I am not here to defend Sharon Cuneta just because I am an avid fan. I have witnessed Sharon’s love for her daughter KC Concepcion and like any mother out there, I’m sure that you will stand up against anyone who bashes your child.
It’s no different kung Megastar ka man or simple at regular na ina. When words being spoken or written against your child are considered slanderous or libelous respectively, sometimes you don’t have a choice but to react in defense of your child.
The worst thing about the most recent issue on Twitter is that an executive from ABS-CBN made the tweet that irked the Megastar.
If you read the hate tweets against the Megastar, I’m actually surprised that she has only reacted the way she had because some of them are downright below-the-belt tweets.
Isa lang ang masasabi ko, this sculpture tells it all. It was created by our very own national hero, Jose P. Rizal in Dapitan back in 1894. It’s called a “A Mother’s Love”. It’s a sculpture of a crocodile with a puppy in between its jaws and the pup’s mother was trying to save her child by biting the croc behind the neck, disregarding her own safety for the safety of her pup. ‘Nuff said.

The rift between the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her aunt, Miss Helen Gamboa (currently starring as the villain in the successful teleserye Walang Hanggan on ABS-CBN) is still raw.
It was obvious that the Megastar is still feeling the pain of the hurtful comments made by her Tita Helen about the statement she has made in the past:
It’s been more than a month since she said, “Yes, politics does divide families, like when my uncle says something bad about Kiko, you don’t understand why…”
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is Sharon’s husband.
To which, Helen retorted: “Sumasama ang loob ko. I feel that it is not right na ang pamangkin ko ay masyadong matayog. I could feel that she’s so unreachable. Hindi ko na siya maabot…”
It is very personal for Sharon and as she spoke and answered the questions, her eyes welled-up with tears and said that she really misses the Sotto family. She is trying to mend things though. Little actions that could hopefully bridge the gap created by politics. She said to PEP:
Whenever Sharon has a comment on her Tita’s portrayal in Walang Hanggan, she would text Richard Gomez—who’s also part of the TV series—and ask him, “Ipabasa mo [kay Tita].”

Her defense: “Nag-asawa lang ako ng politician…

Judges on American Idol Shocked at Vote Results. Jessica Sanchez received the lowest amount of votes.
Never mind that I and my mother, my mother’s father, my friends’ friends sisters,nephews and nieces voted a gazillion times for Jessica Sanchez, she still ended up to have the lowest votes among the Top 7 finalists on Idol last night. Was that a shocking surprise or what?
The judges were so shocked that Jennifer Lopez had to stand up and join the teen on stage to announce that they are saving the singer Jessica Sanchez from elimination. She invaded the stage and said:
“Give me that mic, this is crazy! Yes, we’re using the save, you ain’t going home. Go sit down, go sit down,” Jennifer said, nudging Jessica to join her fellow “Idol” contenders. “Go sit down!”
Randy Jackson didn’t back down either. He said:
“We are saving Jessica, without any doubt. Let me just say this. For myself, Steven and Jennifer, this girl is one of the best singers in America! Ever!” he said. “Are you kidding me? Please everybody… Please vote for the best, it’s about finding the best. I mean, come on!”
This elimination save makes it more crazy next week because two contestants will have to be eliminated.
If you didn’t vote the other night – you better have your redial button ready and smoking next week for Jessica Sanchez.

21-year-old Cheesa Laureta is the new Filipina to make waves in the reality show, The Voice.
She was born in Hawaii. Her mom hails from Cebu while her father hails from Manila.
While she failed to pass the audition for Americal Idol last year, she did skip through the Blind Auditions on Fox’s “The Voice”, judged by Christina Aguillera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Blake Shelton.
The most recent performance of “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, paired with 31-year old Angie Johnson (whose video was uploaded by “faceless gay soldier” became viral last year) was a blessing for Cheesa under Team Ceelo. She was chosen as one of the Top 24 to compete on the Live Round.

Miss Universe Canada, Jenna Talackova – disqualified for being a transexual?
Beauty queen, Miss Universe Canada – Jenna Talackova received the dreaded news. She was disqualified from the Miss Universe Pageant because “she did not meet requirements” after she had been selected as one of the 65 finalists to compete for the crown in Toronto.
It was still hanging in the balance last week whether she could continue to compete until she heard on Friday and tweeted that she had been disqualified with the pageant having found that she had sexual reassignment surgery in 2010.
Here’s the statement from the pageant:
“She did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form,” stated a Miss Universe Canada release issued on Friday.
“We do, however, respect her goals, determination and wish her the best,” it concludes, without specifying what requirements she did not meet.

Who’s behind flour-bombing Kim Kardashian in a West Hollywood hotel? Not PETA.
Of course, once the alleged woman who flour-bombed Kim Kardashian was slightly heard to have yelled “Fur hag!” shortly before the bag of flour was poured all over Kim’s back, people started assuming that the person had to something to do with PETA.
But, NO! says PETA. They were not behind the flour-bombing incident but they are quite glad about the attention thinking that Kim Kardashian would probably think twice now about wearing fur again.
“PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not.”
Is this fair? I know, I don’t like seeing people wear fur as well because of the cruelty that these animals have to go through but then again, harmless or not, what if the person thought of something else to pour over Kim other than flour? Would it still be funny then? I don’t think so.
Somehow, it makes me associate these types of acts to people who threatens doctors who perform abortion. Pretty scary.

Donald Trump was quick to rejoice after it was announced that Rosie O’ Donnell’s show on OWN has been cancelled.
On Twitter, Donald Trump tweeted:
“Rosie O’Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night.”
Both of them have been at it for years. The Donald had labeled Rosie a “pig” and Rosie had imitated Donald Trump’s infamous hairdo on The View making fun of him.
According to sources and staff at OWN, Rosie was very difficult to work with. Is there any truth to that?
Rosie could be very opinionated and that is probably why she clashed with OWN personnel.
TMZ was right – these people are experienced in producing, directing and promoting a show. Hey, Oprah always said that she’s got the best production crew on earth – - and that was why the Oprah Show had the success that it had.

It’s sad and yet comforting at the same time when we find out that celebrities we adore and put on a pedestal, do go through the same issues that we (regular people) go through.
Sharon Cuneta got started in show business with the help of his uncle Tito Sotto. She is very close to her uncle’s wife (and her mom’s younger sister), Helen Gamboa. As a matter of fact, through the years, they’ve always shown respect for each other.
But as political issues heat up between Sen. Tito Sotto (Helen Gamboa’s husband) and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan (Sharon’s husband), as respective spouses, they have to stick with their own
Sen. Tito Sotto’s failure to vote for Sen. Kiko Pangilinan when her ran for Senate president drove the wedge between the aunt and niece. It has never been the same back then. Words were spoken and they simply stopped talking to each other. That was back in 2010.
Being accused of changing because of money and fame, Sharon responded:
“My weight may fluctuate, but I have not changed. What has changed has nothing to do with money. I have been doing well for so long in that department, long before this problem. I just… grew up.”

X-Factor Philippines’ New Judge? Charice!
While it has been hush-hush in the past, Charice finally revealed that she will be part of X-Factor Philippines as one of the judges.
KC Concepcion is the only known celebrity so far (she will be the host to the show) who is part of the show until Charice finally admitted that she will be one of the judges.
“Thank you so much to the people behind ‘X Factor.’ I love ‘X Factor’ and I’m very happy, very happy to be part of the team. And I’m so excited. I just want to say na saludo ako, thank you so much for choosing me. I know there are a lot of talented celebrities here in the Philippines and thank you for thinking about me. X-Factor Philippines is part of a global network that will air on ABS-CBN.

I never thought of a Gerald Anderson-Sarah Geronimo team up would work. It just seemed too far fetched. Yet, then again, opposite poles attract and I think that is the chemistry between the two stars.

Remember when Demi Moore posed nude over 20 years ago while pregnant on the cover of Vanity Fair? Well, she was a real trend-setter. Many celebrity moms have posed nude and pregnant on magazine covers since then. Now, it’s Jessica Simpson. Although I believe that these moms look great, no one looked a s great as Demi Moore back then.

Since the rumor started, no one was positive about Jersey Shore’s Snooki Polizzi‘s pregnancy status until she confirmed it on US Weekly
. Yup, the Jersey Shore star is pregnant (currently engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle.
That is good news for the star because it may tame her wild, drinking and partying ways in the future.
She said, “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.”

We all know her from Everybody Loves Raymond. Patricia Heaton caught flack for her tweets about Georgetown Law Student, Sandra Fluke after Rush Limbaugh called the student a “slut” and a “prostitute” for advocating that healthcare should include contraception or birth control pills to be provided free of charge.
These were her tweets from her confirmed Twitter account with 68K followers:
