Lindsay Lohan could leave rehab earlier than expected.
It’s a good thing that Lindsay Lohan was ordered to go to rehab after her short stint in Lynwood jail. The girl definitely needed help and it was good for the judge to have ordered her to go into rehab right after.
Drug and alcohol addiction have ruined many lives, specially celebrities. But addiction is not limited to celebrities. There are regular Joes out there who certainly need help but has not gotten help because probably, they aren’t aware of their choices.
Was it a little too little, too late for Dr. Laura? N-Word Issue: Or are people simply tired of her?
The live show was aired. The caller was offended. The portion of the radio show was played on television shows and radio shows. The statement rocked the blogosphere. Dr. Laura apologized. She went on air on Larry King Live to state that she is leaving the show. Some people accepted her apology. Many people did not.
Do you think Dr. Laura would have gotten this much attention if this was the very first time she’s done something that attacked a group or an individual? Maybe and maybe not. But history shows that she has offended many before and I, for one – being a homosexual was offended by her comments that I read on Wikipedia. Calling homosexuals a “biological error” and equating homosexual men to that of “pedophiles” was extremely offensive.
Is this even surprising? Sarah Palin joins in on the Dr. Laura N-word issue.
Whoah whoah whoah… of course, Sarah Palin has something to say. The funny thing is that she is asking Dr. Laura not to quit but rather “reload”. Hmmmm… why didn’t Palin think of “don’t retreat/reload” slogan in Alaska when she was governor? She retreated.
That is why PerezHilton.com wrote QUITTERS all over both of their pictures on his blog.

Miss Universe-Philippines Venus Raj in National Costume

One of the traditions of the Miss Universe pageant is to have the contestants represent their native land by wearing a version of their National Costume. Designers are given free-reign over the design and how they could best represent the contestant’s country.
I think that this year’s representation for the Philippines is good in a way that the traditional baro’t saya was given a bit of a modern flair with an obvious Spanish influence.

I was reading The Daily Caller and the buzz is that… get this: Hillary may be running as Obama’s VeePee in 2012! How about that? I mean, given the fact the Obama is experiencing his lowest rating among Americans right now.. what better move than to give Hill the much-needed PR role to lift his numbers up!
It doesn’t stop there though. If Hillary takes this, she would simply be positioning herself for a Presidential run in 2016. Her dreams may not be out of reach after all.

Yes, that’s right – Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgaard appear bloody and naked on the cover of Rolling Stones Magazine with images leaked yesterday.
Apparently Skarsgaard is used to the nudity and really want to let it all hang out.. LOL!

Dr. Laura Schlessinger quits after N-word issue.
Just last week, Dr. Laura Schlessinger came under fire for mentioning the N-word on her radio program while she was trying to make a point to a caller. She mentioned the word 11 times and offended many listeners and the issue brought national attention.
She apologized the next day after the incident saying:
“I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the N-word all the way out — more than one time. And that was wrong. I’ll say it again — that was wrong.”
Dr. Laura announced that she is leaving the radio station after the incident. On CNN’s Larry King Live, Dr. Laura said:
“I made the decision not to do radio anymore. I want to regain my first amendment rights. I want to be able to say what is on my mind, in my heart, what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry.”
Reports say that she is not retiring but will continue to speak out on issues.

My best friend and I went to AC one time and although I don’t like playing the tables as I’ve stated before, one thing I tried was playing blackjack. I don’t want to be embarrassed and get yelled at by the players around me. So I never really tried it.

Sheezawhiz! Did I tell you guys that I went to Atlantic City two weeks ago? My, Oh, My! I promised myself that I will use whatever cash I brought with me and that was it. It was just recently when my sister suffered a mild heart attack. Months before that, it was her husband. Months before her husband, it was my brother. My sister and my brother-in-law both underwent angioplasty and my brother had to go through a triple bypass surgery.
What would have happened if no one were around? I live alone so one of my greatest fear is if I go through a real emergency and no one is around to even know that something is wrong.

James Reid and Tricia Santos were spotted at the celebrity premiere of Step Up 3D.
How true is it that the two were very sweet and during one kissing scene in the movie, the PBB big winner nudged Tricia’s foot. The two then made meaningful stares at each other. It can be recalled that James kissed Tricia while inside the PBB house when the teen housemates plated Truth or Dare. James even said “I don’t think we need this” referring to the tissue supposedly to be placed in between their lips.
Now that they are outside the PBB house, is romance finally in the air? Scoop was read in Facebook c/o Chelsea Laserna who was at the premiere night. There’s a video of them going inside the cinema together and some photos.

I was amazed by her personality and how charming she is. This is the very first time I’ve seen a video of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, Miss Venus Raj and I can’t help but say that if she remains that calm and collected during the pageant, she definitely has a very good chance to take the crown home. She speaks very well, she’s animated – - she’s deserving to be Miss Universe!!!

I have never heard of the book until a friend of mine (whom I can never picture would ever read a book other than Zoological or Botanical books – yes, including Human Anatomy) mentioned that he bought a book entitled “The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo”. Of course, he didn’t want to read it unless it is a certified book of interest.
He gave the book to his sister-in-law (who is a college professor) to read and to tell him whether the book is worth reading or not.

Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka are expecting twins – Everybody say, Awwwww!
The How I Met Your Mother star, Neil Patrick Harris or NPH (as he is usually called now) is expecting twins with his partner David Burtka. NPH revealed the news over the weekend by tweeting the following:
“So get this,David and I are expecting twins this fall. We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled.”
Not are they a very cute couple, they are being blessed with twins!! Woohoo!!
According to reports, the babies are expected to be delivered by the stork in October. Congrats!!!
Now I have just one advice for both David and Neil… read this.

Teri Hatcher, the star of Desperate Housewives simply got tired of being accused of having plastic surgery done on herself. And one night, she decided to post pictures of her wrapped in towel showing her wrinkly forehead on Twitter.
“Out of the bath getting ready for bed. Thought about all those damn critics of my face. Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what ‘they’ say. Decided I’d shoot myself in to reveal some truths about ‘beauty’ and hope it makes you all easier on yourself”, Hatcher said.
“Did I every (sic) toy with fillers or Botox over the years? yes. Tell me does this look Botoxed to you? Yes I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point,” Hatcher wrote. “Women YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.”

“. The post appeared and disappeared within minutes. Apparently, that was not JB’s phone number but rather a phone number of another kid in Detroit and was tweeted to get back at him. Allegedly, this boy hacked JB’s friend’s Twitter account to get JB’s phone number…

Maybe she was sincere after all. Maybe Kris Aquino has learned from the past. Maybe, she is really trying her very best to protect P-Noy’s reputation by not getting into the headlines that will be distracting to the President of the Philippines. Maybe.. maybe.. maybe… or is she?
Kris Aquino recently responded to her mother-in-law’s comments about her and instead of firing back, Kris opted to be silent by saying “she is going to keep her mouth shut”.
Here’s the statement she said during a segment on The Buzz:

Eat, Pray, Love… Chuva’s Review
I wasn’t exactly floored by the movie. Yes, the scenery was nice. I mean, Bali and Italy for crying out loud. I would like to visit India one day only to see the Taj Mahal.
I’ve been to Italy several times and I must say, the experience I had there was absolutely fantastic and you can’t help but enjoy the masterpiece of the greatest artists in the world with the added taste of gelato and pizza. I would say that you will be awed by its beauty. This movie might make you want to go to Italy and for that credit alone, you should go see it. But don’t expect too much out of the whole film.
I wished I had read the book or maybe it was good that I didn’t read the book. If the book was anywhere near the film, I wouldn’t want to read it anymore. Julia Roberts’ star power couldn’t pull of the great story that the book must have had. I felt that the story weren’t strewn together well. There’s no flow and it didn’t even seem to point you to the plot that it obviously was intended for. I just didn’t feel the vibe of the movie. I wasn’t emotionally affected like I expected. I didn’t feel as if the movie had the power to affect me as a person like the movie trailer implied.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed. If you don’t want to pay $11.00 to see this movie – I would suggest for you to wait for it to come out on DVD. At least it’t not going to hurt that much if you feel the movie wasn’t all it’s cooked up to be.

Do you remember Phillip Markoff, the Craiglist killer? He committed suicide today. I’m not sure if the family of his alleged victim will be relieved by this news or if it would feel as if justice was stolen from them.
It really doesn’t make sense how these people with a bright future ahead of them could do such things.
