Is Jessica Sanchez in danger of losing to Phillip Phillips? American Idol Winner Will Be…?
I’m not sure if the voting has ended for the world just yet. I spent four hours last night, together with five friends, power-voting for Jessica Sanchez. Twitter was exploding with predictions and fans supported their “predicted idol” more fiercely last night than the weeks before.
My friends and I took to phones, iPads, iPhones, computer and landline to vote for Jessica as much as we can. We hope that everybody in the world did the same thing, Mexico included.
But a website called DialIdol.com, which had influenced the results in the past and have made a pretty much accurate prediction since its inception is predicting American Idol Season 11 to be …… Phillip Phillips.

Jessica Sanchez made it to the finale to go against Phillip Phillips who has a lot of female fans out there. But listen girls, the last few winners on American Idol have been male artists. When Jordin Sparks won the title, it was 2006! It has been six long years since we’ve had a female winner on American Idol. It’s time to vote for another woman and that woman is none other than, Jessica Sanchez.
I have already been invited to a Vote For Jessica party next week. Many households are organizing a VOTE FOR JESSICA gathering.
To all my Filipino readers, this is like our Miss Universe Dream. But this time, it’s in our hands. We can make this happen. So please, please, please… vote for Jessica Sanchez next week!

I almost sh*t my pants last night screaming when it was announced by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest that Jessica Sanchez is headed to the finals of American Idol Season 11!
I voted ferociously the night before and so did my friends. Voting parties were held everywhere from coast-to-coast to support the only female American Idol finalist left in the tight competition.
Twitter is a great venue to see the amount of support for Jessica Sanchez and last night, as I was putting updates live on my Twitter account (@chuva), I was seeing haters’ messages as well.
Phillip Phillips has a lot of female fans and when he cried during his homecoming parade, I’m sure he garnered a lot of “awwwwwww” fans. We have to be vigilant in voting next week, much stronger and fiercer. The POLL that I put out this week was correct in predicting Joshua Ledet to get the boot. I’m going to put up the final POLL for next week and we shall see where Jessica Sanchez stands against Phillip Phillips. (Crossing my fingers and toes!!!)

What did you think of the Top 3′s performances last night? Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez, and Phillip Phillips exhibited their talents last night and although it wasn’t that magical (it was just blah for me), they all did their best.
Jessica Sanchez went into last night’s competition with a sore throat which probably explains why her singing wasn’t as powerful as it always is. She looked gorgeous in the Filipino-designer Oliver Tolentino gown.

Take the POLL: Who will be eliminated this week on American Idol? We’re down to the wire with Top 3.
Are your fingers still hurting from voting last week? Well, don’t relax just yet. You will have to vote really hard this week to get your idol to the top 2. This week is most crucial to the fans of these top remaining finalists, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, and Jessica Sanchez.
Word on the street is that Adam Lambert and Lisa Marie Presley will be performing on Thursday’s result show. Adam will be singing ‘Never Close Your Eyes” and Lisa Marie will sing “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” from her new album, Storm & Grace. Meanwhile, the three finalists will be singing three songs each with the following selections: Judge’s Choice, Their Choice, and Jimmy Iovine’s Choice.
The American Idol Top 3 Contestants made their homecoming visits over the weekend and footage will be shown during Thursday’s results show as well.

The voting is going to be harder and harder as the finalists on American Idol Season 11 narrows down to a close. The three magnificent talents left after tonight’s elimination are Phillip Phillips, Josua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez.
But, can we predict the future? Can any social media help indicate who the next winner will be? Jessica Sanchez is one of the finalists where her fans immediately view her performance on Youtube right as soon as they are posted. From all her videos, she totals over 17 million views. Her Twitter following is amazing as well because she has almost 300 thousand followers which currently stands at 299,647 as of this writing. Is that telling us something? Let us not be so sure about that.

Last week, they predicted that it will be Hollie Cavanagh but the POLL can be a little tricky. Skylar Laine was booted off. But like I said, she will eventually get a contract for a country music label. That I can guarantee you.

Skylar Laine Booted Off American Idol. Jessica Sanchez remain as part of Top 4.
Last night’s American Idol Elimination Night was heart-pounding to say the least. Supporters of Jessica Sanchez were on Twitter, praying and hoping that she stays in the competition.
Personally, I voted for Jessica at least 450 times the night before. It was a concerted effort among fans. One fan tweeted: “Voted for Jessica Sanchez 1000 times last night. I’m glad my vote counted”.
Although our POLL seemed to point to Hollie Cavanagh to be the castoff on last night’s elimination round, Skylar Laine turned out to have the lowest number of votes from a total of 60 million votes.
I do think that she will succeed as a country singer and she believes it as well since she has received much support from fans from the South.
“I’m so happy that the South was rooting for me,” Laine explained. “Country fans were rooting for me. That’s all I want. All I want is a country group. Winning would have been great, but I just want to make an album. I want people to buy it. I want to be on the radio. “Miranda Lambert, my idol, didn’t win ‘Nashville Star.’ She got third, and look at her now — winning everything, pretty much. I’m just so happy to be here. So humble and just so thankful for everything.”
I think she will be fine.
The goal for next week? Vote for Jessica Sanchez until my fingers turns blue!!

We still have four weeks left before the American Idol crowns its winner for the 11th season. Who do you think deserves the crown? There have been four guys who took the title in the last four years. Akon already said that he will sign Jessica Sanchez and that’s the reason why he wants her booted off the show. Because if she wins, Jessica has a contract to fulfill with American Idol. I have a crush on Phillip Phillips but I have to let go of that for now.

Akon Wants Jessica Sanchez Voted Off American Idol. Why? Find out. (VIDEO)
Akon, who recently guest mentored on Idol, says (Jessica) Sanchez is by far his favorite contestant this season. “I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I kind of want her to get voted off so I can sign her,” Akon told E! News at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami.
“She’s beyond the talent that’s supposed to be there,” the R&B star gushed. “I think she’s overqualified, I really do.”
“And she’s only 16,” Akon continued. “Like, I’ve been around a lot of superstars. I haven’t seen anyone at that age sing like that.”

The competition is getting tighter and tighter. Support for Jessica Sanchez was visible last week when she garnered more votes compared to the prior week. Did that mean that people threw their support for Jessica because she deserves it? Or was it simply because Filipinos and Mexicans became united to vote for our very own?
That doesn’t seem to be the case although it really helped. I have many friends who have voted for Jessica Sanchez and they have posted it on their Facebook pages as well to encourage their friends and friends of their friends. They are united in this with Jesse McCartney, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.
Remember, Jesse McCartney was told by Jessica Sanchez that she “would die” if she could do a duet with Jesse. His response was:

The unity of Mexicans and Filipinos will be proven tonight. Jessica Sanchez is a Mexican-Filipina finalist on American Idol Season 11. Last week, she was in danger of being eliminated with the LOWEST NUMBER OF VOTES until all three judges used their “save” to help the 16-year old stay in the competition.
Well, this week’s elimination will be doubled. Two of the finalists will be leaving American Idol and the two finalists who receives the lowest number of votes will be eliminated.
Nobody saw this coming and therefore, we are all calling on Mexicans and Filipinos (Let’s forget about the Pacquiao – La Hoya or Pacqiao – Marquez fights for now) to VOTE for Jessica Sanchez. Let’s prove this TV Guide writer wrong.

The judges on American Idol may have just found THE WINNER on half-Filipino, half-Mexican contestant, Jessica Sanchez. When she performed “I Will Always Love You” last month, she received raved reviews. The legendary Whitney Houston cannot be matched but she came close.
Her recent performance of a more upbeat song by the same legendary artist may have scored points not only for the viewers but for the judges as well since Jennifer Lopez was in awe that such a voice can come from a tiny body like Jessica’s saying:
“Your vocals just make everything go away for me. I listen to you and I can’t believe those vocals are coming out of that little body.”

Lea Salonga, the Tony Award Broadway actress / singer was unofficially invited by American Idol’s arranger and musical director Michel Orland via Twitter on March 29th to become a guest and mentor for the contestants.
The exchange of pleasantries, including the invite may come to pass… that would simply mean a bigger Filipino viewership of the show which is already very famous for Filipinos because of Fil-Mexican contestant Jessica Sanchez.

QUEEN has been one of my favorite bands of all time. And it still is!
Adam Lambert loves QUEEN as much as anyone and has never failed short in expressing his admiration for Freddie Mercury (the rock band’s lead singer).

Katy Perry started with “I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It” and I instantly fell in love with her then. Not until Firework, did I ever really fall in love with her totally because the song in itself radiates positive energy and the hope that being who you are speaks a lot for itself. Forget Lady Gaga’s Born This Way.. Firework was the best song for me.

Glee Cast Celebrate Diversity During Tour in Dublin with Same-Sex Kisses (VIDEO)
One thing I love about Glee and its creator Ryan Murphy is how it is managing to promote tolerance and acceptance of the gay community. Not only does it teach our youths the value of equality but the show does it in a way that’s fun and really inspiring to many people.
The video captured on cam of the Glee’s Concert Tour in Dublin showed a segment where Naya Rivera and Heather Morris kissed. But that’s not the end of it. Watch the Chris Colfer and Darren Criss surprise.
