I’m not a fan of Anthony Weiner. In fact, I understand why people will not vote for him. When news came out about his sexting back then, he admitted to it, resigned from Congress and that was that. He apologized, people accepted it. But when it was found that he continued to send lewd photos out by using an alias named Carlos Danger, people went berserk. How could someone, who, after admitting to the public that he has made amends to his wife and that after his wife supported him throughout the scandal, continue to embarrass her like that?
Well, Weiner met his match in a Brooklyn bakeshop. A Jewish bakeshop as well. The Weiner campaign released a six-minute video to provide context to the situation and for me, personally, I don’t think the man had any right whatsoever to say the things he said. Like: “You married and Arab! You’re disgusting!”. Really? I can understand how Anthony Weiner shot back. And rightfully so.
One thing that I don’t care for are self-righteous people. Regardless of what Anthony Weiner has done, he is right. We have no right to judge him. And for us to tell him to stop running for office because of what he’s done is absurd! Let the people decide. If people will vote for him, good for him. Maybe he really is excellent at what he does. But if people decide not to vote for him, so be it as well. But for anyone of us to put a judgement on someone is unacceptable to me as well.
Here’s the viral video that is circulating around the web right now. You decide.
