Michael becomes the biggest loser – beating Daris and Ashley
These guys amaze me. I can’t believe the weight these folks have started with when they joined the Big Loser camp. It was a long 18 weeks to come to this and the final three – Michael, Daris and Ashley had to be weighed to compete for the title.
I was really rooting for Daris because I think he’s just a very sweet person (and he was single during the last episode!!!) and handsome. You can tell though that every single one of them worked very hard to get to this point and to me, all of them are winners.

Guess What? Charice joins the GLEE Cast – - Confirmed!
Woohoo!! Guess what folks! It’s the Oprah effect or is it the Chuva effect? Hahaha! It has been confirmed that Charice will join GLEE, the most popular TV series at the moment as a regular cast member. She will be joining Finn, Puck, Rachel and be coached by Mr. Schuster… woohoo!!
It wasn’t long ago when I started a “Let’s get Charice to guest on GLEE” fan page on Facebook. I’m sure there have been talks about this way before that and I am so happy to announce that we no longer have to wait for the fan page to reach millions of fans because Charice will not only guest but become a REGULAR cast member of the TV Musical Series.

I totally get it now. When I started watching GLEE, I fell in love with Finn (Corey Monteith) instantly. All my friends want Noak “Puck” (Mark Salling) though but the faux hawk kinda turned me off.
But he recently shaved the faux hawk and man – - it totally changed my view about him. You know, the bad-boy type all of a sudden became super sexy to me. Now, I want to see more of Puck than Finn. His GQ spread just made me want him more.
Who would you rather? Finn or Puck?

Wal-Mart Cuts iPhone 3GS Price In HALF To $97

Huffington Post recently noted that Wal-mart will be cutting the price of the iPhone 3GS to $97.00 if you sign up with a 2-year contract with AT&T. While the current price of the iPhone 3GS with 16 GB is $197.00 – this move is suspect that Apple may be releasing their latest model that is why Wal-mart is eager to rid of their store with the former model.
Many of my friends (who are programmers) have an iPhone. I haven’t bought into it yet as I am very loyal to my Blackberry but if they are cutting the price in half – - maybe, just maybe – I will get one. However, my phone carrier gave me a deal that I can’t pass up. I don’t have to subscribe to the web application in order to have a Blackberry while iPhone owners do.
With the leak of the iPone’s new model last month, I wonder if many iPhone owners are already trying to get rid of their own iPhones on eBay. We shall see.

I was surprised when I found out that one of my friends still haven’t watched a single episode of Glee. We were listening to the soundtrack last night and I think I just got him hooked. He will watch the episode tonight.
Tonight, the show will feature Lady Gaga and KISS. It is not similar to what they did to Madonna week where they dedicated the whole show with all songs by Madonna. This time, they will feature the song “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga…

Vice Ganda irons out the “baklaan” issue with Tado
Many people who watched the Showtime episode where Vice Ganda and Tado had a very heated exchange of words believe that Vice Ganda should have responded differently. (See the poll results here.) However, in order to let the issue die, Vice Ganda posted a status on Facebook admitting that he as at fault too because of his reaction but insisted that the comments made by Tado affected him personally.
With almost 1.6 million fans on Facebook, Vice received a mix review of his reaction with many posts accusing him of being too self-righteous and others supporting his stance as well.

What would be the explanation of Lost’s Season Finale?
Millions tuned in at the Season Finale of “Lost” aired last night, giving an end to a six-year run of a show that enticed millions of followers. The finale provided little if any at all to many unanswered questions.
But what to your opinion did it all represent? Was the island more like some kind of a Purgatory ( a place in between earth and heaven ) where they all stopped to make amends about their past? Or was it simply a medium, a view of each individual’s life with some sort of “life flashing before me” before once death?
Were you satisfied with the finale or did you find it to be somewhat disappointing? How would you end this mysterious show if you were given that task.
After six-years – - just when the episodes are getting more and more involving, the series ends. I guess it’s one of those “quit-while-you’re-ahead” type of finale.
Overall, great job to the producers, directors and actors who made lost a part of my weekly life for six years. Job well done.

Shalani Soledad: Exclusive Interview by Kris Aquino – Video and Transcript
The serious conversation that Kris Aquino and President-elect Noynoy Aquino’s girlfriend Shalani Soledad was very good. The two people closest to Noynoy Aquino’s heart had an honest heart-to-heart talk and was featured on The Buzz yesterday, May 23rd.
The exclusive interview with the politician girlfriend of Noynoy was the first time the Valenzuela Councilor has admitted the relationship in public and a refreshing conversation since it was the first time that the public had the chance to find out who she really is. A public servant herself, Shalani Soledad emitted a very calm and composed personality whom I found to be very charismatic. She is humble and she is very private.
When asked about becoming First Lady, she responded – “It’s not about us right now. That can wait. For now, it is about our country.” I found that very humbling.

News of the World reports that the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson was striking a deal to sell information about Prince Andrew for a half a million pounds. Could this be true? The video even shows a reported $40,000 dollars sitting on the table and was placed in a computer bag which is allegedly a down payment for the deal.
Ha! So, real people like us are not the only ones going through financial difficulties. What do you think the Queen will think about this. Does Fergie even care? Maybe not.

Woohoo! This has been an emotional roller coaster for me. The charities Holly Robinson Peete and Bret Michaels are fighting for are amazingly important to both of them and they both got to where they are today because both are tough and great leaders.
However, Bret did suffer through a lot with his health and everything else and I am really excited to see Bret Michaels strong and attending the live show. If Bret wins – I will still think that Holly is a winner as well.
They are both winners to me!

Everyone must do their part to support the troops who are deployed in dangerous countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq. May celebrities have supported our troops by going to countries where most of our troops have put their own lives in danger for peace.
David Beckham is one of the celebrities who have visited and entertained our troops in Afghanistan. I can’t believe he looks sexier in fatigues than in soccer shorts. He’s as hot as ever and doing a good thing for a great cause.
Way to go David? I wonder if Armani will release camo undies for David to model? It would be hot don’t you think?

The Special Friendship between Vice Ganda and Coco “Deng-Deng” Martin
I was really touched when I saw The BUZZ featuring Vice Ganda on his accomplishments, fresh from his successful concert at Araneta Colosseum. There was a boquet of flowers sent to Vice by one of his very very close friends And that very close friend is none other than The Prince of Indie films – our Chuvahotness # 18 – Coco “Deng-Deng” Martin.
Apparently, these two were very good friends way before they were stars. Everyone knows Coco Martin’s history now after he starred in the movie “Masahista”. He still decided to go to Canada and was ready to become a TNT when luck didn’t go his way. He went back home and related his story to Vice Ganda, being one of his “bes” friends.
Who would have thought that the two would be at the height of stardom at the same time! I also liked it when Vice Ganda said that it is nice to know that a gay man and a straight man can be real friends without any romantic undertones. It’s very true and I could attest to that myself. I have a lot of straight friends I hang out with and they are as much fun as my gay friends.
Vice Ganda also stated that his followers on Facebook has now reached 1.6 million — how great is that? I love him as well as Coco Martin. Did you guys know that Coco Martin was also voted as RP’s Sexiest Man on Starmometer for 2010 ? He’s just simply at the top of his game and he is very grateful.
More power to both of you – Vice Ganda and Coco Martin! I do hope to meet both of you someday!

I don’t know what you have to do to get front row seats on a popular TV Show in the US – “Dancing with the Stars” but it seems like Dra. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho has the connections!
The couple two were spotted on the famous TV show and it looks like they are both enjoying themselves. No word on whether the couple has officially reconciled but it looks like they are very happy. People have probably moved on from the sex tape scandals as well. I wonder what Katrina Halili is thinking these days?

KC Concepcion on her morning show Simply KC: “I hope you accept me for who I am.”
After just a few weeks of being one of the The Buzz hosts, KC gets another chance to show off her skill in that field with ABS-CBN’s newest morning talk show called Simply KC, which will premiere on Monday, May 24.
As in the beginning of her past projects, there are people who doubt if the 25-year-old daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta already deserves her own talk show when she has just started hosting the weekend showbiz talk show.
To answer this, KC laid out her past experiences in hosting during the media junket prepared for her by ABS-CBN yesterday, May 21, at the 9501 Restaurant at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City.
She related, “I started hosting po as an MTV VJ for two years when I was a teenager. Siguro, because it’s not mainstream, hindi po nila napanood. Pero medyo matagal na rin po akong nagwo-work sa hosting.
KC Concepcion: Simply KC
KC Concepcion feels blessed more than ever because aside from being a regular host for The Buzz, she is will now be hosting her own morning show entitled Simply KC which will premiere on Monday, May 24. According to KC, the show is light and fun and it caters to young moms who want to start their day right. Simply KC offers a lot of “first times” in a morning show. “It is a very new show, may new media, meron kaming mga ine-experiment kaya ninenerbyos din ako kung anong magiging reaction ng mga viewers. The show starts with a “vlog”–video log, we have website links to the show which makes it more interactive for viewers. In that way it makes it more real, more personal, more exciting. Sobrang intimate din ng set, which is also a first in the morning shows, the audience are all around you they are just within reach, siguro kaya kaming lahat we feel more at home.”

Official Statement on Willie Revillame’s letter to ABS-CBN
ABS-CBN releases its official statement regarding Willie Revillame asking the network to release him from his contract.
Even prior to the publication of Willie Revillame’s letter to ABS-CBN in the May 21 column of Ricky Lo in The Philippine Star, a meeting has already been scheduled between Willie and ABS-CBN management next week. ABS-CBN chooses not to comment on his letter until after the meeting.
Here’s the letter that was allegedly sent to ABS-CBN:
Dear Sir Gabby and Ma’am Charo,
I have labored over the past week on what to do in the face of another setback in my relations with the management of the network. ABS-CBN has been my home for the last five years and five months and it has given me the greatest gift—the opportunity to reach out to people who have so little in life.
In the process, I have come to realize that my gratitude to the network would be more meaningful if I considered the impact of my recent actions which has placed the station in a bad light. This is among the reasons, as I will explain in this letter, that I humbly request the management, to release me as a talent of the network.
It is no secret that the program “Wowowee,” for almost five and a half years, has been the core of my existence. The program gives me a sense of purpose because I make people happy and I give them hope that, despite their difficulties, they can make things happen for themselves. Because of this, my world has revolved around the show. The desire to make it the best noontime show, has consumed my waking hours, as I conceptualize its format and contents from Monday to Saturday. Apart from this, I want the show to give the network excellent ratings to maintain its reputation as the leader in the broadcasting industry.
My devotion to the show is unparalleled that I have even been besieged by health problems due to the long hours I spend daily, thinking of how to bring “Wowowee” closer to the public. In fact, I have developed a heart blockage, which has already once posed a real threat to my life. I have sacrificed so much. Now, I have to accept the reality that I also have to take good care of my health.
Hence, it is very painful to hear every time my show is the target of unwanted and unnecessary tirades. I do not think that these people even have the slightest clue of what I go through to put together a show like “Wowowee”‘. The show is not for me, but for those people who dream of a better life. Is it too much to ask that we be respected for what we do? Is it too much to ask that we be defended from such attacks?
My outburst last week during the live presentation of the show is nothing more than a reflection of my frustration over these things, and was not at all meant to disrespect the network and its management. I implore you to understand that several incidents, which were beyond my control which have marred the reputation of the show to some extent, have already taken their toll on me.There was the “Wilyonaryo” incident wherein we were accused of deceiving contestants about their winnings; the Ultra stampede wherein I was blamed and severely criticized; the misunderstanding about my remarks when the coverage of the funeral of the late Pres. Corazon Aquino was unexpectedly shown in the giling-giling portion of “Wowowee”’s airing, for which I have apologized. In all these incidents, I took responsibility even if I was not at fault.
I do not want to cause any further embarrassment to the network. I know that all these have caused so much strain on our relations and I would like to save the situation by asking that I be released as a talent of the station. This way, I will have the much-needed space and time to contemplate on my direction in life and, at the same time, maintain the relationships I have built within the network, which are all worth preserving.
Before I end this letter, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to all the important people I have had the good fortune to work with during the years I have been with ABS-CBN. Ma’am Charo, maraming salamat sa lahat ng pagkakataon na naibigay ninyo sa akin. Kayo po ang tinuturing kong ina na patuloy akong tinatanggap at minamahal sa kabila ng lahat ng aking kahinaan. Nude photos of Pilipinas Got Talent finalist Markki Stroem was reportedly circulating in the internet but Showbiz News Ngayon merely uncovered the ones where he’s wearing skimpy underwear which showed off his fantastic figure. Although the 22-year old confirmed that the reports are true, he couldn’t help but be embarrassed for being caught in this controversy. “Yeah, I saw them. I mean, I’m a bit nahihiya kasi everything is out there and I just want to show that I can sing and I’m a musician. And I don’t want everyone to be seeing the picture of me in my underwear as something that’s distracting to the fact that I’m a contestant in Pilipinas Got Talent,” he shyly said in a recent interview.
Do you love GLEE? Do you love Charice? Why not have them together on GLEE?
Remember how they got Betty White to host SNL because of Facebook? Now, they are also trying to get Carol Burnett to host SNL. I love both of them and I love SNL so I joined the campaign.
How about getting Charice to guest on GLEE? Charice falls in the same age range with the GLEE cast and I think it would be great to see her belt out her versions of songs that have made her popular. Or better yet, sing one of her singles from her latest albums! That would be a hoot wouldn’t it?

Every Filipino knows Jollibee. It’s the most well-known fast food chain in the Philippines. Started as an Ice Cream Parlor back in 1975, Jollibee has become the symbol of Filipino entrepreneurship and success. With chains in several countries like Hong Kong, Brunei, and the US – Jollibee is very popular among Filipinos overseas.
Its recent opening on the East Coast drew large crowds (Jollibee had stores for a while on the West Coast but took a while to open up chain stores on the East) and has been very successful in the New York / New Jersey area. Sometimes, Filipinos will drive for hours just to taste that Chicken Joy again or the Jollibee Spaghetti.
