Chuva Chienes joins Oprah in supporting John Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity on October 30th
Just like Oprah Winfrey, I lend my support to Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity on October 30th in Washington, D.C. While I may be a bit disappointed with several promises made by President Barack Obama during the campaign that he hasn’t followed through with, I am still a supporter of the administration.
The mess left for President Obama to fix was so huge. I felt that regardless of who and which party took control of the White House under the circumstances that President Obama did, you will be damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
So, it’s time to stop complaining and start doing. I am going to vote on November 2nd and I am going to vote Democrat. YES, DEMOCRAT. I am registered as an independent but with the likes of Christine O’ Donnell on the ballots and Teabaggers pushing their candidates that aren’t making me feel any better – I would rather stay with what I know.
Let’s go out there and vote people. We need to restore the sanity. Did you know that the candidates who are using the Stimulus Bill as an excuse and turning it into something negative in their campaigns are the ones who were the first to ask for more money for the states that they represent? How could you blame everything to the Stimulus Bill when you are asking for more money and campaigning to stop spending? Ridiculous right?
So to all my readers – - let’s support the Democratic party. We can win this. Go out and vote. And if you’re in Washington, DC and surrounding states – support the Rally to Restore Sanity on October 30th!
