Issues with the White iPhone 4 is making me think if I should wait.
Get this. I waited over a month to get an iPhone 4 because I preferred getting the white iPhone 4 as opposed to the black one. However, the issues surrounding the production of white iPhone 4 is making me think twice.
According to the AppleInsider blog, there are manufacturing issues regarding the opacity and thickness of the case. The Chinese company chosen to make the white iPhone 4 called Lens Technology has also said that they can only make three glass panels per hour according to Chinese newspaper 21st Century Business Herald. OUCH!!
The main question is this: “Should I really wait for the white one when there are already known signal issues on the black one?” This could be a double-whammy of a headache for the people waiting for the white iPhone 4.

The daughter of the most famous couple, Former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is set to get married in less than two weeks. Isn’t that amazing?
Chelsea Clinton is marrying Goldman Sachs investment banker, ?Marc Mezvinsky. According to Hillary during an interview with NBC’s Today show that if Former President Bill Clinton makes it to the altar “in one piece, it will be a major accomplishment”.
Chelsea is of age and her guest list for the wedding is as TOP SECRET as anything could possibly hide. Rumors has it though that the guest list includes the Obamas, Barbra Streisand, Ted Turner, and of course… Oprah Winfrey.
She will be walking down the aisle wearing a wedding gown created by Oscar de la Renta. I could just imagine.

A weekend in New York City can still be fun.
It has been quite sometime now that I have strolled the streets of Manhattan. It’s a skip and a jump for me and I wish I would make time to visit. I normally visit Manhattan during the Christmas season while Times Square and Macy’s are all decked up in wonderful holiday decorations.
Last weekend, I ended up in New York City not but choice (ehemm!) but because a friend of mine was visiting from Hong Kong.

I thought it was very interesting to see an artist’s rendition of Google Earth showing biblical events if they happened today.
How would you like to see the parting of the Red Sea via satellite as it occurred? What about the Crucifixion of Christ?
What struck me the most was the rendition of Noah’s Ark being found sitting atop a mountain somewhere. The images are quite touching, it gave me goosebumps.

When Facebook suggests you get in touch with someone… who’s already died.
What would you do if you have a friend on Facebook who has passed and the “send him a message” appears on the sidebar? Kinda freaky isn’t it?
Well, according to NYTimes.com, it happens to many of the 350 million Facebook users. How does an social networking application determine if a user has died? Pretty hard to automate that I would say.
It has been admitted by Facebook that there is really no concrete way to determine if the user is dead or not. Apparently, they do have a way of reporting if someone has already passed and a relative must verify it with a death certificate or a link to an obituary publication. I didn’t know that. And you probably didn’t as well and therefore, you probably don’t know how to report it.
The question however comes down to: “Do you really want to take out someone’s memory from the application?” Some of the friends would still probably want to leave a comment or two, or offer prayers on that person’s behalf. What would be the most acceptable and politically correct way of doing so?
I guess, Facebook will somehow have to find a way to do so in the future.
It’s just kinda freaky if you asked me.
Willie Revillame’s Return to Wowowee inevitable?
It has been confirmed by TV5′s gossip host Cristy Fermin that Willie Revillame will be going back to Wowowee. The rumored date is July 31st but it wasn’t confirmed by Cristy.
According to the write-up at PEP, Cristy believes that Willie is ready to “forgive” and go back to the once popular game show, Wowowee.
There are also “alleged animosities” between Pokwang and Willie Revillame. Cristy was strong to say that she is someone who is “taong walang utang na loob” (a person who disregards gratitude). Hmmm..
My question is: Why is Cristy Fermin getting involved with another network’s issue? Is that even fair?

The most recent interest in the FIFA World Cup 2010 in the US was quite surprising. There are still many who can’t get into football (soccer) but the majority showed that there is interest in getting the US back into hosting the World Cup.

I am getting more antsy by the minute waiting for the white iPhone 4 to be available. I have read many websites and blogs stating that the white iPhone pre-order will start on July 19th. Helloooo!! That’s today. However, when I look up the availability on Apple’s website – it still shows that the White iPhone as unavailable for order or in-store pickup. WTF?!
Could the signal glitches be the cause of the delay? Are they fixing the glitch before they roll it out? How is Apple going to roll out the white iPhone? Rumors abound that it will be rolled out in limited quantities but how?
My blackberry has started acting up (it figures…) and my contract with my current carrier expires today. How long do I have to wait? What does Apple really mean when they say “second half of July”?

Hello Chikatime Lovers! May Cheezmax ako para sa inyo!
Many of my readers probably remember the fiasco that occurred back in 2008 with the Delfin DJ Montano and Brian Gorrell scandal explosion. Remember?
Well, many things happened after that and one website that will remain in people’s mind and forever will be the Chika Chika of ALL TIME is Chikatime.com.
I remember the daily entries and how hilarious they were. Vhong and Vanessa (not their real names I guess!) blogged to the highest level of laitan and katatawanan. Rumor has it that the reason Chikatime bowed and abandoned their slice of the web is due to certain legal repercussions but I really don’t care about that.
The good news is that I found this website where you can see and read cached pages of any website (and that is why I tell you to be careful what you blog!) that goes back years.
I checked for Chikatime.com (the domain is now owned by a fashion/clothes seller – - not that interesting) and lo and behold! I found the stories that used to make me laugh and roll on the floor.
The website? It’s called Wayback Machine.

What did the Apple iPhone Press Conference say about a possible recall of the iPhone 4? Bumpers!
According to the WSJ Blog, since everyone who got their iPhone is concerned about the reception/signal issues and what Apple will do about it – a conference by Apple was held to address the issue.
It looks like if you are an iPhone 4 user and you have an issue with reception, you can choose one of two things. A free bumper case to prevent signal loss (protecting the metal antenna around the iPhone) or full refund for your return and a termination of the contract with AT&T without penalties.
Here’s what the blog stated:
The conference began at 1 p.m. ET and lasted nearly an hour and a half.
Most importantly, Mr. Jobs said the company will be giving away free cases or “bumpers” to its iPhone 4 customers. It will also accept returns for a full refund and will waive the restocking fee, and customers will be able to cancel their contracts with AT&T as well.

ABS-CBN Releases Official Statement on Wowowee and Willie Revillame
It looks like there hasn’t been a final decision made about Willie Revillame and Wowowee’s fate on ABS-CBN. There has not been a statement issued by ABS-CBN in the past and to stop the rumor mills from spinning, ABS-CBN finally issued a formal statement only to deny the circulating rumors without giving information about any decision or future regarding Willie Revillame and Wowowee.
Here’s the statement issued by ABS-CBN:
“Ang mga lumalabas na bali-balita tungkol kay Willie Revillame at sa Wowowee ay mga espekulasyon. Nag-usap na ang ABS-CBN management at si Willie kung ano ang options o mga posibleng gagawin pagkatapos ng kanyang break. Wala pang napagkakasunduan ang ABS-CBN at si Willie. Kung mayroon mang pagbabagong magaganap, ito’y opisyal na ipahahayag ng ABS-CBN sa takdang panahon.”

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin engaged. Is this for real?
If you know me, I’m all for reconciliation. There’s not need to prolong any misunderstandings and stuff if there is not a need to do so. It comes with every relationship and of course, at times there are people that even though you can forgive their transgressions – - you still never forget.
In the case of Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, everyone was probably shocked when they both announced “via a magazine cover” of USWeekly that they have decided to tie the knot. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was a normal relationship but I was shocked only because Levi has thrown so much shit up the Palin household that I thought it would be hard to get it off. Apparently not. How did they get back together? Well, according to USWeekly, both Levi and Bristol met to discuss arrangements for custody of their son Tripp. Late that evening, Levi sent a text to Bristol saying, “I miss you, I love you. I want to be with you again.” – - – and the rest was history.
QFest Philadelphia 2010 – July 9 – July 19, 2010 – Leo’s Room (Video) Trailer
There was a time when our group of friends will gather during QFest in Philadelphia and we made it a point to watch at least two to three movies from the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Those days are long gone and I miss those days. Nobody seems to have the time to hang out in the city anymore to watch movies during QFest.
I did hear about a couple of entries in this year’s QFest that are both worth seeing. One of them is Leo’s Room *(Uruguay) and the other Elvis and Madonna *(Brazil). The story lines are worth it and I heard that the acting from both movies are superb.
I am going to try and see at least one of them – which is Leo’s Room. I love those “gay and confused” stories because I can somehow relate to it.

Best Buy and Gift Cards – - Be careful folks!
I love Best Buy. I buy anything and everything electronic at that store. I even have my Reward Zone card. But I have had two issues with Best Buy that is making me think as to whether I should continue to purchase my stuff there.
I bought a digital camera from Best Buy and I DID BUY the extra warranty service that they offer. Get this, right almost at the end of the extra warranty that was about to expire, my camera started acting up. There are times that the screen would fade and I couldn’t even see what I am taking a photo of. Even worst, it happens intermittently.
iPhone 4 Recall? Consumer Reports would not recommend iPhone 4
I read this on the Metro today while on my way to work. Apparently, the lost signal issues that iPhone 4 is experiencing is bad enough for Consumer Reports to give the new iPhone 4 a bad review that they would not recommend anyone to buy it at this stage. There were rumors around forums and blogs that the iPhone 4 will be recalled because of this issue but no official word yet.
With a great reputation that Apple has, I’m sure they will not risk tainting it with the publicity that their new phone is less than the promised technology expected by the 1.7 million users who already bought the iPhone during the first 3-days that it went on sale. They will probably (just my guess) put out a recall to repair the damage this lost signal issue will create to their untainted reputation.
If the recall should go into effect, estimates show that it would cost Apple $1.5 Billion (yes with a “B”) according to Business Week.
I am still waiting for my White iPhone to be available so I am watching carefully on the sideline to decide whether I should get it as soon as it is released or should I wait later when Verizon makes the iPhone 4 available in January?

Spain celebrates Victory in Madrid – Victory Parade Pictures
This is the first time Spain has ever won the World Cup. It is indeed a time to rejoice and celebrate for all fans around the globe.
The World Cup Winners arrived home yesterday and was greeted by King Juan Carlos and Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero via bus parade on Madrid’s streets.
The win, which was the most watched soccer game is US history according to ESPN. It drew 15.5 million viewers in the U.S. Could it be that the US is finally warming up to soccer? Let’s wait and see.

It’s hard enough to be in a relationship without being in the spotlight. It’s harder to be in a relationship and at the same time, having the prying eyes of the public scrutinizing your relationship. Being a celebrity has its pros and cons like any other. One of the negatives is keeping a relationship together.
Granted, Mariel and Zanjoe are on the spotlight. What ever happened to William Martinez and Yayo Aguila? 25 years together only to end up in separation. They are not even on the spotlight anymore until that incident with Baron Geisler and their daughter. I still remember the couple from way back during the Bagets era. It was even surprising they stayed together for 25 years.
Yayo apparently admitted already that she has fallen out of love. The separation is amicable and there are no ill-feelings toward each other according to Yayo since it was a mutual decision.
Wow – - does anything really lasts anymore?
The Kids are All Right – Starring Annette Bening and Julian Moore as lesbians gets rave reviews.
I finally saw Twilight: Eclipse. Yes, I am pretty late when it comes to watching movies. I saw a trailer of The Kids are All Right and I thought.. Hmmmm… interesting. Now, it’s a story about a lesbian couple Annette Bening and Julian Moore) whose sperm donor father (Mark Ruffalo) was invited by their kids back into their lives.
The world is anew when he shows up and the story then revolved around that.
The thing is, there were many gay films in the past that had shown gay sex. It’s not so new. Although, I believe it’s getting a bit more “palatable” these days as gays become more and more accepted into society.
I’ve seen many of the films including My Beautiful Laundrette, Personal Best, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many others where they show a bit of gay sex. You can view a slide of these memorable sex scenes here.
This time, it’s lesbian sex and both actors seem to manage to portray the scene in its hilarious moment
. The story continues and you could see the heartwarming story of a very unconventional family unfold… warm, funny and most of all real.
