TV5 Issues an Official Statement Regarding MTRCB’s 3-month Suspension of “T3: Sagot Kita”

MTRCB (Movie and Television Review Classification Board) came down hard on TV5’s “T3: Sagot Kita” hosted by the Tulfo brothers Raffy, Erwin and Ben Tulfo when they made threats to husband and wife Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on live television after the NAIA brawl incident with the brothers’ older brother, Mon Tulfo. The show was originally suspended for 20 days. However, the new suspension issued by MTRCB will last for 3-months.

TV5 immediately issued an official statement in response to the suspension. This is what TV5 sent to Chuva Chienes dot Com:

“TV5 regrets the decision of the MTRCB and views it as an act in excess of its jurisdiction. At this point, TV5 will turn to the Court of Appeals and seek judgment in its pending petition to enjoin the MTRCB from further enforcing the sanctions until a definitive ruling is made on the issue of grave abuse of discretion committed by the Censorship Board.”
