Why I love family reunions. It’s always a blast.
Last weekend, I had to go to NYC to be with my family. My family are split between Maryland and New York City. I am the one in between. It’s very rare that we get a successful family reunion because of our careers, family and other stuff. You all know what I mean. This time, it was a miracle that all the family members were there. Usually, you can only get our family to go to a function if the function is in Atlantic City, New Jersey or Las Vegas!! Haha! That’s who we are. We like gambling.
So, it was super surprising that even without slot machines, we were all there. We had the usual fun and games, the karaoke machine blasting. But then, later on when we all got bored – my brother told me about playing blackjack online. I have dabbled with that before and since the whole family knows how to play 21, it’s a given that we usually agree on playing the game. I had no idea that there are sites out there that can teach you how to play and win the game. It was amazing.
Believe me, family reunions are fun but it’s more fun when you can share common things with family. My brother and I spoke rarely when I was growing up but this time around, we have something in common that we like. Guess who ended up in Atlantic City at the end of our weekend reunion? My brother and two sisters. It was too bad I had to work last Monday. Oh well.
