stories are heartbreaking, touching, and need to be heard.”
