What would you choose nowadays?
With all the hullabaloo happening in the auto industry, it’s very hard to trust which brand will do best in the consumer’s favor. Toyota had a lot of media publicity this year beginning with the problems with the car mats, then to the acceleration problems and most recently- another recall of about 600,000 Toyota Sienna Minivans.
Whoah! That’s a lot to take for one company don’t you think? They even agreed to pay 16.4 million dollars as a fine for not telling the government early about the issues that they knew they had.
Have you seen the commercials lately? Like the one with Ford where you can swap your car and see for yourself. How would you like to drive a ford edge for a week? The new honda cr-v is much bigger than it used to and it seems like a perfect car for someone who wants to drive an SUV yet didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for fuel.
It’s funny because a couple of my friends owns a BMW. Both of them own the bmw 3 series but as I was speaking with my neighbor just this afternoon, he told me that he would go for a bmw 6 series but not any bigger than that. He said, of all the cars that he’s had – the BMW can corner like no other.

Halloween is still very much far off and the story may not be as interesting if it was some weird story out of a prank blog of some sort. But this was something that is real and baffled a small village in China when a 101 Chinese started growing 6 cm devil horns. It appears that there is only one today but there is a second mark seemingly trying to poke out of her forehead.

President Obama and Same-Sex Hospital Visits
In a move to end discrimination against homosexuals in hospital visitation rights and sparked by a lesbian couple’s struggle, President Obama ordered hospitals to allow gay spouses to visit their dying partners. An activist, Janice Langbehn wasn’t able allowed to be with her partner of 17 years when she died.
The President actually called Janice personally and apologized and advised her that he will sign an order so that this doesn’t happen again.
“(Gay and Lesbians Americans are) often barred from the bedsides of their partners with whom they may have spent decades of their lives – unable to be there for the person they love, and unable to act as a surrogate if their partner is incapaciated.”

Was it the week to post naked pics and videos?
I was just asking. It seems like this weekend is filled with naked videos and pictures all over the net. Not the usual ones. Celebrities. Yup celebrities. If you call Kim Kardashian a celebrity. I know Ricky Martin is one.
Well, Ricky Martin posted the link of this video via his Twitter account where he was filmed butt naked and tattoos running through his body. I actually liked the imagery (and well – it’s Ricky Martin!) and the composition of the video.
Then, Harper’s Bazaar published an article about Naked Celebrities talk Body Image featuring Kim Kardashian in the nude, laying on the floor – no photoshop…just as is. Featured together with her are Amanda de Cadenet and Joy Bryant.

Out Magazine has published their 4th annual report of 50 Most Powerful Gays in America dubbed as the Power 50 . It wasn’t as exciting to me because I don’t know most of the people on the list until I saw a picture of Anderson Cooper and Jodie Foster in the collage. Hmmm — although both haven’t officially come out of the closet, it is widely known (and I guess acceptable?) that both individuals are already considered as part of the gay community without coming out.
I like both Anderson and Jodie. Guess who else is at the top of the list? Adam Lambert. Yup… man-kissing-man-grinding Adam Lambert is at the top of the list. Favorites like Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford are there too. But, let me surprise you about who’s number one. I couldn’t agree more with Out Magazine’s choice. Find out who’s number one!
‘Glee’ attracts 13.6 Million viewers upon its return
Glee. It’s the show that originally didn’t have an identity. They were trying to figure out what type of audience they will attract and to the producer’s surprise, they created a following greater than expected. Honestly, I didn’t even see the first season while it aired – I only saw it on DVD. I fell in love instantly and I was one of the 13.6 million viewers when the second season premiered on Tuesday night.
Did you guys see the end?! That VOGUE rendition by gym teacher Emma Pillsbury was so hilarious, I almost fell off my chair. The songs that they use are so relevant to the viewing public ages 18-49 that the viewership was up 46 per cent from its highest episode on May 19th.
Next week, Madonna lends her music to the show and it will be fabulous – I’m sure! Don’t forget to watch on April 20th!!

According to People.com, Melissa and Tammy Etheridge have separated. Sheesh! How many more married gay couples will separate in the future? I hope that wouldn’t be the case for Ellen and Portia.
The couple has been together for nine years and it’s really sad to see them part. But like the real world (straight world), these things do happen. We do know that gay relationships do last. I’ve known people who’ve been together for more than two decades.
Sometimes – things just don’t work. It’s called life.

Which Top 10 Hollywood Celebrities would you like to come out of the closet?
We’ve had Ricky Martin as the most recent poster boy for “coming out”. Well, sorta. The most successful ones in memory are Ellen Degeneres, Neil Patrick Harris and of course – Suze Orman. They have all come out and the world didn’t shake, mountains didn’t come tumbling down.
But if I were to ask you – which celebrity would you like to come out. I’m sure the on top of that list will be Anderson Cooper right? Maybe.
Gawker created a list of 10 People Who Need to Finally Come Out of the Closet and the list is hilarious and right on. However, out of the 10 People, one has already come out. That is Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez! Why? Because it said that she will be hosting a party for GO Magazine. GO Magazine is a lesbian magazine according to the post.

Hey guys! I know many of you own iPhones and iTouch who are probably eternally connected to Grindr, the iPhone or iTouch application for Gay and Bisexual men. It’s a way to hook up with men easily – or maybe – just maybe, make friends using this application.
Most of my friends have iPhone and I know exactly what they use it for so I wouldn’t be surprised that one of the most famous celebrities is on Grindr. I don’t think he’s out there to make friends but who’s judging.
Yes siree bob!! According to Adelaide.uk.com, our friend George is on the cyber meat market. Is that really what you do when it is known to the world that you have a lover, have been spotted smooching a well-known male who offers his services for sale and now this? Hmmmm. It looks like there’s more trouble in paradise than simply love on the rocks.
The Truth or Untruths about Oprah… Kitty Kelley
Call me crazy but Kitty Kelley is releasing a book about Oprah. She’s coming after the might Oprah? Oh my my my!
Well, the book is an unauthorized biography entitled: “Oprah: A Biography” written by Kitty Kelley is due out on Tuesday and is already creating a lot of buzz.
One of the more controversial topics is John Tesh’s an Oprah’s relationship back in the 70s. Kitty Kelley seems to imply that John Tesh & Oprah did it once and the book also talks about how Oprah communicates with her mother through her assistant; that her mother doesn’t have her direct line and anything that she has for the Big O cannot be communicated directly.
Hmmmm.. I wonder why?
And of course, the most intriguing question of all. What is really the scoop between Oprah and her “best friend” Gayle’s relationship. Is it more than friendship? Kitty Kelley told USA Today, “I know people are expecting me to ‘out’ her. But I think she’s just asexual,”… “And if she is (gay), she is never ever, ever going to come out. So relax, people.”
Wow! I’m sure this book is not going to be on Oprah’s Favorite Things…. tsk tsk.

Yes, folks. I have saved my blogging income from last summer and here’s the result. It’s time to make the switch. I have always wanted one and although it would be easy to charge it to a credit card and pay for it in installment basis – I still decided that it would be best if blogging can pay for it. And voila! It did!
It’s not hard to make money while blogging. It’s kind of an “icing-on-the-cake” thing if you ask me. I enjoy blogging anyway and what best reward could you get from doing something you love? Get something that you love even more!! Hahaha!.

Australian Footbal Players Come out and show Support to fight Homophobia
I don’t know about y’all but I have always really been a fan of sports. Growing up though wasn’t easy because I found out that most sports really demand the strength and stamina needed to perform at the games. I didn’t have the strength for that. And besides, I am gay and although I didn’t feel any discrimination from my friends while I was growing up (I was treated just like one of the guys), many people did.
Even as today – sports have discriminated against gays. Well, AFL Footy Players says, “Enough is enough.” They came out in support of LGBT players with placards on held in front of their chest. Way to go guys!! I love you even more now!!!
Can’t help but love Tina Fey as she reprised Sarah Palin role on SNL (VIDEO)
OHEMGEEE!!! I love love love Tina Fey! Hahaha! Her reprisal of her role as Sarah Palin last night was sooooo awesome I was rolling on the floor. The skit was so “in-your-face” comedy that it really was a hit.
That is why today, Google Trends was buzzing with words “Tina Fey Sarah Palin SNL”. You will understand why when you watch it…. It’s a parody about creating a Network just like the “O” (Oprah Winfrey) Network named “The Sarah Palin Network” naming future shows that includes Alaskanence, Fat Cats, and Todd!! Hahaha!

Dixie Carter known best as Julia Sugarbaker of Designing Women has died. Cause of Death Unknown
One of my favorite shows during the 80s is “Designing Women”. And I love Dixie Carter’s role as Julia Sugarbaker. Dixie Carter has died at the age of 70. Her cause of death is still unknown and people close to her family has issued a statement saying,:
This has been a terrible blow to our family, and we would appreciate everyone’s understanding that this is a private family tragedy – thank you.

Karylle Wardrobe Malfunction – Another Nip Slip Photo?
Google trends really gives out what is hot and what is not. Today, as I reviewed what’s hot – I was surprised to see Karylle Nip Slip Photo as being one. But according to sources, the photo was also captured during the ASAP XV celebration in Boracay during the same time that the controversial photo of Anne Curtis with her right breast exposed was spread over the internet.
According to sources however, her breast wasn’t exposed and nothing really showed because unlike Anne Curtis, Karylle wore a nipple tape (good thinking Karylle!) to protect her from a possible wardrobe malfunction.
Anne Curtis Nip Slip came out as number four on Google Trends a couple of days after the photo became viral – and now, it’s Karylle’s turn. During Anne Curtis’ appearance on Google Trends, Chuva Chienes dot com received 32700 page views in one day. I wonder what would happen today.

I am flattered whenever I receive a comment on the Transcript of President Cory Aquino’s Speech before U.S. Congress post. Most of the commenter are students looking for the speech because they have an assignment to either review the speech or memorize the speech. They leave their message of thanks and I give them a warm welcome in return. It was very personal to me because I watched her give that speech live when she spoke before U.S. Congress. I still remember the emotions I had. It was a very proud moment.
When Cory Aquino passed away, I was in grief. I needed something to hold on to in order that I may remember my heroine, Madam Cory Aquino. I searched for the transcript of her speech online only to be disappointed. I couldn’t find one website that had her speech transcribed.
However, I found the videos of the speech on Youtube (courtesy of NinoyAquinoTV). That was the jackpot. NinoyAquinoTV had compiled three videos recording the complete speech. I decided to sit down and transcribe every word to make it available to anyone who wants to read it.
As I watched the videos and transcribed her words, I was moved deeply once again. She will remain a role model for me until the day I die.
Most recently, I searched online and found many copies of the transcribed speech. And to find that the source was from my personally-transcribed copy is flattering enough, but to find multiple copies of it makes me smile.

With an average salary of $74,000 USD, you can apply for a position as a UPS Driver. They have implemented a virtual training station in Washington, D.C. They are looking to replace the baby boomers who are retiring and plan on hiring 25,000 in the next five years.
Do you have what it takes? The gist is this. 30% of applicants fail the driver test alone. The Atlanta-based UPS currently employs 99,000 drivers and if you pass the tech-heavy training, you may be well on your way to a new career.
Could this be the start of the job market turn-around? Possibly. If a company like UPS is hiring – - there may be other jobs out there that are now opening up for the how many ever millions of unemployed individuals.
This could be the entrance to the hope tunnel. Let’s hope it continues.
Sportswear Giant Nike and Tiger Woods Commercial Video
When Tiger Woods hit the pages of almost all of the tabloids last year, sponsors started backing off and leaving Tiger hanging. Only one sponsor supported Tiger Woods throughout his ordeal with his infidelity and scandal. That sponsor is Nike.
The ad however is an eerie ad because in the commercial, you will see Tiger listening to his father’s (Earl Woods) voice (who passed away in 2006) telling him, “Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive. I want to find out what your thinking was; I want to find out what your feelings are…” Adding at the end, “and did you learn anything.”
You would see Tiger almost in the verge of tears as the ad ends with the Nike logo.

Sign the Petition to Reinstate Ms. Venus Raj as Rep for Bb. Pilipinas – Universe
A petition online was started to request the reinstatement of Ms. Maria Venus Raj as the representative for Bb. Pilipinas Universe. A Facebook fanpage was created as well to gain support on the issue.
The Bb. Pilipinas Pageant Officials are being petitioned to re-think their decision. The facebook fanpage (which has attracted over 3 thousand supporters already states:
“The questions remain: Why was Venus still accepted as an official candidate and even allowed to compete in the first place? And why was Venus not given due process before making the hasty decision to dethrone her? BPCI, please don’t expect us to fall for this that easily. We smell something fishy. And please don’t get us started on “maintaining the integrity and credibility of the pageant”
