According to website, a source told Star Magazine that Adam Lambert is getting quite close to singer/songwriter Ferras Alqaisi.
Source says, “They have a lot in common, so I’m not surprised Adam started falling for him. Adam really dropped a bomb on Drake; I don’t think he suspected a thing!”

Wala halos ideya ang karamihan sa mga inimbitahang press people ng Bench kung sino ang celebrity endorser ng bago nilang perfume line, ang Desired. Kagabi lamang na-reveal kung sino ang endorser sa pamamagitan ng isang intimate fashion show na ginanap sa 2nd floor ng Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.
Ang endorser ng Desired ay walang iba kundi si Dingdong Dantes.
Ayon sa actor-TV host, siya mismo ang nakaisip ng naturang brand name at kasama rin siya sa nag-conceptualize ng overall look ng bagong scent ng Bench.

We continue to make history and this one is close and very dear to my heart. I was still living in California at the time when Matthew Shepard, a young gay man – was cruelly beaten and left in the desert to die because he is gay. It was a very sad time for me.
Yesterday, President Barack Obama signed the Matthew and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act. A historic day not only for gays but for all Americans.
The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act would expand the federal definition of hate crimes to include those motivated by gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability. It also will allow federal authorities to pursue hate-crimes cases when local authorities are either unable or unwilling to do so.
“We must stand against crimes that are meant not only to break bones, but to break spirits — not only to inflict harm, but to instill fear” … “Because no one in America should ever be afraid to walk down the street holding the hands of the person they love,”… “No one in America should be forced to look over their shoulder because of who they are or because they live with a disability.” – Pres. This is a day in history that I will never forget. I am so glad that I lived to see it happen.

Well mga ka-chika… it’s that time of year again. This is the time when Chuva Chienes transforms herself into one fabulous and beautiful maiden. Hahaha! I wish!
The Butse Gang has a yearly tradition. We go to the Henri David Halloween Ball in Philadelphia every year. This year will be different only because we used to buy our own dresses and get up for the occasion. But, not this time.
This time, our dresses will be made by a friend (pictured above) who recently completed Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines in Manila. Parang Project Runway baga… hahaha!

The movie documenting Michael Jackson’s preparation for his This Is It concert in London made a mark as celebrities flocked to the overnight premiere of the movie before it is to open to theaters nationwide tonight.
Elizabeth Taylor sent tweets of her experience after seeing the film and said that we should listen to the lyrics of the songs that Michael sang. Words from a genius with a big heart like “Man in the Mirror”, “Heal the World” and many others.

Does this mean that my nephews and nieces aren’t going to be smarter than they already are? I remember my sister going gaga over these videos – the so-called “turn your kids into Einsteins by watching these videos” product called “Baby Einstein“. She used to put them in front of the TV watching these videos for long periods of time while she’s working or doing laundry and stuff.
Well, according to New York Times , Disney has now offered a refund to anyone who has purchased the videos because according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, no baby should really be exposed to tv screens under the age of 2 because it affects the child’s attention span.
A team of lawyers concerned about the “deceptive advertising” threatened Disney that they will file a class action suit against the company unless they provide a full refund to anyone who purchased the Baby Einstein videos since 2004. The company’s website has now made a refund offer for any videos returned (without receipt) at the purchase price of $15.99 each up to four DVDs per household, may exchange the DVD for a different title or receive a discount coupon.
My sister’s kids are no longer infants and they are very smart and talented kids. I guess, I wouldn’t be able to credit those traits to the Baby Einstein videos now… maybe their prescription eye wear at such a very young age.
If you have any of the Baby Einstein Videos – you may opt for an exchange, obtain a refund in full or get a discount coupon until March 10, 2010. To participate, you must have purchased a Baby Einstein DVD between June 5, 2004 and September 4, 2009. Follow the website’s instructions and get your refund request coupon here.
Daylight Savings Time Change 2009
I got a call from a friend over the weekend asking if daylight savings time already kicked in because his computer time changed. I know that this year, the day to change our clocks here on the east coast is November 1st @ 2:00 a.m. I remember that it was back in 2007 when it was changed to be during the first week of November.
So I told him, “No, we haven’t changed the time yet!” Always remember to FALL back and SPRING forward. So this time, when 2:00 a.m. comes around on November 1st *(SUNDAY), turn your clock back 1 hour which would give you an extra hour of sleep time… or extra hour at the bar …and have another drink. 
This is not applicable to all states however and you must know that some states don’t even have to do anything during the time-change.

It’s been reported first by In Touch Weekly that 36-year old T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy) and his 20-year old boyfriend, Mark Cornelsen have called it quits. They do intend to remain friends and that’s a good thing.
T.R. is also performing on a musical through November 15th in Los Angeles entitled “Parade”. According to Access Hollywood, the actor also intends to have babies… ??? We’re not sure how he’s going to do it.. but I think that’s cute. I always thought he is cute anyway……

ESPN baseball analyst, Steve Philips is reportedly being divorced by his wife Marni Phillips after finding out that Steve had an affair with 22-year old Brooke Hundley (a production assistant at ESPN).
Allegedly, Steve Phillips broke up with Hundley and she didn’t take it too well. She posed as their 16-year old son’s classmate in order to get the information about the family. Once she obtained the information, she contacted Marni Phillips and told her about the affair even writing a letter describing private birthmarks of Steve to prove that she has indeed seen Steve in the buff. Wow! This is crazy – it’s like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction all over again.

Boy in Balloon found at home in the Attic – Safe

This TV drama couldn’t have ended better than this. Imagine the frantic people watching this saucer-like balloon waving in the wind thinking that a boy is either inside or may have fallen off as it swayed uncontrollably.
The 6-year old boy was found in the attic of their home. The search was prompted when the boy’s older brother told police that his younger brother Falcon Heene climbed at the box that was supposedly attached to the helium-balloon craft.
As it unfolded, it was found that the boy didn’t board the craft. Instead, he climbed and hid in the attic.
“Apparently the boy’s been there the whole time. He’s been hiding in cardboard box in the attic above the garage,” Sheriff Jim Alderden said.

Boy missing thought to have flown in a helium baloon – VIDEO

Sheeshamagudness! How could it happen? A boy from Denver is thought to be inside a hot air helium balloon ( a home-made aircraft from what reports say). It was horrible as they have now found the baloon but the 6-year old boy was not inside.
Sources say that the 6-year old boy is Falcon Heene – confirmed to be Myumi and Richard Heene’s son who appeared in ‘Wife Swap’. They said that the balloon got as high as 25,000 feet. No confirmation just yet whether the boy was indeed inside the balloon or not. This is a developing story.

Tasered 72-Year Old Woman gets $40,000 in settlement

You may remember this video last summer where a divided opinion rose about Kathryn Winkfein, a 72-year old woman in Austin, TX who was stopped by a deputy constable when she was caught speeding, running at 60 mph on a 45 mph construction zone. The woman appeared very uncooperative and allegedly resisting arrest and daring the officer to tase her. She was definitely going against the officer’s orders while the officer was trying to calm her down and shoved her twice to avoid oncoming traffic from the road. She kept saying that she’s going back to her car even though the officer ordered her not to and warned her twice that he was going to use the taser on her if she did.
Well, she continued on until the officer was forced to use the taser gun on her (twice), handcuffed her and took her to jail.
Apparently, the county has awarded her a settlement of $40,000 USD because of the incident. The county’s reason? If they fought her lawsuit, they would spend more than just the $40,000 settlement.
Hmm… that doesn’t sound right to me. Is the sweet 72-year old woman who stands at 4′11″ setting a precedence that you can be awarded for doing something against the law?

A song written by Paul Anka in 1991 for Safire entitled, “This is It” is exactly the same song that was released by Michael Jackson’s recording company. As soon as Paul Anka heard the song, he immediately contacted the record company who released the single.
The record company had no ill-will in the matter and have agreed to give Paul Anka 50% of all proceeds from the sale.
“They realized it’s a mistake. They realized it’s my song, they realized it’s my production of his vocal in my studio, and I’m getting 50 percent, actually, of the whole project, which is fair.”

Filipinos are making waves abroad not just in the entertainment scene, but also through humanitarian efforts.
On Nov. 26, Cavite native Efren Peñaflorida, Jr. is stepping into the halls of the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood to attend CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, which will honor him and nine other people from around the world who are “making a difference.”
CNN, which marks its third year of recognizing heroes around the world, will award Efren $25,000 for his “extraordinary accomplishments.”
The 28-year-old educator won the recognition from the international news agency because of his Dynamic Teen Company, a volunteer organization he founded that aims to uplift the lives of poor children living in slums in the Philippines.
