Jennifer Lopez in, Kara Dioguardi Out, Ellen Degeneres Out – - Future of American Idol
What in the world is going on with American Idol? Do you think there is still a chance in saving it?
I, for one don’t watch American Idol anymore. I mean, last season was blah! There are certainly loyals out there but I am not one of them. Adding Jennifer Lopez as one of the permanent judges and allegedly adding Steven Tyler of Aerosmith to replace Simon Cowell just doesn’t appeal very much to moi.
I guess it’s time to hang the hat. American Idol has run its course.
When Ellen Degeneres announced her departure, Ryan Seacrest confirmed by tweeting that he’s going to miss her. I love Ellen and although I didn’t think AI is for her.. she did her job quite well. She was very uncomfortable in telling people with no talent that they don’t have any talent.. and she didn’t like that one bit.
Anyways, there has got to be new shows out there that would attract viewers… as far as I’m concerned… American Idol is out.
