Gerard Butler talks about “Bounty Hunter” on GMA (VIDEO)
One of the movies I’d like to see after Green Zone is Bounty Hunter starring the ever-sexy Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. I feel like I want to watch something light and fun and Gerard Butler is just that, fun.
I first got a glance of Gerard when I watched P.S. I Love You. I fell in love with his Irish accent and have loved him ever since.
Watch his interview with Good Morning America and a preview of the film below.
OMG! Rob Pattinson in a shower scene?
Alright, I know I’m all about Team Jacob and no one’s going to tell me that anyone else is sexier than the ultra mega hot werewolf, Taylor Lautner.
I guess until vampire hunk Rob Pattinson got into a shower scene in Remember Me. I guess it pays to be a hot teen idol huh?
Rob Pattinson is in a new movie entitled Remember Me that did well over the weekend. Now I know why!
Twilight’s Eclipse: New Sneak Peek Video (Behind the Scenes)
Taylor Lautner was photographed signing autographs at “The Runaways” Premiere in Los Angeles last Thursday, March 11th. Still hot and cute as ever!
Anyway, have you seen the new sneak peek video of Behind the Scenes shoot of Twilight’s Eclipse? If not, you’re in luck.

‘Alice in Wonderland’ holds top spot at box office

I guess Tim Burton has done it again. Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp remained on top over the weekend gaining another $62 Million in sales, totaling now to $208 million dollars. The 10-day total has topped his “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” as his highest grossing film.
I thought Green Zone was going to do better than it did. Matt Damon, known very much and very much loved in the Bourne series is the perfect man for the role. The question is, would the viewers still connect to “Iraq war” dramas. It was reported that the movie cost $100 million to produce but opened with a week $14.5 million.
Remember Me with Robert Pattinson did fairly well. It took in $8.2 million and although that isn’t much – the movie didn’t cost $100 million to produce.
Well, Avatar is still taking cash in even through the end of its box office run – totaling $730 million in domestic sales. WOW!

Latest Gay Indie Film from the Philippines – “Parisukat”
The Philippines became well-known for producing Gay-Themed Indie Films when Lino Brocka released “Macho Dancer” in 1988 and it became an instant hit worldwide. Since then, the Philippines has produced numerous films that are gay-themed and released worldwide.
Now comes another film from the Philippines entitled, “Parisukat”. Starring Toffee Calma & Jeff Tatsuro, supported by Indie actors is one that would probably make rounds globally most especially here in Philadelphia where gay films are featured during the Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Film Festival held during the summer. This year’s festival will take place in mid-July (tentatively scheduled for July 8th to the 19th 2010).
Are you pumped for the 2010 Oscars this weekend? Chuva predicts the winners…
I love the Oscars. I usually try to see most of the nominated films but this year, I only got to see three of them. That was Avatar, Precious and Up in the Air. With that, I think I’m going to be a little biased with my predictions but we shall see. Of course, I am a bit influenced by the Golden Globes as well.
I will only guess on the top awards… So let’s start shall we?

Chuva at the movies: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Review
Last night, I was bored to my skull. The opportunity to see a movie (I have been wanting to see Valentine’s Day) came up and I quickly grabbed it. The movie? Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The Lightning Thief.
I was a bit apprehensive as I imagined the movie to be more appealing to kids but I was actually surprised. I loved the Greek Mythology and the appearance of Uma Thurman as Medusa was a treat. I enjoyed the film and I highly believe that the kid - Logan Lerman was outstandingly charming as Percy. There were some goofy errors in the film however just like the head of Medusa appearing when it was clearly visible that they didn’t have it at that time at the Lotus Casion and major Greek Mythology with Annabeth as Athena’s daughter. In actual Greek myth, Athena was eternally devoted to chastity and never had any children.
I would still recommend it as it was entertaining and would be fitting for kids to watch as well. Take the whole family. Out of five, I give it a four.

Kellan Lutz – A Nightmare on Elm Street – Video Trailer
The 1984 film, A Nightmare on Elm Street’s remake looks as good as the original. Coupled with Kellan Lutz’s star quality (he’s been quite as hot as Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson after Twilight)… the film is sure to be a hit.
In theaters on April 30th — until then, don’t fall asleep!
Mark Wahlberg hasn’t lost it yet. Shirtless and uh-uhm good.
The days of his Calvin Klein ads may be over but he hasn’t lost the hotness that he once had. In the film Date Nights, Mark Wahlberg (Marky Mark) appears on a scene shirtless and he looks good… you wouldn’t think that he is 39 years old with his body. Hmmm.

Lionsgate wins the bidding war for new Taylor Lautner movie – Abduction
I heard rumors that Lionsgate won the bidding war for yet again, another Taylor Lautner-attached movie. The role is a challenging one for Taylor since it is going to be a story about a teenager named Nathan who found his childhood photo on a missing persons website. Realizing that he was abducted by his so-called parents, he must escape and go on the run. It will be an action film, one that Taylor is excellent in doing.
The price for the script wasn’t disclosed but hearsay amounts come up with nearly $1 million dollars for the project alone. It’s simply good news for our “now-adult” Taylor Lautner. More power and I’m sure he’s going to be great at it.
See photos our Taylor Lautner after his workout at a gym in Los Angeles below. OMG, sometimes there’s a reason why I love soft shorts and a windy day..hahaha!
Ewan McGregor talks nudity and gay kisses – Out Magazine
Ewan McGregor has a new film is coming out entitled, I Love You Phillip Morris. Paired with the comedian, Jim Carrey whose worldwide film gross sales topped $4 billion dollars the magazine said – is not new to nudity or gay kisses. Several films that Ewan mentioned are Pillow Book and Velvet Goldmine where he appeared nude and kissed a guy as well. In Pillow Book, he made out with an old Japanese guy and in Velvet Goldmine, he made out with Jonathan Rhys Meyers where he actually enjoyed it.
I remember when I kissed Johnny,” says McGregor. “It was just a rush at the end of the day. It was just an electrical moment, because you look around and some of the British electrician guys — who are all mainly closeted homosexuals, I think — were sitting around going ‘Fuck, no.’ But I like kissing boys on screen. As a straight guy, it’s quite an interesting proposition. Anything on a film set that takes you by surprise like that, that gets your blood up, is good.”
The film, I Love You Phillip Morris did well at Sundance and is now ready to be shown in mainstream theaters. The film comes out on April 23rd.

‘Dear John’ Ends ‘Avatar’ Winning Streak – Imagine That?
And there it goes. Avatar lost its winning streak to Channing Tatum’s Dear John this weekend
. Quite a feat if you ask me but Avatar had its peak and it was probably on the tail end anyway. Even so, Avatar still took in $23.6 Million this weekend. While Dear John took in $32.4 Million topping this weekend’s box office.
Glad to say I was one of the people who paid my $9.75 movie ticket this weekend to propel Dear John to a box-office smash.
Here’s my review. (spoiler here so do not click JUMP)

‘Avatar’ takes over ‘Titanic’ as Biggest Grossing Movie Ever
I guess we kinda knew that Avatar is going to take over Titanic’s record as the Top-Grossing film of ALL TIME. We just didn’t want to believe it. James Cameron film, takes over another James Cameron film. Wasn’t that much of a headline maker … or is it?
Avatar has grossed over $1.841 billion (Titanic’s record was $1.843). For the sixth straight week, Avatar was number 1 again over the weekend bringing their total domestic sales $552.8 million. So, if you have ever counted a million dollars in your lifetime, that’s a lot of millions.
The movie takes in $2 million on most weekdays according to reports.. and that is in the US alone. So, guess what… I’m sure it will surpass Titanic any moment now.

With record-breaking offerings in 2009, Star Cinema releases “Paano na Kaya” starring Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu. It’s the drama that catches you. The ‘young love’. The friendship.

Channing Tatum is not just a pretty face. Dear John – February
I have admired Channing Tatum ever since I first laid eyes on him. He’s one hot dude you know. I’ve seen him on the covers of magazines and male underwear ads. He will soon be listed as one of the hunks who grace our Chuvahotness series.
After seeing the trailer for “Dear John“, I was amazed. I didn’t realize that he could act so convincingly. Watch the video and wait until position 1:40 secs and you can almost feel his voice and how much he’s hurting.
Dear John ells the story of John Tyree, a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis, the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by Johns increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters overseas–correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences.
Watch the video trailer in HD. Dear John will be out in theaters this February.
Star Cinema reveals box-office gross of their 2009 films

The films of Star Cinema for 2009 earned a total of P1.135 billion, based on figures provided by ABS-CBN’s film production outfit. PEP met with the Star Cinema executives of Star Cinema—namely Star AdProm director Roxy Liquigan and Star Cinema & TV Synergy Specialist Mico del Rosario—earlier today, January 15, at the ABS-CBN compound to discuss how their films did last year.
You Changed My Life, the Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz-starrer, was once again a Valentine hit with its gross of P208.8 million. Star Cinema has promised that the love story of Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro will continue, still with Cathy Garcia-Molina at the helm, but they have no definite date yet for its release.

In Preparation for Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s Birthday on THE BUZZ – VIDEOS
Always a big bang, always well-celebrated… the Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s birthday. As soon as the New Year is rung, it’s time to prepare for her birthday celebration. From The Buzz to other Television shows like Who Wants to Become a Millionaire, interviews and documentaries – - all leading to the day when Sharon Cuneta celebrates a concert at Araneta Colosseum on January 12th. I’ve only been to one of those and that was when she turned 18. It was star-studded… believe me!
I think the celebration is much more mature now. She’s been through life and she has proven the world that she is a real person. A person who stayed the same and untouchable for the last 31 years.

YouTube – Legion Movie Trailer – Not sure if it’s believable.
I don’t know about you but I wasn’t so impressed with the story line of the movie, Legion which comes out in January 22nd. Maybe it’s too far out there to have angels destroy the earth because God is not pleased with his people? Hmmm…
The title is very catchy – I like it and I expected more of a prophetic, kind of end-of-the-world thing going on but it ended up like a Terminator movie. I don’t know, I’m not sure yet if I will watch it. Would you?
Take a look at the trailer below:

“AVATAR’ surpasses $1 billion in global box office sales
There’s no stopping Avatar from climbing. Word of mouth is still, to this day – the best advertising ever. Once you say “You gotta watch it!” – - they watch it.
So, CNN reports that Avatar has surpassed the $1 billion mark in global box office sales – - with good balance of having two holiday weekends in a row of course..
According to estimates from Hollywood.com Box Office, James Cameron’s sci-fi opus grossed $68.3 million over New Years weekend, a tiny 10 percent drop from Christmas weekend for a $352.1 million domestic total — easily the biggest third weekend in the U.S. ever (2002’s “Spider-Man” had held the record with $45 million).

Sharon Cuneta confirms she is adopting a baby boy
“When it’s awards night like that, anything can happen,” sabi ni Sharon. “Ninenerbyos ako lalo na ‘yung last minute (before announcing the winner).” Pero sa kabuuan ang simpleng pagkaka-nomina umano ay karangalan na. “I always say that it’s always an honor to get nominated constantly, although not yearly, pero ‘yung often enough so that your consistency is established.”
Sen. Bong Revilla prefers to focus on his movie’s success over criticisms
Bong). Ang importante, maganda ‘yung pelikulang ginawa.
