I am very pleased to have been granted an interview with Reyna Elena of Reynaelena.com. If you are familiar with this blog at all, and if you’re a regular listener to our podcast, you may have heard that he’s one of the reasons why I am a blogger. I have been trying to get him to guest on my podcast but have failed to do so due to our conflicting schedules.
Reyna Elena (known as well as @la_kapitana on) Twitter has finally given us the royal interview. Our stories go back to the very beginning when we all started blogging. Pardon the noise and the barking dogs in the background. I decided to leave the interview as raw as it is to give you the experience as well.

I had a very scary encounter with fate today. I was in a car accident and my life almost flashed before my eyes. Thinking about it all, I realized once again that life is too short and that in everything we do, day-after-day, we should really try our best to live our lives as if it is our last.

The Chuva Chienes Show is getting a lot of feedback now from listeners. Our guest for tonight, for the second time on TCCS, Fabulous and Professional Hairdresser, Ham Viloria.
It’s our way to try and save the last podcast filled with technical difficulties on both ends. Nagkaloko-loko ang connection namin and Ham, a perfectionist, wanted to redeem himself by asking for another guesting at TCCS.

TCCS – The Chuva Chienes Show TCCS Podcast 5 – The Technical Difficulties of Ham Viloria – Ha!
At long last! From the beginning of the podcast to the end, I have had nothing but technical difficulties with this one.
It started as a simple podcast arrangement with one of my Twitter friends who would like to call in to TCCS – The Chuva Chienes Show – and discuss whatever subject matter that would come up. We set up a date and a time where he can call me only to find out that the technology that was supposed to help us make things easier, made things worse.
@hamviloria is a Twitter acquaintance who’s heard about The Chuva Chienes Show from our circle of friends on Twitter. He was quick to volunteer to call in and speak to yours truly, Chuva Chienes. I promptly agreed and the call was set.
Namputcha… when the time came, we were met with one problem after problem. First, the computer he was supposed to use to call me on Skype was out of order. We tried another way by using his blackberry, downloading the Skype app while he called me on my iPhone which already had the app. All was saved right? Not really.

It wasn’t all that bad. It turned out really well in the end and I was pleasantly surprised to hear @hamviloria’s voice for the very first time. Pramis, ka-boses niya si Bryanboy. Haha! But we had a fun time talking and he is a pleasure to talk to. I really wish we had more time.

If you are a regular visitor here at Chuva Chienes dot com, I’m sure you know me by now. Madaling ma-infatuate si Chuva. I meet all sorts of people and sometimes, I do become infatuated with some of them. Do you all remember JOSH? Yup, he’s one guy I became infatuated with last summer. We remain very good friends and thank God for that.
The most recent one was Eric. As you may all know, he is a bar tender at the bar that we normally go to once a month in Philadelphia. I blogged about him before. Like all infatuations, medyo nahulog ang ditse ninyo. I was hoping for the impossible. He became a very good friend of mine in a matter of weeks and now I was expecting more.
I know that it isn’t right specially knowing that the guy is straight and has a girlfriend. Pero, it’s not bad to dream naman di ba?
Tonight, he said that he may be leaving his job. He hugged me tightly and said, “I will keep in touch. “
Hope or no hope, he has become a part of me na. I know. It seems very strange di ba? In a matter of three weeks, ganun na ‘ko kahulog sa kanya. But like the tattoo on his wrist said, “This too shall pass.” (yes, that’s his wrist on the pic above) – I’m sure that I will get over it. For now, hayaan ninyo lang na mag-emote ang ditse ninyo… listen to my podcast and find out.
