Who says wishes don’t come true anymore? Don’t believe it! It just happened to Ellen Degeneres. She started an “O, Yes We Can” campaign to get on the cover of Oprah’s O Magazine and her wish was granted.
Oprah Winfrey believes in living your full potential and she mentioned it during the photo shoot according to E!. She said:
“When Ellen arrived at the photo shoot for our cover, I didn’t have to ask her how she was doing: it showed on her face,” says Oprah. “She radiated the kind of peace and satisfaction that comes only when you’re living at your highest potential.”
But the report said that she’s the only second human being who has made it on the cover of O Magazine (Oprah is the sole person to always grace the cover of her magazine) beside Michelle Obama. I thought Oprah’s hunky interior designer Nate Berkus made it too? But I guess there is a difference between “O At Home” and “O Magazine”. Oh well.
What other magazine cover can get this good? You have two of the most successful talk show hosts in the country who are living their lives to its fullest (bank account included) and sharing their joys and successes with one another. Huh?

Rihanna speaks on 20/20 which will be airing tonight. When asked how she felt that night, she responded:
“When is it going to stop? When is it going to stop? He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked-out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

Wadiaytelya? Being self-righteous serves no one and respects no one. The goody-two-shoes and former Miss California, Ms. Carrie Prejean has been reportedly removed from an Ultra-Conservative event after it has learned of her sex video tape.
Another event called “Defenders of the Family” has removed her from her speaking engagement which according to TMZ.com was still a go until yesterday (the event is today).
What a difference a day make. I think it’s downhill from here.

A victim of domestic violence, Rihanna kept silent about the events that occurred during that night at the Grammy’s when she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The photo that spread through the internet like wildfire is a testimony to the violence that many women experience but do not speak of.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Rihanna appeared to be stronger and more confident and that she has taken the bull by the horns to face the public and speak of her experience.
“Come out of the situation and look at it for what it really is,” she advised during an interview on “Good Morning America” on Thursday. “Love is so blind.”
Similar to child abuse, or any type of abuse – it is still often (unfortunately) hidden behind the walls of the home. If children are taught to speak out against any type of abuse and if they learn that when these things happen, they need to talk about it and tell someone – we could save a lot of lives.

This is one of the best trailers I’ve seen so far. I have seen “A Christmas Carol” so many times in so many different versions. But this is where Ebenezer Scrooge is taken to the 21st century by Disney.
Starring Jim Carrey, the trailer is super amazing and I’m sure the kids today would be able to relate. Of course, nothing will replace the original but this is more in line with today’s technology.
Charles Dickens’ timeless tale of an old miser who must face Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come, as they help to bring kindness to his otherwise cold heart. The Ghosts remind him of the man he used to be, the hard truth of what the world is today, and what will happen if he does not strive to be a better man. Set around Christmas, the most joyous day of the year, Scrooge realizes the sharp contrast of his own personality.
The images are superb, the sound effects are amazing.

Huwaaaaaaaaaat? Nicolas Cage is BROKE?
The “National Treasure” star, Nicolas Cage is selling all his properties all over the globe. He is having a liquidation sale according to reports because his manager didn’t protect his investments.
“Instead of protecting and preserving Cage’s wealth during one of the greatest economic periods in the country’s history, Levin placed Cage in numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments, resulting in Cage suffering catastrophic losses,”

Cage alleges that his manager was reckless with his money, including doing such things as not paying taxes, which is the reason Cage now owes more than $6 million in unpaid taxes and is now trying to sell off many of his real estate holdings, including his castle in England and a home in Hollywood.

It is really quite unclear but Nicolas Cage is supposedly suing for a minimum of $20 million dollars.
These guys make so much money and I don’t understand how they can let their finances go into ruin. If you need a remedy and you have lots of money – - just ask Oprah. She surely knows how to hold on to her billions…

Hmmm. Could it be because of the new movie with Hillary Swank, entitled Amelia? It’s the story of the aviatrix Amelia Earhart which will be launched onto movie theaters this weekend includes speculations about her mysterious disappearance and how she may have crashed on the Pacific Island of Nikumaroro and how her remains may have been eaten by Giant Coconut Crabs.
Do you know what these creaturs looked like? Their claws are so strong that it could crack a coconut – hence the name.

True to the Trump spirit, Ivanka Trump’s wedding to Jared Kushner this weekend at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey was kinda hush-hush – at least to me.
But many were wondering about the style of her wedding gown which was created by couture designer, Vera Wang. According to E-Online.com, it was a Grace Kelly-inspired gown and we all know that when you associate anything to Grace Kelly that it would speak of elegance and “grace”. Well, it was dead-on. Ivanka Trump’s dress was fabulous. See for yourself. Ivanka made her wedding known days before the big day through Twitter.
Has Madonna been talking to Oprah? She is set to open a school for girls in Malawi.
According to reports by CNN, Madonna will be in the African nation of Malawi to break ground for the building of a school for girls. She has been heavily involved with Malawi after she adopted two of her children from there.
The school — Raising Malawi Academy for Girls — will focus on empowering women to become leaders, the singer said on a Web site run by her charity. It will be built in the capital, Lilongwe.
Wow! Although it is a very admirable thing to do, I hope she protects the children there more than Oprah had protected hers. Remember when it was found that girls in Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls were molested by the caretakers?
I hope our dear popstar has learned from that lesson and will do everything in her power to employ watchdogs to report any immediate signs of abuse.
David Foster calls Charice the “Next National Treasure” of the Philippines

In this interview, the American producer stresses that Charice is “going to be the next national treasure for the Philippines.” He also revealed that he almost got the chance to work with Lea Salonga, whom he described as “incredible.”
A movie about brothers who are also lovers. Controversial huh?
This will be a good movie for me to watch since I am trying to learn Portuguese – at the same time, the subject matter is so controversial that I am quite interested to see how they play the roles and how compelling it would be.
As you know, the movie is a Brazilian film entitled Do Começo Ao Fim. (From Beginning to End) It is a movie about brothers who are also lovers. Not only that the subject matter is quite taboo, it is also something that probably won’t go well in the U.S.

Rocky Road for Rosie O’Donnell and wife Kelli Carpenter? Splitsville?
I just want to find out why gays are screaming for gay marriage again? Wouldn’t it be easier to just say “See Ya!” – and move forward? I’m kidding of course but I read online today that Rosie O’ Donnell and partner Kelli Carpenter are “having issues” with their relationship.
If you remember, the couple got married in San Francisco back in 2004 for a very well-publicized wedding. As expected, tabloids targeted the couple and every once in a while, you read about breakup rumors. But this time, there may be truth to the rumors. After National Enquirer published the Kelli Carpenter moved out of their home back in August, Rosie felt compelled to say something about it. She told USA Today:
“Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues,” she told the newspaper as tears allegedly welled in her eyes. “Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties.”
It would be a sad day if that happens. The kids they are raising together remains a priority however, according to her statement:
“But everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together. We will both continue to parent them and we’re friendly and everything’s all right.”
Big Brother Winner Adam Jasinski uses his $500K winnings to buy and sell drugs
Whoah! What in the world??? Is that what you would do if you win $500,000 from a reality show? Is this what they call greed?
Allegedly, Adam Jasinski – the winner of Big Brother 9, was busted for attempting to sell and distribute oxycodone. Oxycodone is a powerful pain killer that is highly-desired because of its euphoric effects.
After winning $500,000 from Big Brother, Adam Jasinski has allegedly been using his winnings to buy and sell the drug. Can humans really be content with anything? I guess, the more you get… the more you want. If convicted, he faces 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

We want those boobs back – - California Pageant Officials to Carrie Prejean
… Uh-oh…Well, not literally… the saga isn’t over yet. Miss goodie-two-shoes Carrie Prejean sued the Miss California Pageant organizers (K2 Productions) after she was relieved of her duties as Ms. California by Miss Universe Pageant owner Donald Trump. She apparentlymade appearances without permission from the pageant officials which made her appearances a violation of her contract to the organization.
Prejean sued K2 Productions, Lewis, his former codirector Shanna Moakler (who resigned her post amid all the hubbub earlier this year), and pageant publicist Roger Neal for slander, libel, religious discrimination, public disclosure of private facts and infliction of emotional distress for supposedly using her as a scapegoat for any negative attention they may have received over the antigay marriage position she took before she was named runner-up at this year’s Miss USA pageant.

‘Where the Wild Things Are’ reigned at the box office this weekend with $32.5 million

After Pananormal Activity’s surprising success with limited theater release, it did well again this weekend gaining third place with a known $11,000 budget. After seeing it however, I didn’t become a fan. It’s like watching Blair Witch Project while on a wild boat ride through disturbing seas. I was sick to my stomach with motion sickness, I was even late for work the next day because of it.
While that kind of phenomenon didn’t dominate this weekend’s box-office. Warner Bros.’ “Where the Wild Things Are” came up number as 1 earning $32.5 M followed by Law Abiding Citizen with $21.3 M – the phenomenal movie still did well comparing the budget spent for each of the films. $11,000 dollars spent with another $20.2 million earned is not bad screening in only 760 theaters. There will be an expected increase to that revenue when it goes full blast next weekend with 1,800 theaters.

Ever since Twilight became a huge sensation, right after we drooled over Rob Pattinson… there was this one guy in the background who probably didn’t even think he will be as big (if not bigger) than the star of the movie himself.
Yes peeps! That guy’s name is Taylor Lautner, the 17-year old hunk of Twilight. The movie brought him so much attention that he is now considered as one of the most promising hunks. Teens love him and so do we!
He was at a photo shoot last October 8th in Los Angeles for Rolling Stones. And then he stripped for us for GQ. He’s got that appeal… that IT-factor that makes us all swoon and hover around him. Believe me, those abs are not photoshopped. Those are real.. just look at his pics wearing a wet t-shirt. Could you just die?
