Lashing out anew, the feisty talent manager accused the network executive of playing personal against her son, Richard Gutierrez, by deliberately pitting the grand birthday celebration of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera against the opening day of Richard’s movie with KC Concepcion, For The First Time, last August 27.

Tinawagan ng PEP ang vice president for GMA Program Management na si Mr. Joey Abacan upang kumpirmahin kung totoo ang balita na pumapangalawa diumano ang My Monster Mom sa Hollywood flick na Hancock in terms of ranking sa top-performing movies around Metro Manila last week.

“I’m not sure if it’s number two,” pahayag ni Joey. “Hindi naman kasi namin tinitingnan ‘yong competition, especially the foreign movies. Ang tinitingnan namin is ‘yong gross and performance as compared doon sa mga films that we produced in the past.”

Annabelle Rama topbills “monsterrific” movie starring July 2

Let me tell you something. Annabelle Rama has become wise with age. She knows that gossip sells. Intrigue sells. She is quick to create one and would do everything in her power to get noticed. Annabelle is cast in this comedy flick along with her real-life daughter, Ruffa Gutierrez. “It’s such a joy to be working with my mom for the first time,” said Ruffa during the press conference held last June 10 at the Imperial Suites in Quezon City. “This is really a project tailor-made for my mom, and kami namang mga Gutierrez, if it’s for our parents or brothers, we let them shine in every which way—hindi kami nagsasapawan. So now, it is my mom’s turn to shine, so we let her shine.”

Sinubukang kunin ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang reaksiyon ng TV host at columnist na si Cristy Fermin sa kanyang radio program na Showbiz Mismo sa DZMM kahapon, April 4, tungkol sa paglabas ng desisyon ng Supreme Court sa libel case na isinampa laban sa kanya ng mag-asawang Eddie Gutierrez at Anabelle Rama noong 1995.
