Please do tell me what Sarah Palin is trying to do?
She’s on a ONE NATION tour, visiting the most historic places in the United States. She was in Gettysburg, PA yesterday and the next stop will be the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. I might just see a glimpse of her (which is not a planned thing, I wouldn’t make an effort to see her anywhere) because the Liberty bell is within walking distance from me.
Donald Trump – Is NOT running for President in 2012. Figures.
Gotta give it to him. Donald Trump knows how to create controversy for publicity. He’s done it many times in his showbiz career that he’s almost become an expert on it. Ruffling the feathers of everyone including the President himself! That’s a feat!
One thing that is sure to get back to him is how people now perceive him when it comes to what he has to say. Fight with Rosie O’ Donnell? That was nothing. Both said some crazy things about each other so that was a wash. Publicity is publicity.

Well, I’m a registered independent so I could really go either way. (Not that way folks! LOL!) But I do lean more to the left than to the right.
29- year old Rep. Aaron Schock is the most attractive male Republican representative in Congress. His shirtless photos appeared two years ago and was even thought of as one who may be in-between fences. He has confirmed however that he’s not gay.
The problem is not that he’s Republican. Nothing to worry about that. I have gay friends who are Republican (can’t understand the reason why!) and I don’t have a problem with it.

President Obama decided against releasing death photos of Osama Bin Laden (POLL)
If you are waiting for the release of Osama Bin Laden’s Death Photos, you might as well forget about it.
President Barack Obama has decided against releasing the death photos of the 9/11 mastermind stating in an interview, released by CBS News and 60 Minutes:
“…Keep in mind that– we are absolutely certain this was him. We’ve done DNA– sampling– and testing. And– and so there is no doubt that– we killed– Osama bin Laden. It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head– are not floating around– as– an incitement to additional violence. As a propaganda tool. You know, that’s not who we are. You know, we don’t trot out this stuff as trophies. You know, the fact of the matter is this was somebody who was– deserving of the justice that he received. And I think– Americans and people around the world are glad that he’s gone. But– but we don’t need to spike the football. And– I think that given the– the graphic nature of these photos– it would– create some national security risk. And I’ve discussed this with– Bob Gates and Hillary Clinton and– my intelligence teams and they all agree.”

Yes, many people are passing through my blog trying to find anything that resembles the “death photos of Osama bin Laden” since the White House announced that they are considering releasing the photos to the public.
@ReallyVirtual (Sohaib Athar) was live-tweeting the military raid to kill Osama Bin Laden and didn’t know it.
What would you do if you discovered that the news heard around the world about the highly-classified raid in a Abbottabad mansion in Pakistan killing Osama Bin Laden was the event you just posted on Twitter? What would you do when all of a sudden, you are being requested for interviews and have become an overnight sensation all over the world?

I am watching CNN right now after I received an alert from HuffPo that President Barack Obama is going to make a statement at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st.
Wolf Blitzer said that top US Officials confirm to CNN that the announcement will be about national security. Then, minutes later it was confirmed that Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks IS DEAD. Osama’s body is in the possession of the United States and has confirmed the DNA that it is indeed Osama Bin Laden. He was killed in a mansion outside of Islamabad, Pakistani capital. The body has now been moved to Afghanistan.
The president has yet to make an announcement and is reported to make the announcement from the east wing of the White House.

Crazy as Crazy Birthers Get – Orly Taitz Kicked off from Lawrence O’ Donnell’s show (VIDEO)
President Obama was right. No amount of evidence will shut these nutty birthers regardless of how much we try. They care about the circus, not the issues. They love deflecting the President from doing the things he needs to do and he’s got a lot to do.
When Oprah Winfrey asked President Obama why he waited so long to release the long-form birth certificate, the President should have answered – “Because no matter what we release to prove that I was born in Hawaii and a citizen of the United States, the crazy birthers will find something more stupid so they can look crazier than they already are!” – but instead he responded with truth.
The President said:
“I said to my team, look, even though this is not usually what the state of Hawaii does,” he explained, “even though the Republican governor of Hawaii, the Democratic governors of Hawaii, all the various officials had confirmed that I was born here, let’s ask them for a special dispensation where they will go ahead and provide us with the original to see if we can put this to rest.”
But it’s true! Just look at Orly Taitz, she sounds like she’s related to Donald Trump. They lost all credibility (not like they had it to start with!)

Donald Trump Slams Robert De Niro in Return “…not the brightest bulb on the planet” (POLL)
Gearing up publicity for The Apprentice Finale must need a lot of celebrities to talk about you because as you all know, Donald Trump is drumming up the drums of birthers in order to get the attention that he needs to keep his name on the headlines until the final episode of this season’s Apprentice. At least that’s what I think.
Even Charlie Sheen has put in his two cents about The Donald about being gifted by the tycoon with fake jewelry. Ha!
Well, here’s what The Donald has to say about Robert De Niro’s statement (who by the way supported Barack Obama in the presidential elections in 2008):
“Well he’s [De Niro] not the brightest bulb on the planet. I’ve been watching him over the years and I like his acting, but you know in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein. And he can say what he wants, but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate and a lot of people agree with me.”
So, let me ask you guys. Who’s winning this poll? Because the last poll I had between Jerry Seinfeld and Donald Trump, Donald Trump beat Jerry Seinfeld 60% – 40% when it comes to which side the public is on regarding Jerry Seinfeld’s pullout of a commitment due to their differing values.

Celebrities vs. Trump – Next Up: Robert De Niro to Trump ‘How Dare You!’
Donald Trump doesn’t get it but he loves the attention. The latest celebrity who has questioned Donald Trump on his view regarding President Obama’s birthplace is Robert De Niro. If you remember, in the past several weeks, Donald Trump was the subject of Bill Cosby’s “Run, or Shut Up!” moment on NBC’s Today show. Most recently, Jerry Seinfeld backed out from a gig for Donald Trump’s son’s (Eric Trump) charity foundation because the comedian has felt uncomfortable with the statements The Donald is making about Barack Obama’s citizenship.
This is what De Niro has to say:
“I won’t mention names, but certain people in the news the last couple weeks, just, what are they doing? It’s crazy. They’re making statements about people that they don’t even back up,” De Niro alluded. “Go get the facts before you start saying things about people.”
“Any of those people have shows on my network on Sunday night?” he inquired — De Niro confirmed that, indeed, Trump, who has been on a national campaign questioning the President’s birth certificate, was who he was talking about.
“It’s like a big hustle. It’s like being a car salesman. Don’t go out there and say things unless you can back them up. How dare you? That’s awful to do. To just go out and speak and say these terrible things? Unless you just wanna get over and get the job. It’s crazy.”

Good for you Bill Cosby!! Donald Trump needs an awakening cause he seems like he’s living in the dream world like his Apprentice reality show.
Appearing on NBC’s Today Show with Meredith Vieira, Bill Cosby was asked about his thoughts on Donald Trump dropping many hints that he may run for president in 2012.
Bill Cosby responded:
“Oh, please, with Donald Trump, take him home with you!”
When asked by Meredith why he responded that way, he said:
“Because he’s full of it, you run or shut up.”
Ouch! Dang straight Mr. Cosby.

It’s Official. President Obama releases campaign video for 2012! (VIDEO)
It has been a very tumultuous three years. Many would say that President Barack Obama hasn’t done enough. But others would say, he has done a lot. Which side are you on?
I, for one will continue to support President Obama in 2012. I have a lot of admiration for him as he took the challenges of leading a country at war, in a financial mess and still is. I can’t totally blame him for that. However, he’s done more things (in my opinion) in the last three years that what I saw in the past 8 years prior to his term.
Sarah Palin is probably not going to run for President in 2012. Popularity at an all-time low.
Sometimes, when you open your mouth too much, it goes against you. Ever wonder why Madonna is still up there? She knows when to shut up. Have you ever seen her confront any controversy? Nope. She just hides and let the controversy boil over and then come out with a new album and a new look. Result? Success.
It has been very different for ex-Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. She was always in the middle of any controversy because she just couldn’t zip it up even for a moment.
Hmmm. Donald Trump might run for President in 2012 – only trails Obama by three points in new poll.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Donald Trump runs for President in 2012. Until now, there is still no one in the Republican party who can be the front runner for the party in the upcoming presidential elections.
Until “The Donald” spoke at a conservative conference two weeks ago, there were no talks of him running for president. But he said, “maybe I’ll run for president”, playing with the enthusiastic crowd. That created the buzz about him running for office in 2012.
Now that he’s thrown the word out onto the table – - polls have been set up to see how good he would fare out against the current president, Pres. Barack Obama.
Lo and behold! He only trails President Obama by three points according to new poll. Although his candidacy is already being compared to the Ross Perot campaign back in 1992 as something that would probably lose and give a better chance for Pres. Obama to win just like what Ross Perot did for Former Pres. Bill Clinton.

I vividly remember the time when Ferdinand E. Marcos and his family fled the Philippines arriving in Hawaii on exile on February 26, 1986. It was when Filipinos took to the streets and rejoiced when they heard the news that the Marcoses have fled the country.
In the same manner and the same month, Egyptians roared in jubilation today when it was announced by Vice President Suleiman that President Hosni Mubarak has given up power and has left the country and have handed power to a military council.
You may all remember the crowd in Manila when it was announced that President Marcos and his family have left the country, and I can probably assure you that you remember exactly what you were doing when you heard the news. It was the revolution that inspired the world.
But the revolution didn’t change the Philippines and the country struggled and to this day continues to struggle. What’s important to most Filipinos is that we are now free from dictatorship. Being free from dictatorship however didn’t mean free from corruption, poverty and strife.
Buzzing on Twitter today: President Mubarak of Egypt to resign tonight.
NBC News is reporting that Egyptian President Mubarak have finally agreed to respond to the demands of the protesters and will step down as early as tonight according to CIA Chief Leon Panetta.
There are threats that the protesters will march all the way to the Presidential Palace and it may have been the cause of the Mubarak’s decision.
One thing that is unclear here is if the transition to current Vice President Suleiman will go as smoothly as intended. Still developing…

Imagine, a handsome Rep. Chris Lee topping Twitter Trends this evening after a report from Gawker.com presented photos of a shirtless Rep. Chris Lee was posted this afternoon. According to Gawker.com, they received a tip from a woman who apparently had an email correspondence with Chris Lee via Craigslist.com after he responded to an ad under “Women for Men” category. He apparently introduced himself as a divorced lobbyist. The congressman sent a photo of him, topless and with flexed biceps.

Remember the video I shared that went viral this week of Zach Wahls, the Iowa 19-year old engineering student who spoke and defended his gay moms and his family at the Iowa State Capitol regarding gay marriage and marriage equality? He was interviewed by Lawrence O’ Donnell on his show, The Last Word and the video below just makes me love this guy more! He is an awesome human being who deserves to be honored for his position.

Journalists in Egypt are in extreme danger. Anderson Cooper hides, Couric and Williams flee (VIDEO)
Just a day after I heard about Anderson Cooper being attacked by thugs in Cairo, Egypt – supposedly Mubarak supporters punched Anderson 10 times and kicked him as well – there is a new report that he has gone into hiding now together with his crew due to increasing violence in Egypt.
Americans were urged by the US Government to go to the airports if they want to leave Egypt. Katie Couric and Brian Williams have fled the country for safety reasons.
Anderson says, ” I don’t mind telling you I’m a little bit scared because we don’t really know what the next few hours will hold and I think there’s a lot of people tonight who are scared in Egypt” – Source

What do you make of this? WikiLeaks Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize – CNN.com
Just a couple of days after ICE Homeland Security had seized several domains due to the issue of copyright infringement, Wikileaks was nominated by a Norwegian politician for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Why? Because he stated that the website has contributed much on “democracy and freedom of speech” globally. Its release of classified documents over the web exposing government secrets had been criticized by many to have compromised national security. Supporters of Wikileaks have applauded the release of the documents to expose corruption in governments.
The scenes in Egypt remind me of 1986 – Watching CNN exclusively as People Power unfolded.

To the families of those we’ve lost; to all who called them friends; to the students of this university, the public servants gathered tonight, and the people of Tucson and Arizona: I have come here tonight as an American who, like all Americans, kneels to pray with you today, and will stand by you tomorrow.
There is nothing I can say that will fill the sudden hole torn in your hearts. But know this: the hopes of a nation are here tonight. We mourn with you for the fallen. We join you in your grief. And we add our faith to yours that Representative Gabrielle Giffords and the other living victims of this tragedy pull through.
As Scripture tells us:
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
On Saturday morning, Gabby, her staff, and many of her constituents gathered outside a supermarket to exercise their right to peaceful assembly and free speech. They were fulfilling a central tenet of the democracy envisioned by our founders – representatives of the people answering to their constituents, so as to carry their concerns to our nation’s capital. Gabby called it “Congress on Your Corner” – just an updated version of government of and by and for the people.
That is the quintessentially American scene that was shattered by a gunman’s bullets. And the six people who lost their lives on Saturday – they too represented what is best in America.

I am not a Jew and I haven’t even read about the word blood libel until just now. It’s trending on Twitter like mad! Why? because Sarah Palin (in her infinite ways of making a fool of herself) used the word on her video in trying to defend herself as a part to be blamed in the Arizona shooting.
Blood libel refers to a legacy of hate during the time of Hitler where Jews are accused of killing Christian children and use their blood in preparation for making Passover matzah. I looked it up online and found that it is an anti-semitic slur that should not even be used let alone a person with much visibility like Sarah Palin.
Here’s her statement from the VIDEO:
“But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.”
Gabrielle Giffords continue to show positive signs. Hospital photos released by her camp.
We are very grateful that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is showing positive signs of recovery. I was watching the news last night and saw that she is responding to instructions and even gave the doctor’s a thumbs up. The good news about the information provided by the doctor is that now swelling in the brain has been discovered and her continued response to instructions are confirmation of that fact. Doctors did say that it takes three days for the brain to swell so they are not jumping the gun. We still need to continue praying for her full recovery and the other victims as well.

I have a lot of respect for Barbara Walters and she deserves my respect. She is one of the most fascinating people I’ve known on Television, an honest journalist and a very good one at that. She’s known to make you cry during interviews and she makes you so comfortable that you spill your guts out when you sit with her.
The recent shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and 13 others in Arizona is a tragedy and it’s a tragedy whether it was caused by Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs Map or not. I agree with Barbara there. Jared Loughner may be mentally unstable and yes, may have had issues in the past but it doesn’t discount the connection between the target list and the violence acted upon them in those districts.
This is what Barbara Walters had to say:
“This is a deranged young man. This is a Timothy McVeigh. Whether this happened because there is…too much commentary, too much violence…whether that really spurred him on or whether he’s just a very sick person, we don’t know and we don’t know what his motives are…to blame Sarah Palin, as some are doing, I think is very unfair to her.”
During the election, the office of Gabrielle Giffords was vandalized. She even spoke about the wrong message that the Sarah Palin Crosshairs map was putting out there in public. How can there not be any connection?
After the flack on Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs Map, she may just re-consider a second season of Alaska.
Whether you like politics or not or whether you love Sarah Palin or not, you know that she has a voice that many people listen to. She can tweet a statement and cause an uproar and every comment or Facebook posting she posts becomes part of the evening news.
Why? Because they know that with her influence, she may run for the highest position in government in 2012 – The President of the United States.
