Less than 24 hours after ATDHE.NET Domain ICE Seizure, it emerges as ATDHENET.TV
This is an interesting case of Good Cop – Bad Cop and it’s kinda crazy how this is unfolding. There are certain locals laws as well as international ones that hold in most countries with regards to the internet. All I know is that the servers for ATDHE.NET are located in the UK. However, just yesterday – ATDHE.NET was shutdown by Homeland Security as they had said in the past, in order to crackdown on websites that are sharing copyrighted materials over the web to “address the growing problem of online piracy and counterfeiting.”
Well, yesterday ATDHE.NET was shutdown as it was one of the sites listed as a target of complaints from major sports organizations filed petitions to be taken down. ATDHE.NET was trending on Twitter yesterday afternoon after the site was seized by Homeland Security and thousands of fans expressed their discontent over the seizure.

Journalism is dangerous work. It’s not something to take lightly. And if you are a professional and highly-sought after journalist like Anderson Cooper, you better prepare yourself to travel into the world’s most dangerous news-making places.
I mean, our sweet little Anderson was in Haiti during the earthquake crisis and you actually watch him save a boy from the looting warzones.
Now this. According to a tweet posted by George Hale, Anderson Cooper attacked while reporting from Cairo. Here’s the tweet:
We must applaud these journalists for the work that they do to make sure that we witness what’s going on in the world. They put their lives in danger for you and I to fully understand the world we live in.
Take care Anderson! I read that he’s okay. Violence is expected to escalate as pro-Mubarak supporters clash against the protesters.

Call it luck, call it fortune. Heck, you can call it “right-time; right-place” and whatever else you want to call it. Darren Criss is everywhere these days and he’s loving it.
He is the recent cover of Prestige Magazine. You know that I fell in love with him very early on when he appeared on Glee. Looking on Youtube, I fell in love with him even more when I saw a video of him singing Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World”. That was it! I intended to marry him from then on.
The uber lucky Glee star is enjoying his immediate rise to fame, thanks to Glee. He said that he is usually not clean-cut like you see him on Glee and usually lets his beard grow for days. I like him clean-cut though because some of his old Youtube videos didn’t look as attractive as he is now.

Glee’s Lea Michele is all over the news lately. She’s at the top of her game! Not only will she be performing for this year’s Super Bowl singing America the Beautiful, she’s also on the cover of Cosmopolitan. She joins Christina Aguilera who will be singing the National Anthem and The Blackeyed Peas who will be performing at half-time.
Next week on February 6th, Glee kicks off with an excellent episode which Darren Criss calls “first 10 minutes will be insane” episode. So Gleeks – - get your DVRs ready if you can’t watch it real time but surely, next week’s episode is one to watch.

I am not into and will never be into S&M (TMI!!!!). Rihanna released her S & M Video which has received over 2 million views on Youtube already as of this writing. I guess it’s either people are secretly enticed with S&M or they just really love Rihanna. Hopefully it’s the latter. LOL!

It pays to be pessimistic at times. Punxsutawney Phil predicts an early spring. Really?

I’ve said in my post about the predictions of Punxsutawney Phil and that ever since I came to the US, the world-famous rodent had always seen his shadow. It’s pretty much expected year-after-year. So, I was very pessimistic this year as well.
But this time, after 98 consecutive times that he’s seen his shadow, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow!! Really? Since 1887, there has been only 15 times that the rodent did not see his shadow and predicted an early spring.
Well, I wouldn’t know how that feels because I have not been around in the last 15 times that he predicted an early spring. I’m excited today just because I experienced it in my lifetime.

Monster snowstorm still being projected for Chicago. It has already began in Texas and is predicted to paralyze Chicago, IL. With record-breaking amounts of snow across the United States, most of the residents including Chuva wants out of this climate already. They are calling for blizzard-like conditions with snow accumulating between 2-3 inches per hour!!!

ATDHE.NET was taken down for copyright infringement, Homeland Security seizes domain. Does this serve as a warning to other sites as well?
Update: The site is back under ATDHE.ME temporarily.
ATDHE.NET was a great source for many people who either don’t have access to cable or do have access but either mobile and not at home to watch their favorite games. The viewers according to Alexa are mostly single males watching the game from school or at home. Most of the male viewers are college-educated as well.
ATDHE.NET have provided free viewing of Live Sports and Television to many users around the globe who would neither have no access because the game is occurring in a different country or not televised locally. ATDHE.NET claims that they don’t host any of the videos but rather provide online streaming links that are available on the web.
Today, the domain was taken over by Homeland Security and have now been blocked due to a take down notice filed by the copyright owners of UFC, Zuffa LLC, NBA, and Football Association Premier League.

Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow on Groundhog Day 2011?
I guess there are many reasons why I moved back from the West Coast to the East Coast. I enjoyed my stay in Los Angeles and I will never forget the memories that I had while I was there but there were a few things that I missed about the east coast while living west and one of them is Groundhog Day when Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction about winter on February 2nd.
