Chuva – The Next Chapter…

I have been blogging for 10 years now. Surprisingly, my blog has survived the emergence of large social media applications like Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. I have blogger friends (or used to be blogger friends) who have now switched to Facebook to create their posts and get reactions from their readers. Inasmuch as I like Facebook, it’s not as personal to me than having my own blog. My blog is a diary of sorts. I get to put my thoughts together without the noise of ads and videos that now constantly plague social media sites.

Just like successful artists of our time, one has to evolve with the times. In my case, I am evolving with what matters to me most. I had a fun time blogging about celebrities and they do generate a good amount of traffic but I can’t keep up. With a full time job and other activities, it is so hard to keep up with the latest news about celebrities.

This time, I am going to change my blog to the travel blog that it was supposed to have been a few years back. I have been traveling and I am lucky enough to have visited several countries in my lifetime but I am not even halfway in reaching my goal. I have vowed to travel to a country I have never been every year. It has not materialized yet but it will be soon. I also vowed to travel alone and experience how it is to meet strangers along the way and to learn from them, dine with them, and get to know them and their culture.

I met a couple of young guys who, at the age of 23, have already been to 13 countries. And…they have traveled alone and met people in Eastern Europe and Asia. These guys have learned more about other cultures that most of the people my age have ever done.

I will start sharing with you, my journey around the globe.

So keep an eye on my posts – now dubbed as #chriscapades. You can follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Until then – – –

Signing off…..
