There we have it. The 2015 Miss Universe pageant is the most controversial, drama-laden event in 2015. Ever since its inception, never has it had the size of controversy and drama that it had on Sunday evening, December 20th.

During the rehearsals right up to the actual event, a contestant  (Miss Slovenia – Ana Halozan) had a seizure and paralyzed the right side of her face.   A horrible time to have it happen to anyone.  She was given the honor to walk the stage at the night of the event as her doctor advised her that she could not participate.

After host Steve Harvey crowned the wrong contestant (Miss Colombia – Ariadna Guttierez), he tried to repair it by coming back on stage to announce the real winner (Miss Philippines – Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach) but the damage had already been done. Miss Colombia was graceful enough to bend down slowly as the crown was taken from her and transferred to Miss Philippines.

Then, we focused on Miss Germany (Sarah-Lorraine Riek) who gave an interview and created more controversy when she told a reporter that she was very unhappy with the result.  She said Miss Colombia deserved to win because “none of us voted for Miss Philippines”.  Her statement caused her own country’s beauty pageant organization to detach themselves from her with an official statement.

Another thing happened outside Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas where someone died outside with reasons unknown.

Now, Miss Costa Rica has added herself to the mess about comments she made about Miss Guatemala’s costume on her Facebook page.  It was later removed and a statement issued that an administrator posted the comment and had been fired because of it.

All of these caused vitriolic comments on Pia Wurtzbach’s Instagram page, Steve Harvey’s Twitter, Miss Germany’s Twitter account and I’m sure, Miss Costa Rica’s Facebook page as well.

To top it all off, the judges did say that all of them voted for Miss Philippines as confirmed by gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Miss Philippines was gracious enough and wanted to reach out to Miss Colombia after the crown was transferred but as you can see from the video below, she was led away after some of the contestants ignored her from behind.  Miss USA was the only one visible who supported Miss Philippines.  Miss Philippines stated at a press conference, “I am very sorry, I didn’t take the crown from her and I wish her well in what ever she wants to pursue.”

What else could happen now?
