A recent response by Carrie Fisher (well-known for her role on Star Wars as Princess Leia) to gay magazine The Advocate when questioned about John Travolta‘s lawyers attacking Gawker.com because of published reports that John Travolta is gay, have fueled the rumor and is now the talk of the town.
The question posted by The Advocate interviewer was:
“I know you and Travolta go way back, so let’s get really blunt here: Does his (Travolta’s) legal team have any business demanding Gawker remove a recent post suggesting that he’s given **** jobs?”
Carrie Fisher quickly responded with this statement:
“Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”
The Advocate also notes that in 2009 Fisher gave this statement for a piece about 10 Things gay men should know about women: “We don’t really care that John Travolta is gay.
The post at Gawker.com was so detailed from the author Robert Randolph who wrote the book entitled: You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again.
If the rumor is out there – – it could be true right? Note that John Travolta is a member of the Church of Scientology which believes that homosexuals can be cured.
Who do you believe in this case? If you remember, Rock Hudson was known to be a gay man in Hollywood circles but no one really let the cat out of the bag until he announced having aids. Could this be another Hollywood Circles-Only secret?
According to the post at Gawker.com:
Speaking of never coming out, it’s doubtful Travolta ever will—especially considering he has a pregnant wife and is devoted to an anti-gay “religious” group. According to Randolph, though, it’s hardly a secret. “Everyone in LA knows.”
