Graduation 2015! I can almost taste it.

Levon Fuller

When I decided to go back to school back in 2003, I didn’t know how long it would take me to graduate.  Working a full-time job, running a part-time business and going to school was not going to be an easy feat.  I knew that.  But with a lot of patience and hard work, I was able to get my Associates Degree in Business Administration almost instantly.

It’s tough.  There were times that I didn’t want to continue anymore because I am always tired and I don’t have time to do other things than study, work and sleep, study, work and sleep.  I wasn’t able to go to the gym regularly anymore.  I gained weight.

One year, I decided to take off.  I wanted to take a break.  That break became two years. And before you know it, five years had gone.  I realized that I am not getting any younger. Little by little, I started taking classes again.  You must have seen my posts here when I complain about how tired I am and that as much as I want to graduate, I was still having a hard time balancing work and school.

Finally this year, I decided that I will finish school once and for all.  I had my transcripts evaluated and guess what?  If I continue taking two classes every eight weeks starting this summer, I will be graduating by May 2015!  I was floored when I heard that estimate!  I am almost there.  This is the last leg.

On top of it all, I was able to qualify for a grant that would help pay for my tuition.  It’s amazing right?!  Finally, my dream will come true!  It’s my lifelong dream and if I get this diploma with honors, I would celebrate in a manner you have never seen before!

So come one summer class, let’s get going!

I will post my journey at school here.  There’s no reason that I should fail.  I must tread on and continue what I have already begun.

Here’s to my success!!  Cheers!
