They said that it is a pre-cursor to the Oscars. Whatever happens at the Golden Globes is usually the same trend that occurs during the Oscars.

Now that it has been confirmed that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are no longer an item, it’s time for me to move in! The two have been dating since 2006 when they met during the filming of “High School Musical”. According to reports, the relationship simply ran its course and the two have decided to still remain friends.

Poor guy. Hugh Jackman’s face hit a pole while doing a stunt on the Oprah Winfrey show being taped in Australia at the moment. Hugh Jackman was supposed to slide down a cable while waving to fans but he got too excited about the crowd that he forgot to brake on time before hitting the pole at the end of the cable ride.
He’s okay now except for a bandage over his eye.
Oprah is in Australia right now filming “Ultimate Australian Adventure” from the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

I was to pick the winner for Best Actress in the upcoming Oscars, I would pick Natalie Portman for Black Swan.
I watched the movie with my BFF today and I was nothing but mesmerized and captivated with Natalie Portman’s portrayal of Nina. A real actress doesn’t have to say anything to convey the emotions they are trying to emulate. With her flawless dance moves and serious Oscar-worthy performance, I am betting that she will take home the Oscar barring no other movies come out with someone better. Even if someone did, I would still say that she’s right up there.
To date – - there is still no one she has to contend with. Let’s see.

Rhema Marvanne 7-year old wonder as part of 20/20′s 7 Wonders (Video)
If you watched 20/20 last night featuring 7 Wonders – a story about 7 unique individuals who have unique talents – you may have caught a glimpse of Rhema Marvanne. She is a 7-year old girl with an angelic voice. That is not the whole story though. Her mom died from ovarian cancer when she was very young. The disease was not hidden from Rhema and she was there every step of the way until her mom’s passing in 2008.
Her mom, Wendi Marvanne loved gospel music. She used to read the bible to Rhema when she was growing up and at times they would do role-playing using biblical characters. You can tell that Rhema’s mom was filled with God’s love and you can’t help but be touched by her courage and her infinite joy even after learning that she has cancer.

Friends Richard Herrera and Richard Hardin finished first in the last leg of the Asian franchise of the popular reality show from the makers of Survivor.
The two Richards, who were both raised in the United States, bested nine other teams, including the other Philippine team—Fil-Australians Jess and Lani, who finished in fourth place.
In the final leg, Richard Herrera, a model, and Richard Hardin, a basketball player, went up against the teams from Singapore (friends Claire and Michelle) and Indonesia (father-and-daughter Hussein and Natasha).

Westboro Baptist Church says it will picket Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral – Why they call themselves Christians, I don’t know.
The people from Westboro Baptist Church, known for their demonstrations against homosexuals and Jews among others, are planning on picketing “a respectable distance” from Elizabeth Edwards’ funeral on Saturday at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC according to their website.
Why are they picketing? The members of this group (I will not call them Christians) stated that they are doing this because Elizabeth Edwards failed to recognize God through her struggles which includes her battle with cancer and her son’s death at the age of 16-years old.
Elizabeth Edwards died last Tuesday after a 6-year battle with breast cancer.

Snooki, the most famous of all the Jersey Shore Cast members is going to be dropped…. literally. She will go inside the New Year’s Ball that will drop on December 31, 2010 in New York City’s Time Square for MTV’s New Year’s Bash. Don’t confuse it with the same ball that drops every year… nope, that’s not it.
I have received an invitation to spend New Year’s in New York City and I’m still wondering if I should take the offer. With the news the Snooki will be dropped on New Year’s Eve.. I may just take it up.

The one thing I don’t understand about this whole thing is that knowing you are a celebrity doesn’t hinder them from taking nude photos of themselves. I guess it comes with the territory. If you’re an actor or an actress – there could be a role somewhere in your future that will call for nudity. What are you going to say to that? No? Probably not.

More sad news: National Enquirer reports Aretha Franklin has pancreatic cancer.
It’s hard to take bad news right after another. After we’ve learned of Elizabeth Edwards’ passing yesterday due to breast cancer, we are now hearing that Aretha Franklin (The Queen of Soul) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A cancer so grave that people who normally get it only has a 5-10% chances of survival.
The National Enquirer reported that the Queen of Soul underwent surgery last week for an “unknown illness”, have canceled all her appearances all the way to May of 2011.
HIV Positive Porn Star known as Patient Zeta comes out. He is Derrick Burts aka Derek Chambers and Cameron Reid.
Derrick Burts, a 24-year old porn star for both straight and gay porn has now identified himself as the HIV+ porn star usually referred to as Patient Zeta when the news broke out. He has performed as Derek Chambers in gay films and as Cameron Reid in straight films.
He decided to come out because he said that performers must be educated about this problem. The Los Angeles Times has written a piece about him.
The adult film performer who tested HIV-positive at a San Fernando Valley clinic this fall spoke out for the first time yesterday, calling for mandatory condom use in porn productions, improved testing for sexually transmitted disease and follow-up care for fellow performers.
Derrick Burts, 24, said he tested HIV-positive in October at the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation in Sherman Oaks after working in both gay and straight porn films for a few months. He had previously been identified only as Patient Zeta.

This is the surprise I get whenever I watch Oprah. I have been sick the past couple of days and I have not been able to watch my recorded shows. I just watched the Oprah Show from yesterday and it featured a family from New Jersey (Hellooooo!!!) whom Michael Jackson visited for over 25 years. He spent holidays there, spent his spare time there and even recorded music down their basement!
Can you friggin believe this? I was shocked! When they showed footage of Michael Jackson in their home and showed photographs from their home, I was like – - no way! How could this family have kept this a secret for 25 years?!
