I vividly remember the time when Ferdinand E. Marcos and his family fled the Philippines arriving in Hawaii on exile on February 26, 1986. It was when Filipinos took to the streets and rejoiced when they heard the news that the Marcoses have fled the country.
In the same manner and the same month, Egyptians roared in jubilation today when it was announced by Vice President Suleiman that President Hosni Mubarak has given up power and has left the country and have handed power to a military council.
You may all remember the crowd in Manila when it was announced that President Marcos and his family have left the country, and I can probably assure you that you remember exactly what you were doing when you heard the news. It was the revolution that inspired the world.
But the revolution didn’t change the Philippines and the country struggled and to this day continues to struggle. What’s important to most Filipinos is that we are now free from dictatorship. Being free from dictatorship however didn’t mean free from corruption, poverty and strife.

Lady Gaga has been promoting her new release, “Born This Way” to her Little Monsters through Twitter. She has released the lyrics on Twitter to get her fans excited….
Twitter trends showed #bornthiswayfriday on top a couple of days ago and without a doubt, this new release will shoot up to the top of the charts.
The song was supposed to premiere on Sunday when she performs the song at the Grammy’s but of course, her fans mean a lot to her so she decided to release the single a couple days early.
Akon said that this surely will be a dance floor winner.

Well, maybe because of the fact that Phil Younghusband, Askalz football player has asked Angel Locsin for a date on Valentine’s Day.

Googleoke? Get ready Karaoke fans… at least that’s what the website said.
The rollout probably will start in Brazil, as it already had… Visit Googleoke.com.br but I don’t really get it just yet. Cause when you play the links, it’s a .wav file with words.. but I don’t know how you would call this karaoke. I was expecting an accompaniment of popular songs. The only song I can recognize from that site is Lady Gaga’s Poker Face. But even that didn’t have much to it but the background music and a garbled translation of the lyrics.
So, why is this trending on Twitter in Rio, Brazil? I have no idea. I am not even sure if this site is related to Google.com…

Hot male models would be great advertising for Mich Dulce don’t you think?
It’s very nice to know that there is a Filipina hat designer who has and is really doing well. I remember when she won the IYFE Green Goblet Award in 2010 in London.
She is regularly featured on Chuvaness’ blog and rightfully so. Mich Dulce is one who has made a name for herself.
So, in thinking of that – I just saw this spread at The Fashionisto featuring designer hats by Giuliano Bekor. It caught my attention because it featured semi-naked men wearing the couture female hats. What a brilliant idea, I thought.
With all the hunky male Brazilian models in Manila like Daniel Matsunaga or the likes of Neil Etheridge from the Askalz (hey, David Beckham transcended from football player to male model!), we could surely gather up a few male models with a perfect physique (we can even include Gerald Anderson and Aljur Abrenica for that matter) and showcase the couture hats that Mich Dulce creates. Buzzing on Twitter today: President Mubarak of Egypt to resign tonight.
NBC News is reporting that Egyptian President Mubarak have finally agreed to respond to the demands of the protesters and will step down as early as tonight according to CIA Chief Leon Panetta.
There are threats that the protesters will march all the way to the Presidential Palace and it may have been the cause of the Mubarak’s decision.
One thing that is unclear here is if the transition to current Vice President Suleiman will go as smoothly as intended. Still developing…

New iPhone Confession App that was Approved by the Vatican has now been banned. (VIDEO)
It’s funny how I just saw this on the news last night and I think it was ABC news when they introduced the app, it was mentioned that “and… it was approved by the Vatican”. It is an iPhone App created by two priests and according to the priest being interviewed, it is really not an app to replace confession but rather a way to prepare someone before they go to confession.
The app costs (yes, it does cost something) $1.99 to utilize and it includes prayers and the format of going into confession. It has a check list on what you’ve done to your neighbors and such.
The people interviewed last night laughed at the idea and said if one is going to go to confession (wholeheartedly), they would go to church and enter the confessional. They wouldn’t look to their iPhone to prepare themselves.

Imagine, a handsome Rep. Chris Lee topping Twitter Trends this evening after a report from Gawker.com presented photos of a shirtless Rep. Chris Lee was posted this afternoon. According to Gawker.com, they received a tip from a woman who apparently had an email correspondence with Chris Lee via Craigslist.com after he responded to an ad under “Women for Men” category. He apparently introduced himself as a divorced lobbyist. The congressman sent a photo of him, topless and with flexed biceps.
Major Airlines to offer Free Wi-Fi Access to access Facebook while in flight.
Are you one of those people who can’t wait to update your Facebook status when traveling? I personally don’t but I’m sure many people do. Some people I know changes their status every time they fart so I’m sure someone will benefit from this.
According to Mashable, Gogo Inflight Internet and Ford have teamed up to offer free wi-fi access during the month of February but will only allow access to Facebook. If you need to access something else other than Facebook, then you will have to pay a fee starting at $4.95 and depends on the duration of the flight, you may have to pay more.
Since most of the games are outside of Facebook and if that is the reason why you access Facebook, then you may have to pay a fee. But if you want to post an inflight photo and change your status on Facebook – then it’s free.
Major airlines include AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, U.S. Airways and Virgin America.
So, remember if you are flying any of these airlines – - – it’s free for the month of February — with the hopes that you will enjoy it so much that the next time you fly, you will pay the fee to access the internet.
We’ll see how this goes.
Chuvahotness #33 – Askalz (Philippine Football Team) – Neil Leonard Dula Etheridge
The most recent win of Philippine Askalz versus Mongolia Blue Wolves just re-ignited Filipinos with their love for football. Whether you like it or not, football is here to stay. With recent the recent popularity of FIFA World Cup, I can assure you that the Philippines will have the chance to someday play the World Cup if given the proper training and funding.
With the rise of interest in the Philippine Football Team, comes the rise of fans for individual players as well. I, for one have a crush on Phil Younghusband. My kumadre, likes Neil Etheridge and so do I. That’s the one thing I am about men, I have a wide range of taste. Both Phil Younghusband and Neil Etheridge fall inside that range. LOL! Since I featured Phil Younghusband on our Chuvahotness Series – - I was politely asked by my kumadre to feature Neil Etheridge as well….
So, who is Neil Etheridge?
Here’s a brief introduction from Wikipedia:
Neil Leonard Dula Etheridge was born in Enfield Town on February 7, 1990 (21-years old to be exact!) , in the London Borough of Enfield to an English father and a Filipina mother who is originally from Tarlac.He took up the sport of football at the age of nine and attended Court Moor School in Fleet, Hampshire where he also represented Hampshire Schools and the Aldershot & Farnborough district teams.

Philippine Azkals beat Mongolia Blue Wolves, 2-0
Hmmmm. I think I can now marry Phil Younghusband. (You all know I’ve married several cuties in the past year including Darren Criss, Taylor Lautner, Scott Herman, and Lucas Gil) He’s a certified celebrity now together with the whole Azkals Football Team after beating the Mongolia Blue Wolves, 2-0.
What is so interesting to me is the much growing interest of Filipinos in football. For many years, basketball have been our game and it’s embedded in our culture so deep that one guy, Rafe Bartholomew wrote about the Philippines and Filipinos’ love of basketball.
I think this is a great thing. Even PNoy supports our football team. He recently released P3M right from his social fund for this match.

Queen Rania of Jordan accused of corruption by Tribesmen
Tribesmen in Amman, Jordan have recently broken their silence and spoke up against the Royals of Jordan (punishable by law) when they issued a letter criticizing Queen Rania saying, “her sycophants and the power centers that surround her” are dividing Jordanians and “stealing from the country and the people.”
Wow! I have seen Queen Rania (wife of King Abdullah II) of Jordan on Oprah. I think she’s been a guest to Oprah twice and I saw both shows. She seems very endearing and well-educated. She’s very much involved in a lot of charities and had a visible presence internationally.
These are all happening because of the crisis that is going on in Egypt. People are gaining the strength to speak up about their leaders and Queen Rania is one of those who were targeted stating, “We call on the king to return to the treasury land and farms given to the Yassin family (of the queen). The land belongs to the Jordanian people,” in a statement signed by 36 tribal leaders.
Oh No! Jets QB Mark Sanchez allegedly “hooked up” with 17-year E. K… What is up with that?
24-year old Mark Sanchez, QB for The Jets was named as the person whom a 17-year old E. K. “hooked up” with according to Deadspin. A photo of the bed was posted on Facebook to prove the “huddle” last year.
E. K. is known to be a daughter of a wealthy financier who received $48 million in bonuses and severance package inn 2000? Wow! That’s a lot of money. I wonder if he’s going to get E.K. to join the “You’re Cut Off!” reality show after this news.
Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet will join the Glee Live! In Concert! Tour this summer
I’m sure all you Gleeks already know this but I thought I’d mention it anyway. The 13 member cast of Glee will go on their tour again this spring starting May 21st and visit 16 North American cities. The Glee Live! In Concert! Tour includes newcomers Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet. Yeah, I thought you will have that reaction.
Okay! Now that you’ve taken a deep breath, I know that you would like to find out when the cast will perform at your nearest concert venue right? Here’s the scoop. Lea Michele (Rachel) , Cory Monteith (Finn) , Amber Riley (Mercedes) , Chris Colfer (Kurt) , Kevin McHale (Artie) , Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) , Mark Salling (Puck) Dianna Argon (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) will continue with the tour and it’s an all-new production.

When life hands you lemons….. Hayden Fragrances. Interesting.
This is why I admire humanity. The gift of resilience is visible everywhere. Just a little over two years ago while I was visiting Manila when the Hayden Kho Scandal broke out. It was the talk of the country. Every person I knew and met during my trip had the videos on their cell phones. The scandal dragged on up to the point where Hayden Kho’s medical license was revoked.
I have seen Hayden Kho on television during an interview and he was in pain as he cried and I felt the sincerity of his remorse. One could only know what it feels like to do something really bad and be exposed to the public (more so, the world). It was not a very easy time for him and many would probably say that he deserved it. He may have deserved it and yes, he was remorseful.
I so want to be at Prince William’s bachelor party!
How do Royals celebrate Bachelor’s party? Do they throw diamonds out to the strippers? What about booze? Do they booze up like regular people?
One will never know unless you are part of Prince William‘s inner circle or a friend of his best mate Guy Pelly.
Wouldn’t it be a hoot to be a fly on the wall with a handheld cam during this so-called Bachelor’s party? Imagine the payday that this fly would get from tabloids?! It would be a massive payday I tell you.
