Excited for our trip this coming Labor Day – Rehoboth Beach, DE
The Butse Gang used to do this annually – A Trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Somehow, budgets were tight and some people preferred to forego of our yearly trip. The last time I went with the gang was in 2008 (where Diwatang Byaning booked a hotel that could have been our demise – mas maigi pa yatang nagbook kami sa Afghanistan – hahaha!! ) and this year, I simply want to get away and Rehoboth Beach seems like the best place to go.
I didn’t go last year because as you all know, there were a lot of cost-cutting happening in my household and workplace. We had to take a paycut and we didn’t get a raise. Times were tough. This year is a bit better and I did get a small raise so I am willing to splurge a little bit.
We had our hotel booked two months ago and I was just going through the reviews and found this. Ang taraaaaaayyyyy!!! Read the review. First of all, if she has an “au pair”, I would think she can afford a much better hotel than the hotel we will be staying. Tse!! Nagyabang pa!! Hahahaha!
Hotel was great for our family with two small children – loved the pool, the spaciousness of the room, and the variety of food at breakfast (eggs were fantastic!). Only surprise was that we had planned to use the couch in the room for our au pair to sleep on but it was so narrow – not a full seat size so difficult to sleep on. Calling this a “suite” is a bit of a stretch, but it didn’t feel crowded.

Anyway, as a way to say goodbye to Summer 2010 – we are packing up and driving to Rehoboth Beach for a much needed R&R. And if you are looking for photos, don’t worry as I will post them as soon as I get back. Asahan ninyo ang mga pictures ng mga boylets….like these.
