Oh the glory of summer! Green grass and beautiful meadows! Where art thou?!
Well, not yet. I’m just being sentimental for a bit. We try to hold on to our summers because it feels like it comes and goes so quickly. I remember just getting over the cold weather and spring was about to come. I was so excited to welcome spring only to miss it because I was so busy. In a blink of an eye, there was summer. Another blink… it’s gone.
I did a recap of my 2014 summer and it’s not done yet. It will be finished off with photos from our week at the beach house. All 23 of my friends were there. We had cookouts, cook-ins, boot camps, bike rides, and club nights. We also had beach days, shopping and simply drinking and talking. I will post photos before it gets cold because I might hate looking at the photos by the time I try to post them and it’s freezing outside.
I do have friends in Arizona though who probably won’t care that autumn is coming. In fact, they have just left Arizona to move to Dallas, Texas. How about that? But I remember them living in Arizona and how they constantly try to lure me to visit them and experience the hot weather there while it’s snowing here on the east.
The leaves are starting to fall from the trees and they are changing their colors so quickly. Before you know it, our lawns will be brown waiting for old man winter to come. That is why I am thinking about moving west. The grass is always green and whether they admit it or not, some of them have artificial lawns. Haha! Yup, don’t be fooled by some of them. Believe me though, I don’t have a green thumb. I can kill a cactus if you let me. So having artificial grass is not an issue for me. It’s low maintenance and it’s always green.
I don’t have to do it where I live because I live in a town home / condo community. They take care of all that stuff for us. But imagine having a green lawn all year round. Wouldn’t that be amazing? It would probably be weird for us east coast folks but a place like Arizona? That would probably be a hit! And there are plenty of resources where you can get services to get artificial glass on your lawn. How do you find one? Just Google it! Search for artificial grass Glendale AZ and you will be surprised how many companies you find that offer the service. If I owned a single home in Arizona, that is probably what I would do. You don’t have to worry about watering it, no lawn mowers needed and best of all, it makes your lawn immaculately beautiful all year round!
I am actually looking for jobs out west now. I hired a head-hunter who will assist me in searching for jobs around the San Diego area. I am starting to hate winter and it’s not only because it is too cold but it affects your mood as well. If it’s sunny outside, you can’t help but be joyful and pleasant. Cold and gloomy makes you irritable and sad.
I do appreciate the autumn season though. I love it when the leaves start to change their colors. I like seeing Halloween decor and feel the crisp cold air. It’s the season. It also makes you feel that Thanksgiving is near which brings to mind family, friends and good food. Then after that, Christmas is around the corner.
I just don’t like walking the dog on icy grounds, and having to walk in the house with snow on my shoes. I like having my windows open during summer months. For now, it is what it is and if I have to live with it for a few more years, I don’t mind. Sooner or later though, I would have to move to a warmer place. San Diego is an option but so is Orlando. I just don’t know which one I would become easily accustomed to. I would say San Diego. What do you think? Should I take a poll? LOL!
