Whether you like politics or not or whether you love Sarah Palin or not, you know that she has a voice that many people listen to. She can tweet a statement and cause an uproar and every comment or Facebook posting she posts becomes part of the evening news.
Why? Because they know that with her influence, she may run for the highest position in government in 2012 – The President of the United States.
Target completion of bathroom remodeling: Spring 2011
It’s been over a year since I started working on my bathroom. It started out with the paint peeling off the walls because of the steam that was caused by the dryer. After a while, the paint on the walls had to be scraped and boy, I didn’t know how much work had to be done since I started.
Even after I’ve completed the painting, something still seems to be missing and I cannot seem to accomplish the task of completing the bathroom renovation. But I’m not giving up just yet. I have put so much hard work in re-doing the bathroom that I wanted to finally finish it before Spring this year.
I was trying to get ideas because my bathroom is very small and there are no windows. On top of that, the washer-dryer is in the bathroom as well so space is really limited. I looked online and browsed through several websites to get an idea on what would look great in such a small bathroom considering the space I have to work with. One website I looked at was www.betterbathrooms.com and I did get some ideas on whether I should put a pedestal sink or a full vanity sink. Just because the bathroom is small doesn’t mean that I can’t put a full vanity in there. The only question is: Do I really want a vanity.
I wanted to modernize the bath as well so I am looking for fixtures and a vanity that are space-conscious and not too expensive.
Spring is the target! Wish me luck on this one!
Fogo de Chão – a treat after a successful project. Yummm. Can’t wait!
Well, well, well. Thank goodness for a successful implementation of a very long project last month. It was a painful project as it had to do with global data coming into one database and standardizing data from several different systems was a task we thought we will never complete. We have completed it (partially) and it’s going to be an ongoing task but as a team, we were able to manage it and deliver the product timely.
Guess what? As a treat to the team, we are going to have dinner at Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse. Would you believe that the first churrascaria steakhouse I went to was actually in Brazil? (I neglected to remember that the first time I had churrascaria was in Philadelphia with Reyna Elena at BRAZIL restaurant which has closed already). It was actually my second time when I went to Brazil. And it was not one of these fancy ones but rather one off the streets and it was delish!!! It’s a dining experience where you get introduced to different types of bbq meat in a sword. A waiter walks around and goes to your table to give you a slice of the meat he is offering if you are interested. This goes on until you tell them to stop.

TMZ reports that the alleged mistress of Ashton Kutcher is back and just won’t drop the rumor that Ashton Kutcher had an affair with her. She claims that the sweater was given to her by Ashton Kutcher after spending the night with her. Hmmmmmm.
It was put on sale back in December with a starting bid of $500.00 and bidding went up to $21,000 but Ebay pulled the listing because it didn’t have the “cleaning disclaimer” – (I know this well because I used to sell on Ebay).
Lo and behold, she received an email from Ebay stating that the listing has now been restored.
Here’s a piece of the description from the listing:
This sweater was given to me after spending the night with Ashton. I no longer have any attachment to this sweater and I am hoping someone else will enjoy it.
The sweater is mens Marc Jacobs 100% Cashmere Size Large Perfect Condition Has not been washed, but can be washed if buyer would prefer.
With a claim like that, I wonder if Mrs. Kutcher have asked the question and if so, I wonder what Mr. Kutcher’s answer was?

Ryan Murphy denied rumors that they will have an episode dedicated to Justin Bieber.
He has said in a statement to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton that:
“Glee is not doing a Justin Bieber tribute episode. We are not doing any more of those this season
“Those are reserved for artists with a big catalog, a la Madonna and Britney, etc.”
He did confirm however that they will have a Justin Bieber song in an upcoming episode but that’s about it.
“We are doing an episode where Sam sings a JB song to win Quinn back, and copies his hairstyle. But it’s a small part of a big episode that has a lot of other things going on.”
So, JB haters – - relax. And JB lovers – - so sorry.

People scrambling to find out if the reported March 15th shutdown of the most popular social network in the world is true or a hoax.
The website that published the report has received over seven thousand comments from the weird to the downright nasty.
In the report, it said:
“Facebook has gotten out of control,” said Zuckerberg in a press conference outside his Palo Alto office, “and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”

Sarah Palin probably meant nothing by it. A regular gun-loving person could probably use shooting metaphors without any repercussions. If you’re gay, you can say metaphors that are gay-related to friends and it probably won’t cause a stir. Totally different platforms.
Now, Sarah Palin has been receiving a lot of flack regarding the campaign she used way back during the election called “Take Back the 20″ where she presented a map with crosshairs together with the names of elected individuals from conservative districts whom she wanted to target for removal (voted out) because they voted for healthcare reform. Gabrielle Giffords was one of them. The website has been taken down after the Arizona shooting but the Facebook Page is still up.

When you’re lucky, you’re lucky. Youtube has definitely made many people lucky in the past several years. The list includes Charice, Justin Bieber, Greyson Chance and Susan Boyle.
Another sensation was Ted Williams, the homeless man captured on video by someone and posted on Youtube. He was referred to as “the man with the golden voice” and since the video catapulted him to fame last week, he has been hired by Kraft to do a voice over for their mac and cheese commercial. The commercial is scheduled to air this Sunday on the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Say it isn’t so. John Edwards reportedly engaged to mistress Rielle Hunter.
If the rumor is true that John Edwards is now engaged to his mistress Rielle Hunter as being reported by the National Enquirer, John Edwards would probably be the most-hated man in the US if not the world.
Just days after Elizabeth Edwards will and testament was released indicating that John Edwards have been written-off from it, the National Enquirer reports that the engagement happened three weeks after Elizabeth Edwards was buried. Wow! That’s guts I tell ‘ya!
Yeah, Elizabeth left zilch to John Edwards. She left everything to her children.
Of course, we’re taking this report with a grain of salt because included in the report is that Rielle has now been introduced to John’s children and that she was quick to command the kids to “call me mommy”. That would be so callous and insensitive of both of them if the reports are true.
The Edwards camp has so far denied the rumors.

What would explain this one now? More than 1,000 turtle doves fall from the sky in Italy in latest mass bird death case
Faenza, a town in Northern Italy has reported more than 1,000 turtle doves have fallen from the sky. The largest of this phenomena reported of its kind in Europe.
I’ve read many postings, blogs, online newspapers, and other news sites that tells us of the occurrence but I could barely find a scientific explanations being considered as “exactly the reason” for this ongoing “birds falling from the sky” mystery.
Not out of the woods yet. 40,000 dead crabs washed up on Kent coastline as UK is latest country to be hit by bizarre animal deaths
Mirror News has added to the strange phenomenon occurring around the globe today.
More than 40,000 Devil crabs – also known as Velvet swimming crabs – were found strewn along beaches in Thanet along with dead starfish, lobsters, sponges and anemones.
Experts believe the crabs died from hypothermia after the UK’s coldest Deecember in 120 years.
All we are hearing from authorities or experts are speculations. No one has really come forward to explain these worldwide occurrences. They refer to it as “unexplained”.
What happened to the bird samples taken in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Sweden? Are “experts” looking at it? Could there be a global conspiracy going on?
What’s more interesting is that the search for a biblical reference to what is happening today has surged.
They are more than likely looking for the verse from Zephaniah, Chapter 1, Verse 3:
3 “I will sweep away both man and beast;
I will sweep away the birds in the sky
and the fish in the sea—
and the idols that cause the wicked to stumble.”
I am still waiting for a solid explanation from the said experts. I believe the people want a clear explanation as well.

James Franco is very well known for being outspoken and fun. He will be hosting the Oscars with Anne Hathaway. He may be up for a nomination for his film, 127 Hours.
One thing that wasn’t clear to many is his sexuality. He’s played many gay roles and seem to be comfortable in his own skin. He doesn’t deny or admit that he’s gay but is known to have dated girls in the past. But should we even wonder? If he’s okay with liking guys and girls – - who are we to judge?

The actor definitely doesn’t let the speculation inhibit his choice of roles; Franco’s filmography is packed with gay characters, from Allen Ginsberg in Howl, to activist Scott Smith in Milk and poet Hart Crane in his just-wrapped feature The Broken Tower. “There are lots of other reasons to be interested in gay characters than wanting myself to go out and have sex with guys,” he says. “And there are also lots of other aspects about these characters that I’m interested in, in addition to their sexuality. I have yet to see any of his films playing a gay character. The closest I’ve seen is this video of James Franco making out with himself.

Many visitors flocked my blog when it was announced that Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift were reportedly dating. To this day, I still get a lot of traffic from that post.
I wonder if this post about the “report” that Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift break up will have the same effect.
It’s unfortunate. I thought they were a cute couple but Taylor is young. They did have a good time dating but it just doesn’t seem like it was meant to last. They did spend Thanksgiving together but has not been seen in public since then. “They’re over. It ended last month.”, according to the source.
Well, you can’t have it all. Wishing both Jake and Taylor the best. Sometimes, two beautiful people just aren’t meant to be together. At least there’s one good news that came out of this! Jake is single again and I have every chance in the world to become his boyfriend… LOL!

Just like one of my favorite bloggers used to say, F*** me with a fruitcake! Why is it that winners of the Mega Millions are always turning up from remote areas somewhere. The two winners are from Idaho and Washington State with each getting $170 something million each. I have bought tickets time and again when the Mega Millions or Power Ball jackpot have exceeded $100 Million and never once have I seen a winner from where I come from.

When I saw the tweet from HuffPost this morning about dead birds falling from the sky in Sweden, I was stunned. What is this about now? So I read the article when I got in the office. It was more frightening than I had imagined.
Now, it has been reported that there were millions of dead fish found on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, New Zealand and Brazil. 50 birds found dead in Sweden.

Is the end near? More dead birds fall from the sky in Louisiana (VIDEO)
Just within days after over 1,000 dead red-winged black birds were found in Arkansas, about 500 blackbirds and starlings have been found in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.
What is going on??? Wouldn’t you want to start to believe that there is more to it than this? Could it be biological warfare testing being performed by the government as conspiracy theorists believe? Or is it simply a random event that happens all the time?
Craigslist Killer Movie to Premiere Tonight [VIDEO TRAILER]
Twitter is buzzing tonight about the premiere of the TV movie “The Craigslist Killer“. If you remember, this is a story of a handsome medical student named Phillip Markoff. He had a very promising future and engaged to be married. However, he was charged on the murder of Julissa Brisman, a masseuse whom he met through the popular online ad site “Craigslist”
His fiancee initially stood by him but later broke off the engagement. Markoff was found dead in his cell back in August after committing suicide.

I have nothing to blog today. I am just searching the web for interesting stuff. I am kind of staying away from celebrities for now since I am celeb’d out! I was looking at Top 20 Yahoo Searches and found “Diane Sawyer Red Carpet” trending and didn’t know why. While searching for anything that has to do with Diane Sawyer on the red carpet, I found this video.
The video is a surprise greeting for Diane Sawyer’s 65th birthday from her colleagues at ABC studio. They told her that there is a major news breaking and started with “The moment I wake up….” – - the rest was warm and sweet.
I thought it was just my iPhone. iPhone Alarm Glitch Failed Many People
When my iPhone alarm didn’t go off the first time that I set it, I figured that it doesn’t have the alarm capabilities that my Blackberry had. So, I just never used it as an alarm to wake me up every day. However, I just found out that it’s supposed to function like a regular alarm just like any other smart phone. But there is a glitch. Apple said that they are aware of the issue.
Thousands of dead birds fall from the sky in Arkansas (VIDEO)
I was shocked when I got this from someone I was following on Twitter. I was curious so I clicked on his link and found that video below.
Many people awoke in Beebe, Arkansas on New Year’s Day finding dead birds all over the roads, rooftops and lawns. The dead birds are mostly red-winged blackbirds and no one has identified for sure what caused the birds to fall from the sky.

I first read about the story on Towleroad.com and watched the raunchy video from there. At first, people thought that it was “not a big deal” and said that “sailors are at sea months at a time and need entertainment”. But then, after several news media outlets aired the video that aired at aircraft carrier USS Enterprise’s closed-circuit video system to approx. 6,000 service men and women, the Navy now says that the video was “clearly inappropriate”.
Zsa Zsa Gabor back in LA hospital to have leg partially amputated
The Associated Press has reported that famous Hungarian-born actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, 93 was taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to have a part of her leg amputated. It was confirmed by her publicist, John Blanchette that a growing lesion on her leg has been examined and would require the surgery.
Gabor has previously been hospitalized when she broke her hip back in July and had even requested a priest to read her last rites sometime the month after.
We wish her well.
Usual Suspects star Pete Postlethwaite dies
According to Reuters, Oscar-nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite has died at the age of 64.
Oscar-nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite passed away on Sunday due to complications from cancer. He was 64. A representative for Mr. Postlethwaite confirmed his passing in Shropshire, western England.
Mr. Postlethwaite earned an Oscar nomination for his work in In the Name of the Father, but may be best remembered for his role as Kobayashi in The Usual Suspects. Though cancer had caused him to work less frequently in recent months, this year he appeared in Clash of the Titans, Inception, and The Town, the latter being a particularly fierce turn. His weathered, craggy visage meant that he’d never be a leading man, but Postlethwaite’s amazing face, combined with great talent, allowed him to become one of the most recognizable and effective character actors in the business.
Pete Postlethwaite is survived by his wife Jacqui and two children Will, 21, and daughter Lily, 14.
