Happy Birthday to The Queen of Talk, Oprah Winfrey.
I have listened and followed Oprah Winfrey for decades now and I still use most of her expressions like “Aha Moment” and “When you know better, you do better” stuff.
The one lesson that I learned from Oprah that I will never forget is the teaching that says goes something like this:
God has a very special way of teaching us a lesson. First you hear a whisper like hearing yourself say, “Hmmm. Something’s not right.” If you listened, that would be it. But if you didn’t, you will get a little tap on the shoulder. If you still don’t listen, that’s when God’s voice will hit you like a ton of bricks. The same thing will happen to you over and over again until you’ve learned your lesson.
The simple way of saying it is: Break the cycle. If you know that you’re doing something that is destructive, stop it.
