But if you have to choose anyone who should go home this week, who would it be? I can bet you 1000 votes that it will not be Jessica Sanchez. I have all the Filipinos in the world and the whole country of the Philippines behind Jessica.

Last week, they predicted that it will be Hollie Cavanagh but the POLL can be a little tricky. Skylar Laine was booted off. But like I said, she will eventually get a contract for a country music label. That I can guarantee you.

MTRCB: Tulfo bros’ show may be charged in violation of Section 3(c) of Presidential Decree 1986 for ‘indecent’ utterances
The threatening words uttered by the Tulfo Brothers on “T3 Kapatid, Sagot Kita” has gotten the attention of MTCRB and may be charged in violation of Section 3(c) of Presidential Decree 1986 for “airing scenes and utterances”. The younger brothers of the elder brother, Ramon Tulfo (Erwin, Ben and Raffy Tulfo) have apologized for making threats on national TV. The threats made Raymart Santiago fear for his and his family’s safety. They are looking into filing charges against the threats made against him.
Meanwhile, TV5 has issued a statement regarding the incident saying:

Chuvahotness # 39 – is Filipino-Chinese Actor Xian Lim (SHIRTLESS PHOTOS)
It’s hard to even imagine that rising star Xian Lim was a chubby kid when he was growing up. From his interview with Janice de Belen on Showbiz Insider Report, we found out that he was bullied at a very young age and was sometimes forced to eat his lunch inside the rest room to avoid being ridiculed and bullied at the school cafeteria. But look who’s laughing now? That little ugly duckling has turned into a swan.
Alexander Xian Cruz Lim Uy is a Filipino-Chinese model and actor, also known as Xian Lim. He landed his first major acting role in 2009 when he was cast in the TV adaptation of the film Katorse. He was studying Management at the University of the East where he was also a member of the university’s men’s basketball varsity team.
Lim is known for his hosting at Binibining Pilipinas 2012
Lim is a contract artist of Star Magic. He starred in a few minor roles before landing a lead role in Katorse. In 2010, he got a supporting role in Rubi as Luis Navarro.

Radio and TV host Mon Tulfo was involved in a fist fight against husband and wife Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto at noontime Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
According to some witnesses, the actress, together with his husband Raymart Santiago, arrived in Manila around noon today from their Boracay vacation but their baggage were missing. Claudine Barretto was reportedly pissed-off and started scolding and cursing a Cebu Pacific staff.
Mother’s Day Story. What are you doing for your mom on Mother’s day?
It has been 17 years since my mom passed away. I still miss her advice, her gentleness. You see, I’m the youngest in the family. I’m the “mama’s boy”. I remember when I was a little child, my mom was my constant comfort. She was there when I came home from school. She tucked me in at night. When I’m sick, her gentle touch comforted me.
She used to check if I’m cold by cupping my ears with both her hands and that warmth sends me to sleep. To this day, when I put both my hands over my ears, I tend to become sleepy. And I always remember her when I do that.
I always remind my friends whose moms are still with them, to cherish and show their moms how much they mean to them. Life is too short. Give back and show them the love they selflessly gave you while you have the chance.
Mother’s Day is almost here again. I miss you mom! Mother’s Day in 2012 will be celebrated on May 13th.

Skylar Laine Booted Off American Idol. Jessica Sanchez remain as part of Top 4.
Last night’s American Idol Elimination Night was heart-pounding to say the least. Supporters of Jessica Sanchez were on Twitter, praying and hoping that she stays in the competition.
Personally, I voted for Jessica at least 450 times the night before. It was a concerted effort among fans. One fan tweeted: “Voted for Jessica Sanchez 1000 times last night. I’m glad my vote counted”.
Although our POLL seemed to point to Hollie Cavanagh to be the castoff on last night’s elimination round, Skylar Laine turned out to have the lowest number of votes from a total of 60 million votes.
I do think that she will succeed as a country singer and she believes it as well since she has received much support from fans from the South.
“I’m so happy that the South was rooting for me,” Laine explained. “Country fans were rooting for me. That’s all I want. All I want is a country group. Winning would have been great, but I just want to make an album. I want people to buy it. I want to be on the radio. “Miranda Lambert, my idol, didn’t win ‘Nashville Star.’ She got third, and look at her now — winning everything, pretty much. I’m just so happy to be here. So humble and just so thankful for everything.”
I think she will be fine.
The goal for next week? Vote for Jessica Sanchez until my fingers turns blue!!

PREDICTION: Who’s going to be voted off from American Idol’s Top 5 Tonight?
I may not agree that Hollie Cavanagh will be the next one to go during elimination night on American Idol tonight but the voters on our poll seem to suggest so. I thought she sang better than Skylar Laine last night but the judges seem to disagree with that.
On our poll that we are taking this week, almost 56% of the votes are thinking Hollie Cavanagh will be eliminated.
Last week, the polls did say Elise Testone and they were right. Do you think the voters will be correct this week? Who do you think will be on the bottom 2?

How is it that any celebrity couple’s relationship that ends becomes news?
That’s the case anywhere. Be it here in the U.S. or anywhere else in the world, a break-up, a divorce, or anything tragic that happens to celebrities become news. Why? Because regular people delight in the fact that celebrities are just like us. They are no different.
Those little issues you have to deal with against your partner (like leaving the toilet seat up, leaving the toothpaste cap undone, etc.) are the same issues they deal with. Sure, they have more money than you but everything is relative. I’m sure that they have bigger expenses than you.
Derek Ramsay and Angelina Panganiban have been in the “break-up” category since they got together. But they have weathered the storms and have stayed together despite of all the rumors surrounding their relationship. Yet, this is the first time that Derek has admitted that they are “going through stuff” at the moment. When those words are uttered, usually you can prepare for the inevitable.
Then came the news about John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao‘s split that supposedly happened months ago. (At least this one I expected. Sometimes, when you break up once – it means that there was something worth breaking up for. If you get back together, usually you break up once more).

How could you not love a real person like Lea Salonga? Miss Lea Salonga has been an inspiration to many people around the world, not only to Filipinos but to other cultures as well. She embodies class and integrity.
She has a twitter account with almost a million followers. She tweets about her opinions as well about the RH Bill, current events and tweets fun things like “There are days when pajamas are the only appropriate thing to wear. For me, that day is today. =)”
But the most striking that caught my heart was her show of love and support for the LGBT community sparked by the issue raised by former Miss Universe Runner-up, Ms. Miriam Quiambao who was adamant in injecting her religious beliefs to the gay community that she tweeted some very harsh words that resulted in a backlash among the gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders around the globe.
Without naming any names, Miss Lea Salonga came to the defense of the LGBT community us and simply tweeted the following:
As a gay man, I applaud her for using her voice to support who we are. I’m sure that she was exposed to the LGBT community way earlier and also received much support on Broadway (you know how we love broadway songs!!!) while working on Miss Saigon.
The best tweet I saw was when someone asked her if she has something against gay people – - this is what she tweeted in return:

Miriam Quiambao is not a stranger to all of us. She was the one so famously almost got us the Miss Universe crown back in 1999.
Well, I saw the show “Tonight with Arnold Clavio” discussing the change in the Miss Universe Pageant rules to accept transgendered women. The guest was Naomi Fontanos, Chair for Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines or STRAP, and Miriam Quiambao.
Although I disagree with Naomi’s claim that they consider themselves “natural-born women”, Miriam’s response was quite offensive. It was the usual injection of religious belief into the conversation and I was kind of taken aback specially when she said that she wasn’t the one who said it but God did.

Well, she wasn’t content with that. She went on to Twitter and tweeted the following after an appearance with Boy Abunda‘s The Bottom Line:
“Homosexuality is not a sin but it is a lie from the devil. Do not be deceived. God loves gays and wants them to know the truth”
She immediately received a strong backlash from the LGBT community (most specially the gays who supported her during her Miss Universe competitions). She went and apologized saying,
“I’m sorry LGBT. Perhaps I was too harsh with the words I used. Will do my best to be more sensitive. #respect #nobodysperfect”
Later on, after more tweets she said:
“I’m sorry that the truth offends some people but it is truth that comes from God. The truth will set you free. Love you.”
“Mahal ko ang LGBT. That’s why I am sharing with you the truth. If you are not ready for it, please don’t shoot me. I am just a messenger.”
I don’t know if you all remember Carrie Prejean for Miss USA.
Sorry, Miriam. I know that you mean well. But calling us a “lie from the devil” will not get you closer to your god. What about equal rights? Please tell us Miriam. Are you for or against equal rights?

ABS-CBN’s “Walang Hanggan” is still the best teleserye ever!!!
Literally, it took me a few months to catch up on the hottest television series sweeping the Philippines. I had all the shows recorded on my DVR and had to start it from the very beginning, prohibiting my friends from telling me anything about the story line.
Yes, it’s ABS-CBN’s “Walang Hanggan”, starring Coco Martin (Daniel), Julia Montes (Katerina), Richard Gomez (Marco), Dawn Zulueta (Emily) and powerhouse veteran actors like Susan Roces and Helen Gamboa.
I was in Chicago back in February when one of my friends whom I was staying with, watched an episode of the show. He was soooo excited that it made me wonder what the show was all about.
Now, I am finally caught up and still waiting for that DNA testing to occur to find out if Daniel is really the son of Marco and Emily. The last episode gave me chills when Nathan (Paulo Avelino) found out that Katerina is staying with Daniel at the old mansion Katerina’s family used to own. I can’t wait for tonight’s episode!
Anyone out there watching “Walang Hanggan”? Or maybe a better question is, “Is anyone out there NOT watching “Walang Hanggan”?

Akon, who recently guest mentored on Idol, says (Jessica) Sanchez is by far his favorite contestant this season. “I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I kind of want her to get voted off so I can sign her,” Akon told E! News at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami.
“She’s beyond the talent that’s supposed to be there,” the R&B star gushed. “I think she’s overqualified, I really do.”
“And she’s only 16,” Akon continued. “Like, I’ve been around a lot of superstars. I haven’t seen anyone at that age sing like that.”

This is something that will warm your heart. I saw this video today and was amazed by 6-year old Ethan Walmark, playing and singing Billy Joel’s Piano Man. You see, Ethan suffers from autism (struggling with social interaction). The kid has an amazing talent for music and sings amazingly beautiful with his dad, I think. And I love Billy Joel’s song so it easily connected with me.
I have a niece who suffers from autism as well and she has a great talent for painting and drawing. It proves that even if these kids appear that they are not paying attention, there’s really something inside of them and understands us like any person does.

I knew this was coming. I have taken a poll since Top 7 on who’s going to be eliminated next and the response for the past two weeks was “Elise Testone“.
I am a Jessica Sanchez supporter (isn’t that obvious already?!), and I think I’m a bit of an ageist I think. Elise Testone seem to be a bit too old for American Idol, don’t you think? I’m not saying that because I think she’s a great artist and has a great voice as well but AI is simply not for her. I mean, she’s 28-years old. I know that I shouldn’t be saying that but life sucks and it is what it is. I’ve been eliminated from some things in my life because of my age – it’s a fact of life.
Sharon Cuneta on rift with aunt Helen Gamboa: “Sana sinabunutan niya na lang ako.”
The rift between the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her aunt, Miss Helen Gamboa (currently starring as the villain in the successful teleserye Walang Hanggan on ABS-CBN) is still raw.
It was obvious that the Megastar is still feeling the pain of the hurtful comments made by her Tita Helen about the statement she has made in the past:
It’s been more than a month since she said, “Yes, politics does divide families, like when my uncle says something bad about Kiko, you don’t understand why…”
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is Sharon’s husband.
To which, Helen retorted: “Sumasama ang loob ko. I feel that it is not right na ang pamangkin ko ay masyadong matayog. I could feel that she’s so unreachable. Hindi ko na siya maabot…”
It is very personal for Sharon and as she spoke and answered the questions, her eyes welled-up with tears and said that she really misses the Sotto family. She is trying to mend things though. Little actions that could hopefully bridge the gap created by politics. She said to PEP:
Whenever Sharon has a comment on her Tita’s portrayal in Walang Hanggan, she would text Richard Gomez—who’s also part of the TV series—and ask him, “Ipabasa mo [kay Tita].”
She said, “Wala na yun sa akin. Sana tapos na. Sana sinabunutan na lang niya ako…
“E, hurt pa, e. Hurt siya.”
Her defense: “Nag-asawa lang ako ng politician…
“Yun lang naman, I think that’s understandable. Alangan namang iwanan ko si Kiko.
“Yun lang naman yun. Siyempre tatay ng mga anak ko yun…”
She remains positive that everything will fall in to place someday.

The competition is getting tighter and tighter. Support for Jessica Sanchez was visible last week when she garnered more votes compared to the prior week. Did that mean that people threw their support for Jessica because she deserves it? Or was it simply because Filipinos and Mexicans became united to vote for our very own?
That doesn’t seem to be the case although it really helped. I have many friends who have voted for Jessica Sanchez and they have posted it on their Facebook pages as well to encourage their friends and friends of their friends. They are united in this with Jesse McCartney, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.
Remember, Jesse McCartney was told by Jessica Sanchez that she “would die” if she could do a duet with Jesse. His response was:

Uh-oh!! Gov’t: New Case of Mad Cow Disease in California
This news is so timely. Last Friday, I was encouraged to watch a documentary entitled, “Food Inc.”. It is a documentary about the food supply in the United States.
This is the news that just came out:
The Agriculture Department says a new case of mad cow disease has surfaced in a dairy cow in California.
The case is the fourth in recent years. John Clifford, the department’s chief veterinarian, said the cow from central California did not enter the human food chain and that U.S. meat and dairy supplies are safe.
I was horrified when I saw the film because there seems to be a lot of conspiracy going on that we don’t know about.
Our food supply is really controlled by only four companies and they command what is done to the food supply to become more efficient and more profitable.
I was disgusted after I found out what they do to make our chickens fatter and larger (more yield = more money) and also to fatten the cows by feeding them corn which isn’t natural. Cows eat grass. Due to this, e coli bacteria thrives in the animal’s intestines. What do they do to get rid of the e coli bacteria? You have to watch the film and find out.
I’ve learned to avoid meat right now. I buy my fruits and vegetables from local growers. I am also inclined to only buy organic foods.

I dunno why, but I am uber excited to watch Jessica Sanchez perform this week. After a near-miss on getting booted out of American Idol, American Idol’s Filipino-Mexican finalist was saved by the judges. No more saves left – - from this point on, we have to vote for her people!!
In the meantime, I want to take another poll (I will take a poll every week until the finale) to gauge whether Jessica will remain.
Last week, I conducted a poll and the poll results say that Elise Testone was the one to go – but in a total shocker moment, it was Colton Dixon who was booted out. Colton had never been on the bottom three before. Maybe his comment of “I don’t care.” lost him his votes.
If you think the rift between Nadia and Anabelle is bad, how about the rift between Cristine Reyes and Ara Mina?
Every family goes through this. Well, not every family but most families do. Dispute over money could change any individual to an evil, conniving person.
Ara Mina, is the 32-year sister of Cristine Reyes, 23. They are normally sweet to each other but dispute over payment for their mother’s house apparently released the venom of the rift.
Media reports say that the house, which is in Cristine’s name, had a downpayment of P1 million provided by Cristine, and monthly payments of $3.2 million provided by Ara Mina. Cristine is demanding that Ara Mina pay half of the downpayment. Cristine has requested that Ara Mina give her the SUV in replacement of the P500 thousand that she is demanding. The text messages are so revealing that anyone reading it would probably cringe in disbelief.
Here are a couple:
“Kung ayaw niyo manggulo ako sa buhay niyo, bayaran utang niyo sa akin. Kung wala kayo pangbayad, ibigay niyo hinihingi ko.”
“I’m sure ibebenta mo ‘yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati.”
OUCH!!!! The latter text prompted Ara Mina to file a libel case against her sister. Admitting that this is not the worst rift that they have ever had but she thought that bringing this matter to court would teach her little sister a lesson.

Nadia Montenegro’s interview on The Buzz yesterday has generated some very harsh tweets from Anabelle Rama, The matriarch of The Gutierrez family. The interview was granted by Nadia after six months of being silent as advised by her counsel.
Her comment of “dapat burado ka na sa mundo” was the target of the tweets.
Anabelle tweeted the following:
(2.1) Nagbanta ka pa sa akin. Sabi mo sa The Buzz, kundi ako si Annabelle Rama, matagal na akong burado sa mundo.You must be dreaming! Pwe!!
(2.2) Hoy tanga! Nanakot ka pa! Anong pinagyayabang mo sa TV?!
(2.3) Noong araw yun! Ang lakas ng live-in partner mo. Pero aminin mo na tapos na ang maliligayang araw nyo. Iba na
