Chuva Goes To Prague. #Traveler #Travel #Prague #Chuva #StoNino

I am religious. I love all the rituals in my faith. Many of you know that by now. I ramble on this blog and sometimes you don’t know whether I am coming or going but if you are a follower, you know that I love the Catholic faith.

I grew up around nuns and priests. My devotion to the Blessed Mother stems from the upbringing that my Lola and Nanay gave me. Our town is dedicated to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Yes, I come from Baclaran. My patron saint is Sta. Rita de Cascia who is also the town’s patron. Long story – short, I was brought up knowing the faith.

When I first heard about Prague, it was many moons back. I met an Irish monk who told me that if I ever get the chance, I should visit Prague because it is the most romantic city in the world. At first, I thought, wouldn’t that be Paris? But in any case, I listened to him and ever since then, Prague has been on my bucket list.

This year, it finally came true. My lifelong wish. And because Prague is not only the most romantic city but it is also where the world-famous Infant of Prague is housed. Sa ating mga Pilipino, marami ang may deboto sa Santo Nino. Kaya matutuwa kayo sa post na ito. At nakapag-misa pa kami kahit na Czech ang language.

It’s hard to capture the statue on this selfie – but that is the Infant Jesus of Prague.  I had no idea it is made of wax.
