Adele on the cover of Rolling Stone – “I don’t like going to the gym..”
Of course you’ve heard of her. Adele, the 22-year old British singer who released an album, 21 and became an instant hit. The album which contain hit songs that merely came from emotions about her break-up with her boyfriend, captivated audiences worldwide.
She is on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine and looking as beautiful as ever. I saw her being interviewed by Chelsea Handler one night and I fell in love with her and her music instantly.
Here’s what she had to say to the mag about her weight:
“Even if I had a really good figure, I don’t think I’d get my t*ts and a** out for no one,” she told the mag. “… I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum…but that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.”

I have never seen or heard about this! I didn’t think it ever existed. But when I checked into it, Petite Lap Giraffes are real! They actually breed them for pets!
I was so excited and I clicked on the button “I Want Giraffe” and I was listed as the 855,500 person on the waiting list. Ha! I will probably never get one in my lifetime. I don’t even know how many billions it costs to get one, let alone have the time to wait for one.

McDonalds’ Ad BF-GF showing kids pretending to be lovers, pulled out.
With the recent spark of controversies regarding the treatment of minors (children) on television after the Willing Willie March 12th episode, McDonald’s Philippines probably didn’t want to be associated with the exploitation of children in the media. The timing of the release of the McDonald’s ad portraying two kids pretending to be boyfriend-girlfriend to promote their french fries was pulled out.
That is quite understandable considering the climate of media ads nowadays after the scandal. So, bye bye to the commercial I thought was cute.
Kudos to McDonald’s for being sensitive to this scandal which has now caused global concern for children.

TVGuide.com reports that the Oprah Winfrey Show’s finale is commanding a $1M payout for each 30-second ad. Whoah!!
Is this what they mean when they say the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer? Dang! 30-second spot!!!
Apparently, the Friends finale holds the record for a whopping $2-million for its 2004 finale, and Everybody Loves Raymond was $1.2 million. So, I guess it’s not ridiculous after all.

I don’t think I’m going to buy anything and everything William and Kate though – but some of you might.
I’ve seen commemoration plates come out, mugs, stamps, dolls…. but this is a crazy one. Cell phone cases made of Swarovski Crystals. Ha! I have an iPhone and I am tempted to buy just so I can have it as a collectible. Because in a few months, you know what’s going to happen right? The iPhone 4 will be replaced with a new design that would render this case useless.. but who cares? It has William and Kate on it. I can sell it in year 2055 and make big profit! I just have to hold on to it till then. Ha! I’m sure it will be featured in the Antique’s Roadshow by then. Hehe!

A hilarious satirical take on Willie Revillame and his most current global troubles.
I know, I know. The charges against Willie Revillame about the March 12th episode of Willing Willie are serious and should not be taken likely. But, I was floored when a link was shared to me on Facebook about a blog called Word of Albert which had a satirical post regarding Willie Revillame’s troubles.
I thought the writing was funny and even though the made-up letter was hysterical, it does touch on the issues that Willie cannot seem to understand himself. The self-gloating and the narcissism, the “I-am-the-savior-of-the-poor” persona shows up in the writing.
When I read the first post, “Satan’s Letter to Willie Revillame”, I thought, “Ha! Genius!” but then I read the latest post, “Willie Revillame Writes Back to Satan” – that was it. I lost it and couldn’t stop laughing.

I didn’t see this part of the video: ‘Willing Willie,’ Philippine TV Game Show, Yanked From Airwaves After Crying Child’s Striptease Dance (VIDEO)
I was defending Willie Revillame when I first saw the Youtube video that was posted regarding the March 12th incident that happened on Willing Willie. I thought, “The child danced without any coaching from Willie Revillame during the segment. That was not Willie’s fault, but rather the fault of the guardians of the child since a dance like that from a six-year old should not be encouraged.”
That was my stance before. What I didn’t see was the rest of the video where it shows the boy on top of a table dancing with women around him pretending to give him bills of cash. THAT, WAS UNACCEPTABLE.

I have my trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil planned out for next month. I am going with several friends of mine. Sun, sand and boys… hahaha! But it’s more than that. It’s the culture of the people that I love most. They are similar to Filipinos and that is the reason why I keep going back every year.
This year, I may go back again for the Miss Universe Pageant to be held there in September this year!! I cannot wait!!

Shamcey Supsup, Binibini No. 26, was crowned Bb. Pilipinas-Universe at the coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2011 held last night, April 10, at the Araneta Coliseum.
Shamcey, 24, bested 39 other contestants who competed in this year’s pageant. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of the Philippines College of Architecture. She also topped the Architecture board exam in July 2010.
She will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.

Lady Gaga Upsets Catholic League With Judas
I can understand how Catholics and Catholic rights campaigners are upset with Lady Gaga when she uses Catholic imagery in her music videos or concerts. The most recent one is the upcoming promotion that she has where she portrays the role of Mary Magdalene… this is the season of Lent, the holiest season for Christians.
The singer takes on the Bible in the forthcoming music video for the track, in which she portrays Mary Magdalene and actor Norman Reedus stars as Judas.
“This is a stunt… Lady Gaga tries to continue to shock Catholics and Christians in general: she dresses as a nun… she swallows the rosary. She has now morphed into a caricature of herself.
“She is trying to rip off Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around… Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn’t random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter.”

Would you watch it? Glee`s Darren Criss interested in Warblers spin-off
There are reports that Glee will have a spin-off that will feature the singing group, Dalton Academy Warblers.
I am a fan of the Warblers just because Darren Criss is there. Granted, the songs they sing are songs that I love but without Darren there, would it be the same?
Darren is apparently interested in joining the spin-off should it come to fruition. I think it’s going to be an interesting twist. I just don’t know how long it can carry a story line.

Prayer for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Union published by the Church of England
A prayer for a couple doesn’t have to be grand. It can be simple and the prayer published by the Church of England sums it all up for the upcoming union of Prince William and Cathernie (Kate) Middleton.
A gesture of love and support for the couple was given by the Church of England and Roman Catholic leaders in Wales are said to follow suit.
I can’t wait to watch the Royal Wedding. I took the day off and bought champagne to toast the couple on their wedding day. Nyak! So corny huh?

Lea Salonga, Jim Paredes, Aiza Seguerra including Leah Navarro – - threatened to be sued by Willie Revillame due to their reaction to his March 12 Willing Willie episode. Even Manny Pangilinan wasn’t happy with the statement he gave on Willing Willie.
The latest tweet was from Sen. Francis Pangilinan, husband of Megastar Sharon Cuneta. It must have irked the Senator so much that he would tweet such a statement and even challenging Willie Revillame to sue him as well.

I didn’t doubt for a minute that it was the Senator since I follow him on Twitter. With over 83,000 followers – the Senator didn’t find any sympathy for Willie Revillame’s speech given on Willing Willie yesterday. In fact, the Senator found Willie Revillame arrogant and unrepentant.
This issue is not over yet. I’m sure Willie will respond in one way or another. I wonder what it will do to Willie’s relationship with Sharon Cuneta who supported the popular host during his early days in show business.
Remember when Willie said to Aiza Seguerra, “Aiza – magpakalalaki ka!” OMG. Do you really have to say that? That’s a right violation in itself. That was to mock Aiza for being a lesbian?

Target’s lame attempt to do damage control. LGBT Campaign, You Make Us
Who’s going to believe who? Remember when Target’s CEO Greg Steinhaffel defended a $150K donation in July of 2010, where it was revealed that Target’s Political Action Committee had made donations to MN Forward, a PAC that supportered Minnesota State Rep. Tom Emmer’s campaign for governor? Emmer is a hardline conservative who holds staunch anti-gay rights stances, and has been linked to a ministry that advocates killing gay people.
Lady Gaga cut her ties with Target due to this saying, “Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they’ve made in the past…our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they’ve made supporting those groups.”
Now, Target is campaigning to promote diversity. Do you believe it? They continue to donate to anti-gay politicians and even after their apology – and as a matter of fact, 3/4 of their political spending in 2010 were donated to anti-gay rights politicians.
I continue to boycott Target and will continue to do so until it is made clear that they have stopped supporting anti-gay rights politicians. A video stating they support diversity doesn’t change what they do behind the scenes. Prove to us that you have turned away and stopped supporting anti-gay rights politicians, and maybe – - just maybe… we will be back into your stores.
