Philippine Football Team Azkals Beat Bangladesh Advancing to AFC Challenge Cup Finals

I’m so excited! Azkals made it to the AFC Challenge Cup Finals after beating Bangladesh. Phil Younghusband, Anton del Rosario and Neil Etheridge were providing snippets on Twitter as the game was progressing, all the way to the win.
Now that it is official that Filipinos are in love with football, initiatives to help our team succeed should follow. Many Filipinos around the globe support the Philippine Azkals.
Azkals win, advance to AFC Challenge Cup finals
MANILA, Philippines – Needing a performance worthy of their reputation, the Philippine Azkals stood up and delivered.
The national football team, its back against the wall, demolished Bangladesh, 3-0, as it etched another historic mark in the Asian Football Confederation Challenge Cup group stage qualifying last night at the Aung San Stadium in Rangoon, Myanmar.
Before a tiny group of flag-waving Filipino fans, Ian Araneta ended his scoring slump with an ice breaker before Filipino-Spanish standout Angel Aldeguer Guirado struck twice in the second half as the Filipinos advanced to the finals of the prestigious tournament for the first time since its establishment in 2006.

I know I told you this but I was contacted by Brazil’s Department of Tourism. I guess I blog about Brazil so much, they wanted to show me their appreciation.
At first I thought that it was a scam, but when I checked out the website – it was legit. They told me that they wanted to share a few things with me, including a Travel Guide and vacation stuff.

There are many critics saying that turning off the lights for an hour is not enough to make a significant effect on Global Warming. I disagree totally with the critics on that matter.
The purpose of Earth Hour (at least for me) is to create awareness. Awareness to save energy, awareness to turn of power when not in use, conserve fuel and sot forth. Earth Hour for me has become a reminder every year whether I am doing my best to change my lifestyle in helping to have a better world by fighting climate change. Last year, I celebrated Earth Hour with friends and we had a blast. View our photos here from two years ago when we started participating.

Like I stated, the trailer was due to come out this week – and now, it has. It reminds me of how they made Brad Pitt looked really old and frail in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button“. This one looks so authentic though.

For my regular readers out there, you all know how much I love straight guys right? I just don’t love them because of the sexual thing… well, okay – that is mostly the reason why – - but, I do love them more if they can treat me just like one of the guys. Do you know what I mean?
I have many straight guy friends. These friends are people I go out with, eat lunch with, joke around with and most of all – they don’t really care about my sexuality. They know that we don’t cross the line. They accept me for who I am and I accept them for who they are. That’s just that.

If you’re one of the hopefuls who wanted to win the Mega Millions Lottery from last night’s drawing, I’m sorry but there are no winning numbers. The jackpot just rolled over to $304 Million dollars – one of the highest in lottery history.
The winning numbers were: 1, 14, 35, 50 and 53. The Mega Ball number was 43.
I guess it’s time for me to buy tickets again. We used to have an office pool but that weekly contribution could get a bit expensive. If we put $20 per person, per week – it’s a killer.
I thought, if I am going to win the lottery – I only need one ticket. Right?

The legendary actress has died today at the age of 79. Celebrities and regular people alike have flooded Twitter with their messages of sadness because of the actress’ passing. A pioneer in raising awareness for AIDS research, she was a sincere ally to gays all over the world.
